753 Both sides weaponize blood
Slaveone became confused as to why Meaty, who should be his ally, would attack him in such an important event. He didnât think he would ever get backstabbed in front of so many eyes looking at them.
With a frown on his face, Slaveone turned his head around. He quickly saw he was mistaken.
It wasnât Meaty who attacked him. Meaty was not only about half a meterâs distance away from him, but Meaty was also under attack.
The bloody blade saw shield Mimi had previously thrown kept spinning and moving in the air as if it had a mind of its own.
Meaty was attacking it, yet because it was not damaged to the point of falling to the ground, the shield kept recovering its altitude and attacking Meaty like a pesky fly.
Slaveone bulged his muscles and pushed out the sword in his shoulder. What fell on the ground was Mimiâs rapier. A weapon he did not expect to inure him because no one was holding it.
Mimi, with her bloody claws extended, smirked slyly. She moved her gaze, and the bloody blade saw shield headed toward Mimi as if it was being ordered to approach her.
Mimi moved her gaze to the ground and smirked again. The rapier suddenly vibrated and shot toward her.
As the rapier arrived beside her shoulder, the rapier stopped, faced its tip at Slaveone, and hovered beside Mimi as if it was waiting to listen to her next order.
.....
âExperiences of blood are meant to be used. â Mimi said while she had a spinning shield hovering beside one shoulder and a rapier hovering beside the other shoulder.
The audience looking at Mimi had the impression of the shield and the rapier being possessed by a mysterious phenomenon. Only a few of the audience could understand what was happening.
Mimi was simply controlling the shield and the rapier thanks to the control boost over her blood in her current state. A state only achieved thanks to drinking Vincentâs mutated blood.
The situation appeared to have changed the moment the two gladiators had more targets to attack and more attacks to pay attention to.
Mimi went on the offensive. She sprang forward while two deadly bloody weapons followed her. Upon reaching the striking zone, Mimi swung her long condensed bloody claws.
Slaveone used his shield covered by energy flow to block the attack. After he got used to Mimiâs previous pattern, he overlooked that two more attacks were going to occur at the same time.
Mimiâs claws were blocked, but that was only the first attack.
The bloody blade delivered the second attack saw shield. As it circled Slaveone, the spinning blood attached to the shield lacerated his back.
The rapier delivered the third attack. The rapier pointed at Slaveoneâs shoulder. The bloody blade extended and pierced his shoulder in the blink of an eye.
Meaty rushed to help Slaveone. He swiftly arrived to stop Mimi from further attacking the weakest gladiator out of the five.
Meaty swung his sword at the hovering shield to stop it. As he knocked it away, he pressed onward to attack Mimi.
Meaty extended his arm to shield bash Mimi, but he hit her mirage. His perception needed to be lower to be tricked by her swift sidestep technique.
Meaty moved his gaze to where Mimi was sidestepping. He then leaned his body and swung his large swole leg.
The attack landed, but it was blocked. Mimi was pushed away, and many of the condensed claws broke from blocking the attack. However, Mimi did not like the notion of suffering alone.
The condensed fragments of the falling broken bloody claws shot like bullets at Meaty. Additionally, the shield recovered its altitude and headed toward him at the same time.
Meaty bulged his muscles, and his skin became tougher than before. He took the projectiles and the shield attack like a champ.
*Tsk* Vlad clicked his tongue. âHer attacks are weak, and I can barely see any disgusting blood spilling from her opponents. She needs more training.â Vlad complained, yet those who heard him believed he was rooting for his daughter in his own way.
Karta gently shook her head. âCanât he stop being bashful and proud for once? But he is not wrong in this regard. Mimi lacks a finisher. She can inflict a lot of wounds, but she can not land one spectacular killing blow.â She murmured while moving her gaze to Vincentâs fight.
Vincent finger shanked Punchingbag. He parried a punch and countered with another finger shank.
Vincent blocked the next punch. His feet dragged on the ground as his body was pushed backward. As he stopped, his eyes focused, and they could see what was happening with Punchingbagâs body.
.

.
âNo wonder I can land more attacks thanks to Kazumi. You are growing older by the second, and your stats are also degrading by the second.â Vincent mocked.
Punchingbag didnât notice much difference with his body. Instead, he was feeling more accustomed to his new power more than ever.
Punchingbag rushed to attack Vincent. His attacks were being parried in the nick of time, and whenever Vincent blocked his attack, causing Vincent to get pushed back, he rushed to land a hit on the staggered Vincent.
However, no matter where Vincent was looking or if he was resisting getting knocked to the ground, Vincnet could react to the mighty strikes, as if he had no blind spot.
Punchingbag and Vincent were currently locked in an endless fight. If Vincent made a mistake or if Punchingbag landed one good hit on Vincentâs body, the situation would change drastically.
[Vincent. Are the preparations done? You can not keep taking those hits for much more, and your body is reaching its limits to keep up with your opponent.]
-I think I need to inject a little bit more of my collected mutated mana into his body.-
[You better hurry up because Lupa and Awa are having a hard time while Mimi is in her groove. She can keep fighting against two opponents for now.]
-What about Ester? Why didnât you mention her?- Vincent asked. He was a little worried about not hearing Kazumi mention her name or her fight.
[You better take a look for yourself when you can.]
Vincent stabbed his opponent blessed with regeneration. Although Punchingbag was closing the wounds by flexing his muscles, the condensed mana left in his body was delaying the effects of regeneration.
The annoyed Punchingbag threw a strong swift strike. *Clang* Vincent blocked the strike, and as he was pushed back, he peeked at Ester.
Esterâs fight was captivating, and it made the audience question who to cheer for.
On one side was a powerful large swole gladiator with two swords. On the other side was a frail-looking woman with multiple lights on her body as she danced to survive.
However, the situation was different than it seemed. Bloody was swinging his sword at Ester. The blades were covered with yellow steaming blood as if it was acid.
Ester could only use three out of the four common elements. Furthermore, the earth element was useless against an opponent with so much strength stat.
Ester could only use two elements. She could use the wind element to boost her movement speed, yet she could still not keep up unless she used heaps of mana to evade each attack by a hair.
The other element was ice. She did not have enough time to freeze anything. Furthermore, whenever she swung her swords to attack and Bloody blocked with his bloody blade or bloody shield, the frozen blood would melt as if it was boiling hot.
Ester and Bloody were at a temporary standstill. Only time could tell who would lose their advantage first.
Ester slid under Bloody and slashed his kneecaps. The swole muscles were cut with the blades covered by sharp wind, and the skin was cold.
Ester stood up and swung her sword at Bloodyâs back.
With an annoyed frown on his face, Bloody turned around with his arm swinging.
Ester created multiple wind sigils under her feet, as it was too late to dodge. She shot her body back, but it still was not enough.
Ester swiftly pointed the two swords at Bloody while covering the end of the hilts with wind sigils. A moment later, the two swords shot at Bloodyâs shoulders.
âUgh.â Bloody was caught off guard, and both blades penetrated about halfway into his tough swole tough muscles. This attack caused his swinging arm to move slower and the blade to only cut Esterâs baggy blue pants.
Ester elegantly backflipped a couple of times before stopping. Ester moved her gaze to look at Bloody. A frown appeared on her face the moment she saw the large swole gladiator flexing his muscles, and the two swords she shoved were gradually being pushed out as if an invisible person was pulling them out.
*Thud* Ester saw her two swords fall to the ground. âThis is getting harder than we all predicted.â She murmured.
Bloody raised his sword with a mocking smirk on his face. He was feeling both triumphant and angry to have his time wasted. The murderous intent extruding from his body indicated he was about to use a powerful move.
Ester prepared for the unknown attack Bloody appeared to be preparing.
