Chapter 8: june nights

bloodredroses | poetryWords: 885

A new adventure

little did I know,

what I'd find will feel like home

below the night sky

as she hugged me,

no more tears to cry

I hope they never leave

pupils dilating,

just like our hearts

music so exhilarating,

neon lights like darts

on a warm summer night,

have you ever felt so bright?

underneath a roof of leaves

with a river flowing right below the trees

from the time

when the stars came out,

until the next rays of sunshine

all we did was talk about

all that we are and who we wanna be

our dreams, our loves, our insecurities

nothing in this world that can't be said,

hoping for all the good times we still have ahead.

And no other night could compare

to then, when we were just being there...

and that was enough.

I've written this one just recently, nostalgia hit me a little... another very personal poem, one of my happier ones, hope you like it ♡♡
