Chapter 373:
What Adamson didnât realize was that his shares had already been secretly transferred by Barbara. She had kept it a secret, worried about how he might react. Now, he was merely an old man without any resources.
Adamson looked at Barbara and Freyja with approval.
âYouâre right. Itâs a solid plan! Tomorrow, you can help Collin pack and make arrangements for him to go to Uwhor.
Do it quietly, ensuring no one suspects anything.
Everyone should believe heâs going abroad to gain experience.â
Collinâs face changed.
He had just returned and was reluctant to leave again, yet he refrained from expressing any objections.
Freyja sat nearby, her head bowed in deep thought.
Even now, Adamson refused to let go of Collin, the good-for-nothing illegitimate child. It was deeply disheartening.
Freyja recalled when her sister had wanted to study abroad. It had required much convincing for Adamson to agree. Yet, Collin was being sent away effortlessly, and for what seemed more like a vacation.
How could she not feel resentful about this?
For the past two weeks, Freyja had debated whether to push things this far. Now, it seemed she had been too soft. She recalled Ritchie mentioning Uwhor, a place under their influence. Maybe she could arrange for Collin to encounter some difficulties there.
With this idea taking shape, Freyja resolved herself.

Collin could never return to the country.
He might not die, but he would have to endure a life far worse than death in Uwhor!
With this thought, Freyjaâs expression brightened, and she adopted the image of the obedient daughter to Adamson.
âDad, your plan is excellent. I happen to know some people in Uwhor. Iâll ensure they look out for Collin. Once things calm down here, we can consider bringing him back.â
âRegarding the company, even though weâre nearing bankruptcy, the attacks from that big shot ceased half a month ago, and we still have some resources. I might not have your decisiveness, but I can manage the smaller issues.
Given the current special circumstances, Iâll take care of the minor issues myself, but for major projects, Iâll reach out to you through video call.â
Adamson appreciated Freyjaâs support and patted her shoulder in approval.
He then gave Collin a stern look, signaling him to start packing.
Seeing her strategy working, Barbara discreetly ushered Freyja and Collin toward their rooms. Once she was alone in the living room with Adamson, Barbara leaned in toward him, her expression one of feigned concern.
âIâm so relieved youâre back. Iâve been restless these last two weeks, worried about your safety. Thankfully, Freyja handled the external pressures on the George family well. I donât know what I would have done otherwise.â
Moved, Adamson patted her hand without a hint of suspicion.
âDonât worry. Nothing will happen to me. Iâm not planning on going anywhere again after this.â
