Chapter 25: Ging's x Message (Chapter 20)

"Hey, Gon and Y/N, if you're there. So you became hunters too, huh? Anyway, I have a question for you two. Do you want to see me?"

Gon's eyes widen. I sighed crossed my arms.

-Ging's x Message-

A/N: I don't really know how to make Onigiri so... There's a video above if you want to make them!

"If you do, keep on listening. If you don't press the stop button. I'm guessing that's a 'yes'. I'll ask again... Are you two prepared? Hunters are selfish creatures. They're willing to sacrifice anything to get what they want. Stop the tape here if you just think it would be 'nice' to see me... I'll give you a minute."

"Well?" Killua turned to Gon. Gon looked determined.

"So you guys want to see me that much, huh? Well, I don't want to see you."

The boys gasped. "Wow, that's cold," I whispered.

"I don't know how I could face you two now. After all, I chose my own desires over my parental duty. I'm not a decent guy... I'm guessing that by the time you hear this tape, at least ten years will have passed. But there's one thing that will never change... I'll always be... The guy I am... As you listen to this tape, I'm sure I'll be off housing around somewhere... If you still want to see me, find me. But like I said, I don't want to see you. If I hear you coming, I'll bolt. Catch me if you can. You are Hunters now, aren't you?"

"That's sad. Just sad and disappointing." I huffed. "Your dad isn't gonna be easy to track." Killua was about to take to tape out. "Oh, wait!" Gon said. "For what? I asked. "Ging's still there." Gon mentioned.

"Oh, I forgot to mention a few things... It's about your twin. If she isn't with you, find her. When we split, your mother took your sister and I took you. Her name is Y/N. I don't know where she is or where she could be. She has brown hair with (Eye color) eyes if I remember correctly. Now about your mother, if you want to want to learn more keep listening. If you don't-"

Gon cuts off the tape. "Not that I could blame you." I smile. "Are you sure?" Killua asked. Gon nods. "But he might have left you a clue." Killua protested. "I doubt it. It was about my mom so the topic of him was dead." I explained. "Besides, I already told you... My mom is Aunt Mito." Gon told him. "And my mom is Kikyo," I added. "I see." Killua thought of loud. "Are you guys hungry? I'll grab something to eat." Gon got up.

"I going to take a piece of that cake!" I got up too. "Yeah." Killua nods. We walked to the door. "Hey, guys! The tape started moving all by itself!" Killua yelled. "What?!" Gon raced me over there. "Why?!" I shouted. "There's aura around the tape player!" Gon mentioned. "It's Nen... It's rewinding the cassette!" Killua explained. "No! Don't we need that!" I complained. "Is he nearby?!" Gon looked out the window. "No, I think he did this ten years ago." I asserted. "So it would start rewinding, once it was stopped!" Killua added. "Why?" Gon leans closer to it. "Beats me," Killua replied.

The tape player stopped and started recording. "Is recording now!" I said. "I get it! He's trying to erase his own voice!" Killua elaborated. "What?!" I tried to stop it but it didn't work. "Why isn't it stopping?" I asked. Gon unplugged it and it still operated. "It still won't stop!" Killua yelled. "But I pulled the plug." Gon looked at it. "It is laced with nen (I changed it from men to nen cause of autocorrect.) now remember?" I got up and kicked it by the closet.

It didn't even scratch. "What?!" I tried stopping on it. "It's no use! The nen is protecting it!" Killua exclaimed. We kept punching it multiple times but it still looked good as new. We gave up and sat back down. The nen wore off of the tape player after.

"Looks like it's done." Gon pointed out and Killua and I sighed. We pressed play and all we heard was our voices being played back to us. "The duplicate tape was also wiped." Killua held it in his hand. "Why would he go to all this trouble?" Gon asked. "Because he hates us," I grumbled. "I'm guessing he doesn't want to leave any clues," Killua added.

"What do you mean by clues?" Gon interrogated. "You can extract a lot of information from an audio clip," Killua explained. "Really?" Gon shouted. "Yeah! You can determine his height, weight, age facial features..." I illustrated. "- chronic diseases, and also psych profile." Killua added. Gon gasps. "From the background noise, you can also determine location. But he was more worried about something else."

"Yeah, us finding him." I rolled my eyes. "Besides that, what do you mean?" Gon implored. "Nen abilities... I wouldn't be surprised if there were a nen user somewhere who could analyze data better than a machine. Someone who would know everything about a person just by hearing their voice." Killua elaborated. I gasped. "Really?! That's amazing!" I smiled. "Oh, I get it." Gon commented. "Your dad's formidable," Killua said while pulling me closer to hug me from behind.

"Since the tape's useless now, we only have two clues left. The ring and the memory card." Killua pointed out. "I doubt the ring will help but, the memory card could be important." He added. "It's smaller than a regular memory card," I mentioned. "You think we need exclusive hardware?" Gon added. "Huh?! You guys can't tell? This memory card only works with the JS." Killua picked it up.

"JS?" Gon repeated. "Oh! That gaming console called..." I tried to figure it out. "Joystation. It's a Joystation." Killua confirmed. "Oh..." I mumbled. "It's three generations old," Killua added. "If this island still has tape players, it probably has a console somewhere..." Killua thought out loud. "Is there a toy store here?" I asked.

"Yeah, there is." Gon replied. I got up and Killua followed. Killua walks away and I follow him. "Be right back!" I told Gon. We go outside and I see Aunt Mito watering her plants. "Oh, where are you two going?" She asked. "The toy store Auntie-San!" I answered. "It's outside the port!" Gon shouted. "Okay, Gon!" I smiled.  Killua grabbed my hand and ran faster. "Have a safe trip lovebirds!" Gon teased.

We stop at the store and I grab my phone. I smile a take a picture of us. I post and Killua walks inside. "Really?" He asked. "What? I haven't posted on (Snapchat or Instagram your choice) in a while." I told him. I captioned it, 'Me and Killua are going to the toy store today 😪' and I posted it. I get a notification 6 minutes later on Hisoka's Instagram.

"Killua... we need to find the console before Hisoka and Illumi get here." I run with Killua to an aisle.

I show him the texts and he rolls his eyes. "Come on." He walks around and looks for anywhere to hide. We saw an employee-only door and Killua didn't hesitate to run inside. "Get inside the box. They won't think about that." Killua pointed. "No! That's going to be so cramped!" I complained. "Did I ask?" He told me. I cursed under my breath and I go inside the box. He closed it and left.

I've been waiting in this box for 30 minutes. I heard footsteps a while ago but, that's it. I get out and I fall. Packing peanuts cover a section of the ground and the noise of the box that slapped the floor echoed. "Did you hear that bubs?" A clown's voice echoed the huge room. "Yes, I did." He answered back. I quickly ran towards the door I open it and I quickly sprint away from it. The door slams shut and it rings through the space. "They escaped Illumi!" Hisoka yelled as he runs out the door.

Illumi walks behind him. The door shuts and I lock it. I put a chair under the handle and something crashes into the door. "Damn. It's okay. We will find another way in there, bubs. Let's go!" Hisoka shouted and I heard footsteps walk away. I ran away quickly. "Killua! Killua! Where are you?" I whispered-shouted. I look around.

"Boo!"

I scream and turn around. A hand covers my mouth and I accidentally hit my back against a wall. "Baka, don't scream like that." The person covering my mouth said. He smiled. I push him off of me. "Don't do that!" I huffed. Killua laughed.

"I hear them!"

My eyes widen. "Let's go!" I uttered and I ran towards the locker rooms where the employees put their stuff. I roam around. "We don't have time for a tour!" Killua said as he sets me in the unused locker that had no shelves. I heard a door close. "I don't have time to hide anywhere...." Killua steps inside and closes the door. "This is so-" I tried to speak but he covers my mouth again. "Be quiet." He commanded. "Hey, Illumi, do you see them?" Hisoka asked. "Nope. All of these lockers are locked too." He fidgeted with a lock next to us. "Hm... What's that?" Hisoka leaned in closer to the locker we were at.

A door slams and Hisoka perks up. "They got away again!" Hisoka runs away. We wait for a couple of minutes before we relaxed. He sighed and his breath tickled my neck. "Ack! Get away from me!" I push him onto the wall. He chuckles. He opens the door. "Ok... Now to find that stupid console." Killua rolled his eyes. I looked like a tomato. "I'll stay here." I sit down. "Hah?! Do hear yourself? You sound stupid. Get up." He held his hand out. "No!" I cross my arms.

He grabs my hand and pulls me up. I take my hand back and I follow him.

We walk outside and Killua looks at me. "What? Oh, can I get a kiss?" I asked. He blushed. "No. I don't like your lip balm." He turned away. "Whatever." I walk faster. I face time Gon. "Hey what's up?" Gon asked. "Hey, what do you want at the Café?" I asked. "Wait! No, I'm sorry!" Killua tried catching up to me. "Shut up! Stop following me! I hate you!" I yelled. "What did he do?" Gon asked.

"He was being rude! I don't wanna talk to him." I responded.

I took a picture of Killua following me and I sent it to the group chat.

I ran but Killua catches up to me and hugged me from behind. I rolled my eyes. He lays his head on my shoulder. "Please don't leave my side, please. I wanna go get some chocolates." He pouted. "Ok..."

I turned around. "Hey! Are you still there Y/N?" Gon shouted. "Yeah," I replied. "Ok, I want some orange juice and a cookie. Thanks, sis!" He said before hanging up. I hug him and we stand there for a while. I had my face in his shoulder too so I didn't see the people looking at us.

"Can we go to the café?" Killua asked. "Nope." I let go and I walk away. I walk into the café anyway. "Hey, may I please have 5 chocolate robots, a chocolate milkshake, orange juice, a chocolate chip cookie, a vanilla latte, a red velvet cupcake, and...(favorite drink and dessert) please?" I asked at the register. "Of course!" The male smiled and walked into the kitchen.

I look around at and it was small. "Here you go, Ma'am! That would be 11.95." He said. I gave him a 50 and left. "Keep the change." I waved my hand and closed the door. I took my drink from the bag and I took a sip. "Y/N." Killua tried to get my attention. "What?" I asked. "Did you get your lovely boyfriend anything?" He tried to take a peek into the bag. "No." I looked away. "What?! Why?" He asked.

I open the store's door and the bell rings. "Good Morning! How can I help you?" The busy waitress scrambles around the place. "Don't worry I'm just checking in." I smiled. The waitress looks at me and smiled. "Y/N! I haven't seen you here? How did you know I worked here?" Aimi asked. "Gon," I replied. "Oh." She collected herself and lead me to a booth. We sat there as Killua rested his head on my shoulder.

"I got you something!" I took out the vanilla drink and cupcake. She gasps in excitement. "Thank you!" She smiles and takes a sip. "Is this from the new place? I love their stuff." She told me as she enjoyed her food. I took out my food and I put Killua's stuff on the table too. His cat ears and tail show and he smiles. I put my head down. "Thank you, Love." Killua strokes my head while eating his sweets. I hummed. I put in my earphones and I shuffle my playlist.

"Okay, I'll let you guys go now." Aimi offered. "Thank you for the treat." She added. "No problem," Killua said. "Y/N looks ready to leave." He said. "No, I'm fine." I pick up my head.

I put my head by the window. It was pouring rain. "Ok, let's go Love." The albino gets up and helps me get up and yawn. Killua kisses my cheek and waves goodbye to our friend. We leave and he notices it's raining. "Damn. Let's go to this store." He leads me to a clothing store. I noticed a clear umbrella with flowers on it. I bought it and I go outside.

"Wow..." I smiled and noticed Killua. I give him the umbrella. "Try to catch me, Kitty." I winked and made a run for it. "H-Hey! Get back over here! You'll get sick!" He chased after me.

I run and I trip. The rain wasn't pouring down but the dirt was mud. I got up and tried to dust it off. "Welp." I go inside and I go into Gon's room. I take a dress and I change quickly in the bathroom. I took out my dessert and I gave Gon his stuff. I take out the Joystation. I was wearing a green dress and a hat with sunflowers on it.

(Replace whatever going on with the legs with white boots.)

Killua soon comes in and sits next to us. "So this is a Joystation..." Gon audibly thought. "This brings back memories. I used to play with these all the time." Killua confessed. "Oh, I remember when we first got it!"

~~~Flashback~~~

"Um... What's that?" I asked as a poke the box. "It's a game console. Here, let me set it up in your room." The older brother goes into our room and messes with the tv. I had my stuffed bear with me and I gently tug on his shirt. "Hey, Illu, can you please do my hair?" I asked. He finishes setting the game up and he sits on the ground. I sit in front of him. "What do you want?" He asked. "I want (favorite hairstyle) today!" I cheered. He nods and started doing my hair.

"Ooooo, are we doing hair today?" Someone chimed in. "Stop sneaking into the kid's window, Kil might see you," Illumi ordered. "Aww... Oh, young Y/N!" The pink-haired man sits in front of me. He takes a deck out of his sleeve and shuffles the cards. "Pick a card, dear." He suggested. I take a 7 hearts and I look at it. I put it in the middle of the deck and Hisoka throws it away. "Huh? Why did you do that?" I asked. He flicks his wrist and my card suddenly was in his hands. "Was... This your card?" He smiled. My eyes widen and I clapped.

"Did I do good, bubs?" He made puppy dog eyes. "Sure." He finished my hair and I turn to him. "Thank you!" I smiled. "You're welcome." Illumi smiled a tiny bit. Which was fairly rare. Hisoka suddenly rubs inside the closet and Killua busts open the door. "Hey (Nickname)." Killua glares at the person behind me. "Can Illu do your hair? Please?" I asked. "I guess." He kept glaring at Illumi. I replaced myself with Killua and Illumi started doing his hair. Illumi already had his hair up because he was finished with today missions

After Illumi was done Killua ignored him. "Thank you Illu!" I smiled. "You're welcome." He said as he walked out the door. "Let's play... Hmm..." I look that the games Illumi brought us. "How about Smash Bros.?" Killua picked it up. "Okay!" I grab a controller.

Killua was flustered. "Why would you tell him that?" Killua asked. "I don't know," I replied. Gon giggles. "There were also hidden gems! I only found 2 though." I added while putting it down. "So is this a hidden gem? I don't see a title written anywhere on it." Gon looks at it again. "Have you never played a video game before? That's weird." I commented. Killua set up the game. "That isn't a game disc. It's a memory card." I told him. "So I can't use it to play?" Gon asked.

"Do I have to say it? No, you can't." I took it and put it inside the console. "You can see which games are using that memory though," Killua said. I checked my phone while the tv was loading.

"Oh my God. We traumatized Leorio guys." I closed my phone. "Good," Killua said as the TV finally loads. I go to the memory card and press 'X' "It only looks like one game is used..." I told them. "It's called 'Greed Island," Killua stated. "Greed Island?" Gon repeated. I nodded my head. "There's a bunch of saves," I added. "I doubt it will do any good," Killua said.

"Can you copy it just in case?" I asked. "Of course," Killua told me before putting another card in. "Copying Greed Island." The TV spoke. Killua got up and went on the computer. "What are you doing?" Gon questioned. "Searching online," Killua said. "Hey, can we do something after this? Like the beach?" I scratched the side of my head. "Yeah! Totally!" Gon smiled at me as Killua typed on the device.

"What?! Not a single match?" Killua shouted. "Looking for stores?" I got up and looked over his shoulder. Gon went to Killua's side too. "Does that mean it's out of print?" Gon asked. "There aren't any used copies either..." I groaned. "It's possible that this game isn't for sale," Killua said. "What do you mean?" Gon asked. "It could be an indie game," Killua mentioned.

I pat Killua's shoulder. "I'm going to ask Auntie-San something. Be right back." I told him before I closed the door. I go downstairs and Mito was about to cook. "Hey, Auntie-San! Can me and Killua cook dinner?" I volunteered. "You don't have to." She smiles. "But can I?" I begged. "Sure. I will finish up the laundry." She left and I looked around the kitchen. There were enough ingredients to make onigiri. I got them out and laid them down. I tie an apron around my neck and waist. I washed my hands after.

A few minutes later I saw a figure run downstairs and I turn. There wasn't anybody there. I shiver a bit. I turn to the food and I started cooking the rice.

"Hey, what are you-"

I jumped and uppercutting the owner of the voice. "Ow!" Killua rubs his chin. "Sorry! I didn't know it was you!" I apologized. "Why don't I believe you?" He asked. "What?! Please, what can I do for you so you can forgive me?" I begged. "Hmm..." He pondered. He suddenly smirked and my eyes widen a bit. "Don't get any silly ideas!" I commanded. He grabs my hand and moves closer to me. I back up and he closes the space. He kisses my hand and smiles at me. I felt heat rush to my cheeks.

"What are you making?" He asked again. "O- Oh, um..." I turn my head to look at the ingredients. "Onigiri! Yeah!" I shyly smiled. "Can I help?" He pleaded. "Yeah, just go find an apron and wash your hands," I told him. I turn to the factors of the dish and continued washing the rice. "CHEF KILLUA IS NOW HERE!" Killua declared.

"What are you doing, Kitty?" I strained the rice water a bit. He was wearing a yellow-green cat apron. "Nee-hee." His cat ears and tail appears. "Oh! I forgot to ask you but... Can you convince Piggy to tell us about Greed Island?" He begged. "Sure." I smile. I grab my phone and I scroll to Milluki's profile.

(This is Killua by the way!)

I click the phone icon and my phone immediately started ringing. "Hello?" A voice said that wasn't Milluki. "Hey, Gotoh." I began making the rolls. "Hello Lady Y/N. How are you and Killua?" Gotoh asked. "We're amazing! Can I talk to Piggy?" I pleaded. "He's out of town." He told me. "Gotoh, you are going to lie to me, right in my face?" I stopped cooking and everything went silent. "Tell Milluki if he doesn't pick up, I will single-handedly destroy his disgusting excuse of a room... Alright?" I ordered him.

The phone transferred and I smiled. "Hi, Piggy!" I said cheerfully. "Don't act like you didn't just threaten me. I will kill you if you go in my room." He demanded. "Hm... We'll see... Anyway, do you know what Greed Island is?" I asked. "That really rare game, yeah I've heard of it," Milluki said. "Do you have it?" I started making the food again and Killua watched me and repeated what I did. "No, I wanted one when they were out but I was five and broke." He stated.

"There were over two thousand requests for only one hundred copies. Even though each copy cost five billion, eight hundred million Jenny in cash. I tried looking around later, but I couldn't even find a owner. It's a legendary game for all kinds of reasons. Are you looking for a copy?" He explained. "Yeah," I told him. "It's impossible! Forget it Y/N even I had to give up." He insisted. "Oh?" I smirked.

"So you gave up because it was too hard for you... Aren't you an assassin too?" I said just to annoy him. "That was in the past though! I have a lead now but, considering the amount of effort and money it's not worth it." Milluki argued. I can hear him eating through the phone. "Can you tell me those leads?" I asked. I finished the rice balls and I started cooking the main dish. "Not for free!" Milluki yelled.

"How about a Greed Island memory card? Is that a good trade?" I negotiated. "What do you mean?" Milluki questioned. "We have a Greed Island memory card. It can be all yours if you tell me your lead." I told him. "Are you lying?" He dully said. I gasp dramatically. "Why would I lie to you? We are making a deal." I insisted. He sighed. "I have two leads," Milluki confessed.

"Hold on, hold on, HOLD ON! Don't say it over the phone," I shouted. "It's fine. It wouldn't help anyone eavesdropping." He claimed. "Okay..."

"Okay, thanks Piggy! I'll send you the memory card soon!" I hung up and Killua hugged me. "Why are you hugging me?" I asked. "Because I love hugging you." He nuzzled his face onto my shoulder. "Okay, okay!" I giggle and pat his back. "Hey, Killua! Did Y/N find the leads?" Gon asked running down the stairs.

Killua last go of me and moved the onigiri onto the table. He takes a seat on the counter. "What did Piggy tell you?" Killua asked. "Oh, he told me there is a Hunter website only for hunters!" I explained to both of them. "There should be leads there!"

"Perfect!" Gon rushes towards his room but Killua restrains him. "Baka! Don't go on your computer! They will know your address!" Killua yelled. "Yeah, you'll have bad people who want your license knowing where you live and they will show up on the island. How about we use a public computer?" I explained. I finished the food and placed it on the table. "Oh, can we go bowling?" I asked.

Gon and Killua looked at me. "What? Scared I'll win?" I teased. "No, you already know I'll beat you," Killua smirked. I flicked his forehead and I ran to Aunt-Mito's room. "Hey, me and the boys are going bowling! Food is on the table if you are hungry!" I told her. "Alright have fun!" Mito said while she folded laundry. I took off the apron as Killua does the same. "Gon, can you show us the way?" I slipped on my shoes.

Once we got to our lane we looked at the bowling balls. "This one is perfect!" I smiled as I put it on the rack. (I don't know what it's called) It was (Favorite color) and it had a 20 carved into it for the weight. Gon and Killua got theirs and we put our names on the computer. Our names were displayed on the tv

Killua picked up his blue and white ball. He rolled it and knocked down 5 pins. "That was amazing, Killua!" Gon cheered. "I could do better." I insisted. Killua waited for the bowling ball to roll out of the machine. "Oh, Piggy also has another lead. It was at the Yorknew Auction. It's probably one of the biggest auctions ever." I explained. I took out my wallet and I took out my card. "Really!" Gon shouted. Killua rolled the ball again and took down the other 5. I got up and I went over to get food. I noticed music playing in the background.

I bought us drinks and I put them in the table. "Your turn Y/N!" Gon pushed me towards our bowling balls. I saw in the screen Gon got 7 pins. I grab my bowling ball and I roll it. "Wow... only 6?" Killua mocked. "Shut up!" I crossed my arms.

In the end, Killua won by 1 point. I was second and Gon was last. "Hah! I won!" Killua bragged. I gave the employee our bowling shoes, ignoring the albino. "Good job guys!" Gon cheered. "Thank you Gon." I flashed a smile at him. "M'Lady, can you talk to me? I'm sorry for bragging!" Killua tried to apologize. "So Gon, are we going to Yorknew tomorrow?" I asked. "Yeah!" He smiled.

By the time we got to the house, I gave in and let Killua hold my hand. Gon opened the door and Aunt Mito smiled. I noticed Aunt Mito made a few more sides. "Your food was amazing Y/N." She complimented. "Thank you!" I smiled. "What's the feast for?" Gon asked. "You're leaving soon right? I don't know when you're coming back so, please eat up." She urged. After we are, Aimi showed up. "Gon, I heard you were leaving again..." She said disappointed. "Yeah..." His usual smile turned into a frown. "Well, is it possible if I come? I can't best to see you leave me again." She lowered her head. Gon hugged her tightly. "Of course you can come!"

She hugs him back tightly and I smile. "Do you want me to come to your house so I can help you pack?" He asked. She nodded and Gon turned to us. "I'll be back!" He said before shutting the door. I looked at Killua for a moment and I got up. "We should probably pack too." I pushed the chair in. Once we finished packing we went to bed. I was mostly staring at the stars while Killua went to sleep.

It was around 2 when I glanced at Killua. He was sleeping peacefully. I smiled and kissed his forehead. "Goodnight." I good the unconscious boy. "You missed." He suddenly said. I jumped and I looked at him. "That wasn't fun-" Before I could finish I felt something in my lips. I close my eyes and I kiss him back. After a few seconds, he pulls away and lays back down. "Goodnight." He smiled as he closed his eyes. I felt my heated face calm down before I join him. "I love you." He whispered loud enough for me to hear.

"I love you, too."
