Chapter 344:
Harlee reclined with ease on the plush sofa of the Tartarus Club, bathed in a soft pool of light that highlighted her elegant profile.
Her eyelashes fluttered seductively as she languidly let her hand fall to the side of the sofa, her voice dripping with indifference.
âEnd your intimate encounters in ten minutes,â she declared, her tone detached.
On the other end, Ritchieâs theatrical whimpers filled the air, causing Harlee to reflexively pull the phone from her ear, though his cries still reached her.
âHarlee, really now, who do you think youâre underestimating?â
Unmoved, Harlee simply raised her glass, taking a leisurely sip.
Just two weeks prior, she had tried to carve out some downtime with Tonya and Ritchie, only to walk in on a scene far too intimate, unveiling their secret relationship.
Harlee had never shown much interest in the romantic escapades of others. Yet, Tonya, unable to contain her enthusiasm, took it upon herself to narrate their entire love story, detailing who had declared their feelings first. Tonyaâs stories were imbued with a dreamy, romantic hue, which ultimately led Harlee to oversleep until the late hours of the following afternoon.

Shortly thereafter, Tonya and Ritchie made their way to the Tartarus Club, arriving at the designated private room with just ten minutes to spare, slightly breathless from their hurried pace. Once inside, Tonya flung herself onto the sofa, her body sprawling like a limp puppet, her head finding a soft landing on Harleeâs chest. With a playful gleam in her eye, she gently tilted Harleeâs chin upwards and teased, âHarlee, isnât it about time you found someone special for yourself? Why keep delegating tasks to Ritchie and me? How about you give us a break? Letâs say seven or eight days off over the next couple of weeks. Maybe we could work a day and then take a day off, or even two days off after two days of work. Weâd manage fine even if we worked one day and took two off.â
Beside Tonya, Ritchie nodded enthusiastically in agreement, his movements vigorous.
Both of them were all too familiar with the nuisance of being interrupted by work calls on every date. It was the most vexing part of their routines, yet he felt compelled to keep his grievances to himself.
Harlee paused, a glimmer of amusement flickering in her deep eyes.
She gently pushed Tonyaâs head away, her gaze dropping contemplatively as if she were mulling over the suggestion. With a relaxed, casual tone, she replied, âIâll think about it.â
Tonya folded her long legs beneath her and sprang toward Harlee, curling up beside her and cooing softly, âIf you take too long, I might just wither away from unmet needs, you know.â
Ritchieâs ears flushed a deep red. Tonyaâs straightforwardness was staggering at times.
A subtle smile played across Harleeâs lips, her eyes sparkling with a mix of mischief and embarrassment as a blush tinted her ears. She turned slightly, adding, âWeâll talk about this later.
For now, enjoy a monthâs break, and yes, that means no phones.â
Overjoyed, Tonya threw her arms around Harlee and planted an exuberant kiss on her cheek, her voice dripping with affection.
âHa-ha, I knew you loved me most, my darling!â
âButâ¦â Harlee began, only for Tonya to swiftly cover her mouth with her hand.
