Chapter 151:
âLetâs get going! Harlee is back. Time to play bridge again!â
Harlee paused, her mind still caught up in the conversation she had just had. If Matteo knew she was the head of Janessa Studio and also Quick Cameo, why did he lead her there last time? Was it a test? Did he want to meet Quick Cameo face-to-face? Or was he scheming something bigger?
âHarlee!â Brixton said, waving his hand in front of her.
âWhatâs on your mind? Letâs continue the game!â
Ritchie sensed trouble might be brewing on Briceâs end.
A rare flicker of worry crossed his usually stoic eyes.
He was about to dismiss everyone when Harlee intervened.
âOkay. Letâs keep playing.â
Only then did Ritchie suppress the doubts in his heart.
Two hours later, Brixton had lost all the hundred million Rhys gave him, plus his own tens of millions, and even owed Harlee thirty million.
âHarlee, how can you be this luckyâ¦â Brixton was dumbfounded.
Bruno, while not as unlucky as Brixton and continually losing, was nearing his limit too.
âThatâs it. Iâm out. If I play any more, Iâll be left with nothing.â
Brixton, rendered speechless by Brunoâs statement, was not ready to quit.
He turned to Harlee and asked, âCan you teach me how to excel in the game of bridge?â His face was earnest, eager to master the art of playing this game well.
Harlee raised an eyebrow, her smile playful.

âSure, butâ¦â
âBut what?â Brixton quickly interjected.
Her lips curved into a sly smile as she leaned in and whispered to Brixton, âBankrupt the Juarez family, and Iâll teach you.â
Brixton stared at Harlee as if she were insane.
Him? How could someone like him, a typical playboy, manage to bankrupt the Juarez family? Had he misunderstood, or was she not thinking clearly after her win in the game?
Harlee nodded at him, her confidence undimmed.
âI told you, youâre as capable as your brother. Taking down the Juarez family should be easy for you. If you doubt it, consider it a challenge. If you succeed, it proves Iâm right. If you fail, Iâll cover your losses. Think of what youâve just lost as your capital.â
With that, she passed all the chips she had won back to Brixton.
The confusion previously seen in Brixton was replaced by a thumping heart and a surge of fighting spirit.
Harlee had always been skilled at noticing peopleâs hidden strengths. With a mere glance, she saw Brixtonâs potential, her precise perceptiveness having been proven in betting on Ritchieâs capabilities in avenging his mother.
She felt sure Brixton would impress her by handling the Juarez family neatly. Now, all Brixton needed was a little motivation.
Brixton responded with determination, âAlright! Since you believe in me, Iâll knock them down! Just watch. I wonât disappoint you!â He then walked away with a confident stride, pulling Bruno along.
