Throwing open his wardrobe rows upon rows of green robes greeted his eyes. FeiNan grimaced at this and dug deeper to find a dark blue robe that looks like it has not been worn for a long time.
Looking into the mirror he finally could see his reflection for himself, thin white body with features although soft but has a hint of heroism.
He quickly threw his robes on and opened the door, but he could only take one step before a small voice screeched,
"How can host forget your great system so fast...I'm sad host you idiot.."
Sighing in defeat, FeiNan grabbed the small bead and walked out the room, he needs to understand his surroundings before attempting anything.
The small bead slowly realises how inconvinient its current shape was and quickly molded itself into a pair of earrings,
"Host! System has changed shape, please touch the right or left side for the shop and missions respectively!!"
The earrings quickly flew to FeiNan's ears and attached themselves with a click, he softly muttered thanks while observing the compound.
Occasional servants stop and bowed greeting him but he continued along his way, his footsteps slowly brought him closer to the entrance of the whole estate.
Outside the horses neighed and the busy vendors set up shop not far from where he was.
The busy market noises roused the curiousity within FeiNan and he walked out the estate and toward the noises.
After a while the market place revealed itself, many people at the sides hollering and selling their novelty goods, one trying to drown out their neighbour's advertising.
Suddenly a beeping sound jolted him from his moment of stupor, the system urgently saying,
"Host this novel's protaganist is close-by, a mission requirement is to meet the protaganist, will Host complete mission?"
"En. Guide me."
The system quickly scanned the vicinity and listed out directions to the protaganist. Not forgetting to insert warnings such as,
"Wherever the protaganist is there will be danger that follows, system urges host to be careful."
FeiNan nodded carelessly, more focused on getting to his intended target. His legs bringing him away from the market place and into dark alleyways.
The earring beeped once to signal that he had reached his destination, a dirty and tattered wooden door greeted him. FeiNan tilted his head, in novels the protaganist is usually the loved son of god, why is he in a dingy house?
His hand reaches out and knocks om the door once, but the knock itself actually opened it.

He slowly pushed open the door just enough so he can squeeze through, and what greeted him was a thin, sickly lady lying in the corner with only a straw mat as a mattress and thin cloth as a blanket.
The air in the house was damp and beside the lady was half a piece of bread and a bowl of murky liquid.
FeiNan was confused, was the lady the Protaganist?
"Answering Host, lady is not protaganist."
He looked around the small room slowly approaching the weak person under the covers.
Woken by the shuffling noises from his shoes, the lady struggled to open her eyes as she grasped the air infront of her,
"JunQing? Where are you? Mother can't see very well."
FeiNan felt a pang of pain as he watched her grabbing the air. Wordlessly he knelt on the ground and cupped her hands within his and only said,
"En."
"JunQing your hands seem smoother, have you been taking care of yourself well like I told you?"
Tears blurred FeiNan's eyes as he tightened his hold on the woman's hand.
"En."
His past life and the scene before him overlapped in his mind and his mouth opened,
"Mothe-"
"Who are you?! Get your hands off her!!"
A deep voice shouted at FeiNan, causing his body to jerk and he whips around to see a boy who seems to be the same age as him, but his skin is honey toned and more muscualar overall.
The tears that did not fall chose to roll down his cheeks at this instant, as the system sounded.
His left earring beeped and the system sounded,
"Mission 'Meet Protaganist' has been claimed, now points are 060, continue to work hard Host."
