Chapter 174:

Ritchie was waiting for her by the elevator.

“Harlee, why so slow? Are we still up for a late-night snack?”

Harlee shot him a look, and Ritchie immediately dropped the subject.

He respectfully guided her into the elevator.

“Don’t worry about what comes next. I’ll take care of everything for you.”

“Now, you’re talking,” Harlee replied with a faint smirk.

Ritchie’s lips twitched in amusement but said nothing more.

The next morning, compromising photos of Liliana in bed flooded major platforms, accompanied by headlines announcing the Juarez family’s bankruptcy.

Later that day, as Harlee drove to the Torres family residence to finalize the dress design with Zandra, her car was abruptly blocked by Valentina.

Valentina, once a polished and composed woman, now looked as though she had aged ten years overnight.

Her face betrayed signs of neglect, the gloss of her previous perfection replaced by desperation.

As Harlee brought her car to a stop, Valentina stormed up to the window, shaking her fist and yelling, “Harlee, you wretched girl from nowhere! Liliana was just joking with you, yet you drove her to the brink. You heartless creature, you destroyed my Liliana. I’ll kill you!”

Harlee arched an eyebrow, her voice calm but cutting.

“A joke? That joke came with a heavy cost.”

Valentina puffed out her chest, her expression unflinching.

“What’s the big deal? You merciless woman! The Juarez family raised your mother, yet you pushed them to bankruptcy. The nerve of you!”

Harlee’s eyes filled with disgust.

“I simply gave Liliana a taste of her own medicine.

How is that merciless? The bankruptcy of the Juarez family has nothing to do with me. You should be finding out who really caused this and begging them for mercy. There might still be a chance for you.”

Without waiting for a reply, Harlee released the brake and pressed down on the gas.

Suddenly, Valentina pulled out a small knife, her voice filled with rage.

“Harlee, you pushed Liliana to attempt suicide and end up in the hospital. You’ll pay for this!”

As Valentina lunged forward with the knife, Harlee pressed the gas pedal, surging the car forward. Valentina stumbled and fell to the ground.

Harlee stopped the car, turned around, and calmly recorded a video of the unreasonable Valentina lying on the pavement. She sent it to Ritchie with a brief message.

“Is this your idea of a cleanup?”

Ritchie’s reply was immediate.

“I thought you might find life a bit dull, so I spiced things up for you.”
