Read Let me go, Mr. Hill By Shallow South Chapter 1913 â â So where is he now? Is he still sleeping? I called him, but he didnât pick up.â
âYoung Master Snow is in the hotel.â Hans laughed as he said, âDo you want me to pass him the breakfast? Iâll let him know about it right away. â
Freya frowned and thought for a moment. âIf he drank a lot last night, I reckon heâs not feeling too well now. Why donât you tell me the name of the hotel? Iâll go over and visit him.â
âWell⦠Iâm not sure which hotel heâs staying in. Last night, he had me leave first. He didnât seem drunk, so I left early since I had to come to work early this morning.â
Hans did not dare tell Freya that Rodney had spent all of last night by Sarahâs side. If she found out about it, their marriage would most likely break down.
However, he did not expect Rodney not to return home last night.
Rodney was probably muddle-headed.
Hans could not help but sympathize with Freya before him.
âAlright, then. Iâll pass you his breakfast. I need to go to work now.â
Freya then handed the breakfast to Hans.
She kept a smile on her face until she got into the car. After that, she could not bring herself to fake a smile anymore.
Perhaps Hans was right. Anyhow, any woman would feel strange when their husband did not come home the whole night nor call to inform them of anything.
Just a while ago, Rodney treated her really well. However, he caused her great distress recently.
Only an hour after Freya left did Rodney rush to the office.
Hans said, âYour wife brought you breakfast this morning. Have you had breakfast? Itâs already cold.
Do you need me to heat it up?â
Rodney looked at the breakfast on the table, a hint of guilt flashing across his mind. As he had eaten a lot with Sarah this morning, he could not take any more food. âItâs alright. Iâve had breakfast.â âSo⦠should I throw it away?â Hans probed.
00:00/00:56 VIETNAM TEMPLES HLS ââ¦Just leave it there. Iâll have it for lunch.â Rodney scratched his head. âHans, arrange for a trustworthy sitter to take care of Sarah for me. Her leg is injured, so it worries me to leave her alone there.â
âOkay.â
After accepting his request, Hans furrowed his brows. âYoung Master Snow, I know you feel guilty toward Sarah, but spending the entire night at her placeâ¦â
âI had no choice but to do that. She sprained her ankle and had a fever last night. I couldnât possibly leave her alone,â Rodney answered in distress.
âWell⦠you couldâve asked me to go over to help out.â In fact, Hans did not want to help Rodney settle this kind of issue after work. However, he did not wish to see Rodneyâs marriage break down either.
Rodney pursed his thin lips.
He had thought about calling Hans over last night, but Sarah kept holding his hand. Later, he somehow lay on the bed and fell asleep in the middle of the night.
âMm. When can you get a sitter? If you canât arrange for someone to take care of her today, can you go there this afternoon to look after her? When I left this morning, her flu was still quite bad,â Rodney said.
Hansâs scalp turned numb. Did it mean that his job as Rodneyâs assistant had been switched to Sarahâs sitter for the next two days?
He was speechless. â Iâll arrange a sitter for her as soon as possible.â
After Hans left, Rodney quickly called Freya. âIâm sorry, Freya. When I was talking to Mr. Micheal last night, my phone was set to silent mode. Later, I lost track of the time as we were talking. By the time I remembered it, it was already late at night, and I was worried that Iâd disturb you.â
He felt very guilty while explaining, but what else could he do?
âWhat a great memory you have. You could even forget your wife and child.â Freya scoffed. How could she not be angry with him? She sent him breakfast this morning on the pretense of probing into his doings.
âWifey, itâs my fault. I promise not to repeat the same mistake anymore. Iâll get off work on time today.
Letâs watch a movie together tonight,â Rodney said imploringly.
