Chapter 19: ~18~ What are you doing here?

OverprotectiveWords: 9348

"MOM!!" I said staring at the woman I hated so much.

She was wearing a tight pencil skirt with a flowy blouse.

What was she doing here at the park at this time of day?

"Oh. Annalisa." She said with the most disappointment in her voice. As if she was expecting another child in the girls' bathroom to look at her and shout mom.

"What are you doing here.?" I asked my voice still laced with disbelief.

She had yet to actually look at me.

I hadn't seen her in 1 year. The least she could do was look at me, not that I was expecting that either.

She looked more sophisticated than the last time I saw her. Must be another guy in her life.

"Its none of your business girl." She said with annoyance laced in her voice.

I looked down and continued to wash my hands.

Over the years I learned that upsetting her would only make things worse.

"Where is dad?" I asked timidly.

I don't know why but I always get scared around her, even when I am trying to be brave.

"Oh, you stupid girl. He left me, and it is all because of you." She said walking towards me.

"Don't think I forgot all of the problems you caused." She said looking down at me.

I had arrived at my destination on the wall.

"But i-its not my fault you are an at-terrible mother," I said gaining a little confidence towards the end.

Wow. I am actually soo dumb. Why would I say that?

I instantly felt a stinging sensation on my cheek.

I restrained myself from yelling to keep from drawing attention.

I was used to this she would always hit me when I said something she didn't like but was true.

"Don't test my limits, you're lucky we are in public right now." She said.

I held my check silently crying this was only the surface of what she has done to me.

Whenever my brothers aren't around she would kick me, punch me, hold me underwater, lock me in closets and cut me.

It got so bad one time where I was in a coma for 5 months.

My brothers only know one of the things she did to me, but not all and I don't think I will ever tell them.

"Lisa what is taking you soo long. Do I need to come in?" I heard Dylan from outside.

I so badly wanted him to come inside, but I knew I would get punished for that.

They didn't know she was here.

"No everything's alright, just slipped. You don't need to come in." I said hoping he wouldn't for both of our sakes mainly mines.

My 'mother' smiled at me. A fake smile of course.

"Good girl, now don't tell any of your brothers, and you will be fine."

She said with a smirk.

I finally left the bathroom.

"Finally what took you so long you could have told me you had to go number 2." He said laughing, but immediately stopped when he saw the forming bruise on my cheek.

"Hey what happened to your face?" He asked bending down to my height and inspecting it.

"Remember I told you I slipped? Yeah, I slipped, and um hit my face, yeah my face." I said not really sounding convinced.

"Uum okay?" Dylan said scratching the back of his head.

A couple of seconds after I came out a woman with a tight pencil skirt a flowy blouse, dark shades and a huge hat walked out and went the opposite direction.

I knew it was a mom and wanted to tell Dylan so badly, but knew I shouldn't for the best.

"Why are you so clumsy anyway, I mean how hard can it be to walk in a straight line?" Dylan said touching the bruise.

"Ow, don't touch I nimwit," I said slapping his hand away.

"And I don't intentionally try to be clumsy," I said rolling my eyes at Dylan.

Dylan just shook his head and laughed.

"What's so funny?" I asked.

"Nothing clumsy cat" Dylan said smirking at me.

"Whatever," I said quickening, but slowing my pace back when I remembered about earlier.

We finally arrived towards where everyone else was.

"You guys took the longest time," Justin said making a bunch of faces.

"Shut up and I wasn't even that long," I said making sure to cover my face with my hair.

I went back towards the swings and just sat on it.

"I'm getting bored we should do something else," Justin said picking grass from the ground.

"Well luckily for you guys I brought an s'mores kit." Jason said grinning pulling out a shiny box that read 'Your Favorite Smoring Kit'.

"Seriously dude you had to bring a kit," Jacob said laughing at Jason.

"Hey I don't mind I am freaking hungry," Justin said already going at the kit.

I was hungry but wasn't in the mood to eat.

I couldn't stop thinking about earlier. It was normal for my mom to do things like that, but I wasn't sure what she was doing in town.

I was sure my brother didn't know, and I didn't know where dad was.

These whole things were a mess. I just hope she doesn't decide to drop by the house when the boys aren't home.

"ANALISA".

I jumped when my name was shouted.

I looked up and all.my brothers were looking at me.

" Are you coming or not? " Jason asked.

"Oh um yeah I am," I said getting off of the swing.

I sat next to Jacob and got a marshmallow.

"Umm are we gonna roast the marshmallow or no.?" I asked noticing we didn't have any heat.

"Oh, crap I forgot that. Guess we are just gonna have a cold s'mores." Jason said.

"Fine by me," Justin said already stuffing his mouth with s'mores.

We just sat in a circle eating smores and talking about random things.

1 hour later and the sun was already starting to set.

Wow, today has been quite eventful.

"Alright, I think its time we zip this up and get headed home," Jason said packing everything up.

"Yeah, I agree," Jacob said getting up also.

I followed and we started our way towards the car.

I was actually quite tired and couldn't wait to get in my bed and take a long nap.

"Look both ways, kids," Jason said as we were crossing the road.

"Hey, I know how to cross a street," Justin said.

"Then why didn't you look both ways?" Dylan said with a smirk.

"......"

"Yeah, that's what I thought," Dylan said laughing.

We got in the car and I went to the very back.

Which was, unfortunately, next to Dylan.

I don't think I am getting any sleep during this car ride.

"Move over Dylan there is plenty of space on the other side," I said looking at Dylan who had more than enough space.

"Nah I think I like it here," Dylan said spreading his legs and hands.

"Uuuggghhh" I shouted out.

I just wanted to get some sleep.

"Fine you want to play dirty I can play dirty," I said smirking at dyaln.

I then got up, faced Dylan and kicked him until he went over.

"Okay, okay," Dylan said rubbing his shoulder where I kicked him.

I smiled in victory and laid down on the seat.

I eventually found myself drifting off to sleep.

I found myself in a deep dream-like state.

I was about 6 and home alone. Dad was out and I was just with my mom. I was in my room playing with my teddy bears.

I heard loud footsteps coming up the stairs, and I knew instantly it was my mom.

I ran and hid in the closet. My mom entered my room and I covered my mouth with my hands.

"Come on you little prick" I heard her say with such anger in her voice it was unbelievable.

"Hiding from me will only make your punishment a lot worse." She said walking around my room.

She kept walking around until she walked towards the closet doors.

See stoped right in the front of it.

I was scared out of my mind, and so badly wished my brothers were here.

She pulled the closet doors open and grabbed me by my hair.

"Now what did I tell you about hiding from mommy." She said pulling my hair harder.

I screamed out as loud as I could.

She threw me to the floor and kicked me.

I was a crying mess on the floor. Just wishing for any of my brothers to come home.

"Mommy stop please." I cried out, but it fell on deaf ears.

" you know what I am feeling a little creative today." She said walking out of my room.

She went into the bathroom and I heard the bath start.

Oh no I knew what this meant. It was our torture.

She came back and grabbed me by my hair and dragged me into the bathroom.

All the while I was screaming and begging for her to stop.

She lifts my head up and looked me in my eyes. "This is what ugly naught girls like you deserve." She said.

And with that, I was submerged in water. I couldn't breathe and was fighting with all my might to get out.

She brought my head back up and I immediately started gasping for air, but while doing that she stuffed my head back into the water.

She did this several times until I was completely exhausted.

I would barely be able to walk or talk, because of the immense strain.

"Stupid little girl. I wish I aborted you when I had the chance." She said kicking me once more and leaving the room.

On those nights I would sleep with one of my brothers.

I was too scared to tell them afraid that she would beat them too.

"Lisa"

I heard someone say but it was coming from everywhere and nowhere.

"Lisa"

I felt someone shaking me.

I opened my eyes and was met with Dylans.

"You're okay, come on." He said.

I realized I was crying and was on the verge of a panic attack.

"Its okay, it okay," Dylan said rubbing my head.
