Chapter 150:

Hamilton swiftly transferred ten million to Brixton and even reminded him to have a good time without stressing over any losses.

Initially, Brixton was puzzled about why Rhys knew he was playing bridge, but then he remembered Rhys seemed to know everything.

He gladly accepted the funds.

Three hours later, Brixton exclaimed, “Harlee, that was a grand slam! You’ve really got some skill, pulling off a hand like that!”

“Stop with the compliments. Pay up!” Harlee’s composed voice responded.

Then, suddenly, her phone lit up. It was a message from Brice.

Harlee looked at her phone, pushed back her chair, and stood up.

“I need to step outside for a moment.”

Brixton, deeply engrossed in the game, objected.

“No way! You’ve just taken millions from me. I need a chance to win it back!”

Bruno slightly frowned.

“Yeah, Harlee, you’ve had all the fun and the winnings. We haven’t had our turn yet.”

After three hours of playing bridge, Bruno had warmed up to seeing Harlee and Ritchie as friends.

Ritchie viewed Bruno’s and Brixton’s reactions with amusement.

He had seen many people throw money around, but never so eagerly to lose it. They really were two wealthy fools.

Ritchie picked up a card from the table, twirling it between his fingers with a faint grin.

“Why the hurry? She’ll be back to wrap up the game as soon as her call ends.”

This reassured Brixton.

“Fine.

Go make your call, but come back fast. We’ll resume then. I’m going to win my millions back all at once!”

Harlee proceeded to the designated phone booth.

“Brice, what’s the meaning of your message?”

Brice’s message suggested Matteo had discovered her true identity. Which identity? Quick Cameo? Or something else?

Brice seemed to anticipate her question and offered no details, simply saying, “It’s not fully clear, but Matteo definitely knows you’re the one behind Janessa Studio.

He knew even before he last requested to meet you.”

Harlee realized this was the extent of what Brice could uncover. It looked like she would have to confront Matteo once more.

Feeling her hesitation, Brice became anxious.

“Is this going to cause trouble?”

“No worries. I’ve got this,” Harlee said, reassuring him after a moment’s thought.

“Just focus on your work and return afterward.” She feared that Matteo might try to use Brice against her…

After ending the call, Harlee stepped out of the quiet booth.

Before she even made it back to the bridge table, Brixton’s boisterous voice filled the air.
