Chapter 94 Final Showdown âBad news, Boss! Mr. Oscar and his fellow disciples are all dead!â the Chomsky familyâs bodyguard, who had been spared, shouted anxiously as he rushed into the Chomsky family- owned residential building.
Tristan, who was awaiting the good news, came running out of the house.
âWhat did you say?â
âTheyâre dead! Mr. Oscar and the others have all been killed by Finnegan!â the bodyguard replied in terror.
What? How is that possible?
Tristan trembled as he took a few steps back.
He then ran up to the bodyguard, grabbed him by the shoulders, and shook him violently as he yelled, âEleazar is the head of the Goldberg Five! Heâs an Enigma Realm fighter in Absolute Rank! How could he possibly get killed?â Tristan slapped the bodyguard hard across the face. âGet lost! You must be lying to me!â
Eleazar and the others were his trump card, so he couldnât accept the fact that Finnegan had killed them.
The bodyguard rubbed his stinging cheek as he exclaimed, âI saw it with my own eyes, Boss! They really are dead!â
Unable to accept that fact, Tristan kicked the bodyguard down to the floor. âThatâs impossible! Youâre lying to me! How could you possibly have made it back alive if they were all dead?â
He was in complete denial.
Not wanting to get hit again, the bodyguard didnât dare say another word as he lay on the floor.
After taking his anger and frustration out on the bodyguard, Tristan let out a sigh and sat down on the stairs behind him. He was so distraught that he didnât even care if it was wet. âAre they all really dead?â
As much as he refused to believe the bodyguardâs statement, he knew the bodyguard wouldnât dare lie to him.
âYes, they are. They were no match for Finnegan at all, the bodyguard replied cautiously Tristan looked as though he had aged ten years in an instant when he heard that.
âF*ck⦠How did things turn out like this?â
I thought killing Finnegan would be as easy as squashing an ant! Not only did I suffer huge losses as a result, but Iâve even lost my most powerful men to him! Is he really that powerful? Where has he been throughout the past five years?
He was snapped out of his train of thought when the bodyguard said softly, âAlso, Finnegant wanted me to tell you to donate two billion and break Mr. Killianâs limbs by tomorrow, or he will destroy the Chomsky family completely.â
âHow dare he!â
Tristan leaped to his feet and clenched his fists angrily when he heard that.
âI think you should admit defeat, Boss. Not only is Finnegan really powerful, but he also has helpers,â
the bodyguard added hesitantly.
Tristanâs eyes grew cold. âHelpers? Who are they?â
âI donât know who those people are, but Mr. Oscar said Finnegan has a Terra Realm fighter in Absolute Rank by his side!â The bodyguard then steeled himself as he continued, âAs such, I would like to tender my resignation, Boss.â
Not wanting to die protecting the Chomsky family, the bodyguard then turned around and ran off as quickly as his legs could carry him.
Bang!
A loud gunshot rang out, and the bodyguard dropped dead a second later.
âI paid you guys a lot of money so that you guys would protect me with your lives in times of danger.
Donât even think about fleeing without contributing anything!â Tristan said with a gun in his hand and a vicious look on his face.
He glared at the remaining bodyguards and let out a disdainful snort before heading back inside the house.
Tristanâs expression grew increasingly vicious as he smashed a vase on the floor. âFinnegan has a Terra Realm fighter in Absolute Rank by his side? Could that be his mentor? Yes, that has to be the case! I mean, how else would he be so powerful? But so what if his mentor is a Terra Realin fighter in Absolute Rank? Does he really think he can destroy my lifeâs work? Not a chance! You forced me to do this, Finnegan! Just you wait!â
Tristan was prepared to go all out for a final showdown.
In order to avoid succumbing to Alishaâs temptation, Finnegan went straight back to Dragon Bay.
The lights in the living room were on even though it was past eleven.
Finnegan let out a sigh at the mere thought of his parents waiting for him as he entered.
Sure enough, Desmond and Quiana were still awake with gloomy looks on their faces.
âMom, Dad, Iâm home. Whereâs Rhia?â he asked as he didnât see Rhiannonâs car outside.
Quiana shot Desmond a fierce glare and said, âAsk your father! Heâs nothing but a slave when faced with his brother!â
Finnegan had a bad feeling the moment he heard that.
Although his parents had argued a lot in the past, he had never heard Quiana speak like that.
Desmond, who could already start walking with the help of a crutch, said, âMind your language when speaking in front of the kids, Quiana! I was just apologizing on behalf of Finny! What did I do wrong?â
âApologizing? Youâre nothing but a slave when it comes to your brother! Raymond and his family deserved to have that marriage canceled! Ximena isnât worthy of marrying into the Haimowitz family, so it only makes sense that they called off the marriage! Why should Finny be blamed for it? Why should we apologize to them? Theyâve been bullying our family for so many years now! Have they ever apologized to us?â
âI donât have time to argue with an ignorant shrew like you!â Desmond looked the other way.
Finnegan knew something was up the moment he heard Desmond use such abusive language toward Quiana.
He quickly stepped in front of Quiana, who was about to lose her temper, and asked, âWhat happened, Mom? What did Uncle Raymond and his family do this time?â
âWhat else do you think they did? Your uncle blames you entirely for Ximenaâs marriage being called off. They even demanded that we compensate them for it! Your father, too, thinks Ximena wouldâve successfully gotten engaged if it werenât for you. He let your uncle and his family into the house while I was out shopping for groceries this morning. transferred two million into your auntâs bank account, and let Xavier take Rhiaâs car! When Rhia found out about it, he scolded her for being immature and told her to get lost, so Rha left immediately after that!â
Finneganâs expression darkened. âUncle Rayınond and his family sure have gone too far!â He then shifted his gaze toward Desmond. âDad, about this-â

Desmond cut him off, âDonât listen to your mom! Weâre only lending them the money and the car!
Theyâll return the money once they can afford to. Rhia has a car that belongs to her company, and she doesnât really use her car anyway! Xavier said heâd return the car after two days!â
âReturn them? Knowing your brother and his family, do you seriously think theyâll return them?â Quiana shouted.
Desmond kept quiet after that.
He doubted them as well, but he couldnât bring himself to turn them down either.
âAs I said, youâre a total slave when it comes to them!â Quiana then grabbed Finnegan by the hand.
âYouâve seen how your father defends them, Finny! Donât you dare be as heartless as he is! You will treat Max tomorrow, or I will disown you!â
He had a father who defended his older brotherâs family and a mother who sided with her younger brotherâs family.
Finnegan never liked Raymondâs and Adrianâs families, and being trapped in the middle by his parents only made him hate them even more.
Familial matters were so complicated that even the greatest of men would have trouble dealing with them, and Finnegan was no different.
âMom, Uncle Raymond will eventually have to return the stuff they took. I wonât let them take advantage of us like that. As for Max⦠Well, there isnât much I can do. Iâve already had someone contact those who are compatible, so it shouldnât be a problem. You and Dad should just stop fighting and go to bed.â
âFinny, Max is-â
âIâm tired, Mom. Whatever it is can wait till tomorrow!â
