Chapter 347:
Harlee was deeply troubled by their willingness to incur significant losses just to make a point to the Green family.
Her father had risen from a small, unknown company to one of the four major families, step by step.
Her brothers had earned their current positions through their own skill and effort. Yet, they were ready to forsake years of hard work to defend her.
Harlee understood this as her familyâs love for her, but it hurt her to see their efforts wasted and witness them relentlessly fighting the Green Group. Since the issue began with her, she resolved to put an end to it.
âWhat are you thinking about?â Kareemâs unexpected voice didnât surprise Harlee, as she had sensed someone approaching before he got close.
Harlee turned, gestured to the sofa next to her, and smiled.
âHave a minute? Want to chat?â
Kareem nodded slightly, walking over to the sofa and sitting down.
âWant to talk about Green Group?â
Upon hearing this, Harlee nodded immediately without any hesitation.
As expected, Kareem always seemed to know her best.
Resting her chin in her hand, she slightly tilted her head, the coldness in her gaze melting a little. She took another sip of her coffee and then said, âI need to know when Brenton and the others plan to call it quits.â

Kareem pulled out his phone, scrolled through the group chat set up specifically for dealing with the Green Group, and showed it to her.
âIt looks like a persistent fight. You know, our parents, Brenton, Fleming, and the rest really care about you.â
âItâs quite a headache,â Harlee said, taking the phone from him. She had been occupied with projects for the National Aerospace Agency over the past month and hadnât been able to focus much on the business rivalry. She was taken aback by the intensity of the conflict between the Sanderson family and the Green family.
âNever mind. Iâll take care of it quietly.â Seeing the financial damage to the Sanderson family, Harlee felt a twinge of sorrow. In just one month, the Sanderson family had lost more than two billion, and with Flemingâs losses included, the total had reached at least three billion.
Her brothers really didnât see money as an object!
Kareem tapped his fingers on the table and looked up.
âActually, they would stop their assault on the Green family if you just said the word.â
âIâd rather handle it my way,â Harlee responded. She didnât want to admit that she felt three billion was excessive. She planned to use a third party to absorb that amount and then return it to her brothers in full. Yet, she lacked confidence in pulling this off.
As Harlee considered her next steps, Kareemâs unexpected comment broke the silence.
âRhys takes his responsibilities seriously.â
The words caught Harlee off guard. Kareem, who rarely had anything good to say about the Green family, was actually praising Rhys? The thought unsettled her, sparking a whirlwind of questions in her mind.
