Chapter 229:
She responded coldly, âNot interested.â
Without waiting for Collinâs reply, Harlee continued on her way, choosing a narrow path that cars couldnât follow.
Collinâs smile grew more mischievous as he watched her walk away.
âRun all you like. The more you run, the more I want to catch you! Thereâs no woman I, Collin, canât win over!â
His presence didnât affect Harleeâs mood. She kept walking toward the café at her steady pace.
Along the way, she passed many students from the nearby Baythorn University.
âOh my gosh! Is she a celebrity? Sheâs absolutely stunning. I want to ask for a photo!â
âSheâs not a celebrity. I saw her in Mr. Batesâ office. I think sheâs an aerospace engineer.â
âReally? Is there such a gorgeous engineer next door? Sheâs breathtaking!â
âI heard sheâs going to give a lecture at Baythorn University soon. Iâve already got my friend to reserve a seat for me! I have to ask her where she buys her clothes.â
âExactly! Iâve been admiring her outfit.
Each piece looks simple, but together theyâre spectacular!â
âEven though Iâm not studying aerospace, Iâm determined to get a seat.â
The discussion continued.

Harlee paid no attention to the chatter around her and continued walking at her usual pace.
Approaching the café, she peeked inside through the glass. The café was quiet, with only Tonya and Ritchie sitting opposite each other. The relaxed vibe between them made Harlee stop in her tracks, watching them chat and laugh.
Memories of Tonya and Ritchieâs times together brought a gentle smile to her face. The way they interacted was quite nice. There was no need for a confession to change the nature of their relationship. Keeping each other company, no matter what, was more than enough.
As Harlee reminisced about the three of them spending time in Uwhor, a joyful smile gradually brightened her face.
Inside the café, Tonya saw Harlee and signaled her to come over.
It had been forty-eight hours since Harlee had picked Tonya up from the airport and dropped her off at Ritchieâs place.
Greeting that familiar, smiling face, Harlee walked toward the window seat where Tonya and Ritchie were sitting.
Shortly, Harlee was standing right in front of them.
âDidnât I tell you to wait for me at the gate of the National Aerospace Agency?â she asked. She had originally sent them the location of the gate, but Tonya had changed the plan to meet at a café five kilometers away.
Tonya chuckled sheepishly.
