Third person point of view
After a while, Luke came out of the kitchen. " Food is ready ". Leo switched the television off and walked to the table. " Looks yummy ". Luke sat down and then saw Leo sit in front of him. " Leo, come here ". " What is it ? " Even if he asked, Leo got up and walked to Luke. Luke pulled Leo onto his lap making him squeal. " What are you doing ? " Leo struggled to get out of his lap. " Just sit. It will be more comfortable than the chair ". Leo rolled his eyes and tried to move.
" Now be a good boy and sit properly. Come on Leo ". Leo sighed feeling defeated. He sat more comfortably. They both ate and cleaned up. Once they were done with it, Luke went to put the clothes in the washing machine. While that was happening he started cleaning the dishes. He rejected Leo's help and did it all by himself.
Leo stood back hugging him for a while and then sat on the counter chatting while Luke was cleaning them. By the time he was done there, the washing machine beeped. Leo helped him hang the clothes. After that he started with cleaning the house. It was rare for them to have a day off and spend time doing these. So even if it going to be tiring they were willing to do it. Leo cleaned their bedroom and the other room.
The remaining was all done by Luke. By the time he was done, he saw Leo sitting on the couch. Luke put his head in Leo's lap and closed his eyes. " So tired ". Leo chuckled. " I told you to let me help. You didn't listen to me and did it all by yourself ". Luke opened his eyes. " It is fine. It is not like I do it daily. Once will not kill me ". Leo turned to the television and ran his hand through Luke's hair. Luke gradually fell asleep.
He opened his eyes after a while to see Leo who was still watching television. He sat up properly and got up from the couch startling Leo. " What is it ? " Leo was looking at Luke not knowing reason for his sudden actions. Luke pulled Leo by his legs and pushed him onto the couch in a sleeping position. He cuddled up with Leo and closed his eyes. " Luke, what are you doing ? " He looked up at Leo. " Just sleep. It is not like you will get to rest every day. So sleep ". Leo nodded and switched the television off. He put his arms around Luke and closed his eyes. He really did fall asleep.
They enjoyed happily cuddling but then the workload was going to be a bit more the next day. Luke suggested on dropping Leo to the office. Leo rejected but after getting nagged at so much, he agreed. Luke was able to convince Leo. Leo rolled his eyes, when he saw how happy Luke was. Luke walked into his office to be greeted by Ken who had a teasing smirk on his face. Ken kept teasing Luke the whole day every time he had a chance.
And Luke could only rebut by saying that Ken was jealous. In the afternoon, Luke heard that Kayla's father has come to visit him. Luke smirked and asked to let him in. " This is quite fast. Don't you think so ? " Ken asked turning to Luke with raised eyebrows. Luke just shrugged. Soon they saw him enter the room. " Hello sir. It has been a while. How are you doing ? " Luke stood up and walked forward to greet him with a hand shake. Richard, Kayla's father, didn't say anything and just shook Luke's hand.
" Please have a seat ". Luke gestured to the couch. Richard sat down and Luke didn't miss the solemn expression on Richard's face. " May I know the reason for your sudden visit ? " Richard looked up with eyes full of anger and despair. " You don't know ? " Luke smiled lightly. " If it is about the projects, then I have nothing to say ". Richard scoffed and his breathing turned heavy. " What is there that you cannot do ? You've ruined it totally. Why ? " He was yelling by now, but Luke was still calm.
" You should have known how to put your daughter in limits. Don't you think so ? " Luke tilted his head to the side. " She shouldn't have messed with the wrong person. I didn't say anything when she was all over me before and but, even after I got married, she was planning behind my back. You even wanted to ruin their company ". Luke moved forward his eyes showing anger. " I know every single bloody plan of yours. It looks like..... it just back fired now ".
He sat back turning to his calm and composed self again. " What can I do for you to stop this ? " " I have a condition and if you do it, I will save your company ". Richard looked up. He didn't have a choice. Most of the companies have cancelled their contracts and his company was at the brink of collapsing. He needs to do whatever Luke asks for. " I will make sure it happens. Tell me what it is ". Luke smiled, but there was not even a trace of warmth in it.
Leo had so much work that it was dark when he was out of his office. He found out that Kayla has submitted her resignation. He didn't know what the reason was, but he accepted anyway. Leo walked out of his cabin and was walking to the elevator. He found Kayla on his way out. She halted when she saw Leo. She walked closer and stood in front of him. Luke who was at Leo's office to pick him up has just arrived.
He parked his car and then walked in to take the elevator to the floor Leo was in. He even bought a bouquet again. He walked out of the elevator and was about to turn around a corner, but he stopped when he saw Leo and Kayla standing facing each other. He took a step back and hid around the corner. The other two were not aware of Luke's presence. " You finally won. I accept defeat ".
Leo and even Luke could hear the slight cry in her voice because it wavered. Kayla was having a hard time trying to take everything in. Her father shouted at her and she knew how their company was totally doomed now. She didn't expect it to turn out like this. Leo was confused. " You know what Luke did right ? But then.... when my father spoke to him, he promised to leave us. I am going to leave for abroad tomorrow ". Leo was shocked. " What ? "
During the afternoon
Luke smirked and sat back in his chair. " Send your daughter out of this country ". Richard's eyes went wide in shock. " What ? " " You heard it right. Send her anywhere, so that she will never interfere with our lives again. If you do it, I will give back all of your contracts. Your company will be stable once again without any worries. What do you say ? " Richard fell in thought. It was not that difficult. At least she will be safe and he will be in peace. He nodded.
" Fine, I will send her away. I will send her away first thing tomorrow morning. You better keep your promise ". " I will. Thank you ". Richard nodded his head meekly and walked out. He called Kayla and informed her about her trip. She accepted it without even saying anything. Her father not only scolded her a lot saying she acted out of impulse and foolishness, he even slapped her. It was the first time ever that has happened in her life till then. She knew it was over for sure this time when she heard from her father. She spoke to Zara and submitted her resignation.

Also the next week will be the last upload of this book. I will be done with this book. It feels sad, but I can't help it.
Anyways no sad feelings. I want to be able to finish this with a smile. Just like when I started it. It lit up all of my Fridays with colors. Hope it did for yours too.
