Chapter 150:
Hamilton swiftly transferred ten million to Brixton and even reminded him to have a good time without stressing over any losses.
Initially, Brixton was puzzled about why Rhys knew he was playing bridge, but then he remembered Rhys seemed to know everything.
He gladly accepted the funds.
Three hours later, Brixton exclaimed, âHarlee, that was a grand slam! Youâve really got some skill, pulling off a hand like that!â
âStop with the compliments. Pay up!â Harleeâs composed voice responded.
Then, suddenly, her phone lit up. It was a message from Brice.
Harlee looked at her phone, pushed back her chair, and stood up.
âI need to step outside for a moment.â
Brixton, deeply engrossed in the game, objected.
âNo way! Youâve just taken millions from me. I need a chance to win it back!â
Bruno slightly frowned.
âYeah, Harlee, youâve had all the fun and the winnings. We havenât had our turn yet.â
After three hours of playing bridge, Bruno had warmed up to seeing Harlee and Ritchie as friends.
Ritchie viewed Brunoâs and Brixtonâs reactions with amusement.
He had seen many people throw money around, but never so eagerly to lose it. They really were two wealthy fools.
Ritchie picked up a card from the table, twirling it between his fingers with a faint grin.

âWhy the hurry? Sheâll be back to wrap up the game as soon as her call ends.â
This reassured Brixton.
âFine.
Go make your call, but come back fast. Weâll resume then. Iâm going to win my millions back all at once!â
Harlee proceeded to the designated phone booth.
âBrice, whatâs the meaning of your message?â
Briceâs message suggested Matteo had discovered her true identity. Which identity? Quick Cameo? Or something else?
Brice seemed to anticipate her question and offered no details, simply saying, âItâs not fully clear, but Matteo definitely knows youâre the one behind Janessa Studio.
He knew even before he last requested to meet you.â
Harlee realized this was the extent of what Brice could uncover. It looked like she would have to confront Matteo once more.
Feeling her hesitation, Brice became anxious.
âIs this going to cause trouble?â
âNo worries. Iâve got this,â Harlee said, reassuring him after a momentâs thought.
âJust focus on your work and return afterward.â She feared that Matteo might try to use Brice against herâ¦
After ending the call, Harlee stepped out of the quiet booth.
Before she even made it back to the bridge table, Brixtonâs boisterous voice filled the air.
