Chapter 173:
Harlee brought the drugged wine to Lilianaâs trembling lips.
âLiliana, you should get some rest. When you wake up, the Juarez family will be ruined, and so will your reputation.â
âNo! Donâtâ¦â Liliana shook her head frantically, her voice breaking with despair. She knew exactly what would happen if that wine was forced down her throat.
While she thought she could endure the humiliation of being raped by several men tonight, the idea of reporters storming in tomorrowâher name and compromising photos plastered across headlinesâwas unbearable.
Harlee tightened her grip on Lilianaâs jaw, her face shadowed with contempt.
âWhy didnât you think clearly when you drugged me? Why didnât you consider the consequences then?â
Realizing that pleading was futile, Lilianaâs expression turned fierce, and she resorted to threats.
âHarlee, how dare you do this to me? Arenât you afraid of the Juarez familyâs revenge?â
Harleeâs eyes burned with anger, her voice sharp.
âThe Juarez family? After tomorrow, the Juarez Group will be gone. What retaliation is there to fear?â
Liliana froze, her mind racing. She remembered the conversation she had overheard at the study door.
Her body went rigid as the weight of Harleeâs words sank in.

Her face turned ghostly white, her wide eyes brimming with fear. Regret consumed her as she realized the full extent of her mistake. She had not only provoked Harlee but had also dragged the Juarez family into a catastrophe they could not escape.
Liliana lay on the bed as if nailed there, her body motionless.
Her complexion was pale as paper, tinged with a sickly bluish-gray. She stopped struggling and ceased her desperate pleas for mercy.
Harlee, seeing Lilianaâs state, remained relentless. Without hesitation, she forced the drugged wine into Lilianaâs mouth.
Lilianaâs regrets wouldnât change anything.
Harlee knew that if she hadnât found the drug in time or been more resourceful than Liliana, her own fate could have been far worse. Sympathy for malicious individuals like Liliana only led to trouble.
Once Harlee confirmed that Liliana was unconscious, she slipped into the closet to hide. Moments later, the door creaked open, and four shady men entered the room.
âNo way! This woman is gorgeous!â
âEnough talk.
Get to work. The reporters will be here in a few hours. Remember the plan?â
âYes! When the reporters arrive, weâll say she seduced us and that weâre the victims.â
âIâm already undressed, and youâre still talking. Iâm not waiting for you.â
As they began their assault, undressing and climbing onto the bed, their hands reaching out for the unconscious Liliana, Harlee quietly exited the closet and slipped out of the room unnoticed.
