As she gazed up at him with her doe-like eyes, filled with a silent plea, he gently adjusted her in his arms.

His movements were delicate, almost as if he feared breaking the fragile moment between them.

Their eyes never wavered, locked in an unspoken conversation.

Her eyes brimmed with hope, a quiet yearning for words she longed to hear.

His, however, were clouded with worry, a burden he couldn't hide.

In that shared gaze, it was as if time had stopped, and the weight of what remained unsaid hung heavily between them, creating a tension both tender and aching.

As Aadish's words poured out, there was a weight behind every syllable.

His voice, steady yet vulnerable, wove a thread of sincerity that Avantika couldn’t ignore.

She stayed wrapped in his embrace, her gaze locked with his, as though the world around them had faded into the background.

In that moment, nothing else existed — no fears, no doubts, just his raw truth.

"Jo humare hote aapke sath hua agar vo na hua hota

(If what happened to us hadn't happened),

to hum aapke liye sari jindagi intezar karne ke liye the

(I would have waited my whole life for you),"

Aadish’s voice softened as he spoke, the weight of his feelings evident.

His confession, though filled with care and reassurance, held an unspoken ache.

"Magr hum aapki jaan ko khatre meh rakh... khudse yuh dur rakh... nhi ji payenge

(But I can't put your life in danger like this... I can't live with that)."

Aadish wasn't just letting her go; he was offering her the freedom she deserved, but with a deep-rooted pain that only he could understand.

His strength, his resolve, all masked a turmoil within.

He couldn’t bear to risk her happiness, even if it meant sacrificing his own.

"Aap shadi ke baad jitna wakt chahti hai le sake hai

(After marriage, you can take as much time as you want)...

humare liye koi dikkat nahi hogi

(It won’t be a problem for me)."

His words were steady, but the care in them was unmistakable.

Avantika, on the other hand, found herself submerged in a sea of emotions.

His words stirred something deep within her — a feeling that transcended everything she had ever experienced.

Her heart clenched, not out of fear, but out of a newfound realization.

She had never heard anyone speak with such clarity, such unwavering love.

"Magr hum aapki Khushi aapko taklif dekar puri nahi kar sakte

(But I can't find happiness by giving you pain),"

Aadish continued, his gaze never wavering.

"Hum mante shadi ek bhot badi responsibility hai

(I know marriage is a huge responsibility)...

aapke liye

(for you)...

magar hum aapko bhi jante hai

(but I also know you)...

aap sab kar sakti hai

(you can handle everything)."

Yet, there was a pause, a hesitation in her.

For the first time, she felt the gravity of what lay ahead.

But in Aadish’s eyes, she found solace.

She found the assurance she had been searching for — not in his words alone but in the depth of his gaze.

Every emotion flickered there, raw and exposed.

And in that silence, as their eyes remained locked, Avantika knew that his words had impacted her more profoundly than anything else ever could.

When, after a pause, still maintaining eye contact, he asked softly,

"Ek baat puchhe?

(Can I ask you something?)"

Avantika, still lost in the depths of his gaze, barely registering the world around her, responded almost unconsciously, her voice soft as if echoing from a distant dream.

"Ji (Yes),"

she whispered, her mind wandering somewhere between his words and the mesmerizing pull of his blue eyes.

As soon as she replied, Aadish's voice followed, laced with a gentle concern,

"Maa sa ki baat buri to nhi lagi?

(You didn’t feel hurt by what Maa sa said, did you?)"

His question carried the weight of his care, his only worry being whether anything had unsettled her from his mother's words.

To this, Avantika replied in the most honest, heartfelt way she could, her tone gentle yet firm.

"Kya baat kar rahe hai aap?

Hume...

Maa sa ki koi baat buri lagegi?

(What are you saying? How could anything Maa sa says hurt me?)

Kbhi nhi

(Never),"

she assured him with a sincerity that softened her voice.

Without hesitation, she continued, her eyes lighting up with affection,

"Aapko pata hai, vo kitni pyaari, kitni cute hai...

vaise ghar mein sabhi cute hai...

yaha tak ki Baba sa bhi

(Do you know how sweet, how cute she is? Everyone in your home is adorable... even Baba sa!)."

As she finished, her mind drifted to the thought of them all, a fond smile touching her lips.

Aadish, meanwhile, was completely captivated, not just by her words, but by the adorable expression on her face as she described his family.

He found himself lost in the charm of her innocence and the warmth of her heart.

As she finished speaking, Aadish chuckled softly and teased,

"Achha ji, Baba sa cute hai?

(Oh really, Baba sa is cute?)"

His playful tone turned into something more sincere as he continued,

"Aapko pata hai, aapke aane se pehle...

matlab, ghar mein kabhi aisa mahol tha hi nahi

(Do you know, before you came, there was never such an atmosphere in the house)?

Koi itna hasta khelta nahi tha

(No one used to laugh and play like this).

Sab apne kamo mein masruf hote the

(Everyone was always busy with their own work)..."

There was a warmth in his voice as he reflected on the changes,

"Magr jab se aap aayi hai, humari jindagi,

humare ghar mein sab badal gaya hai...

sab kuchh

(But since you came, everything in our lives, in our home, has changed).

Aap is ghar ki khushiyon ka kaaran ban chuki hai

(You have become the reason for this home's happiness)."

His voice dropped to a tender whisper,

"Aapko ye parivaar kabhi nahi khona chahta...

jaise hum aapke siva kisi ka hona nahi chahte

(This family never wants to lose you... just like I can’t imagine being with anyone but you)."

As those last words fell from his lips, Avantika felt her cheeks flush deeply.

Unable to handle the intensity of his gaze and the emotions surging within her, she blushed hard and quickly hid her face in the crook of his neck, her heart racing as his words echoed in her mind.

At last, Aadish smiled gently, and Avantika, still leaning close to him, whispered,

"Thank you!"

In the blink of an eye, he responded playfully,

"Kyun?

(Why?)"

as she slowly lifted her head from the crook of his neck and came face-to-face with him.

Looking into his eyes, she softly said,

"Family ke liye

(For the family)."

Aadish’s expression softened even more as he leaned forward, gently resting his forehead against hers.

His voice was barely above a whisper, but filled with emotion,

"Aapne unhe chuna hai, unhone aapko nahi

(You chose them, they didn’t choose you)."

Avantika, with her eyes now closed, quietly replied,

"Magr hai to aapki vajah se na

(But it’s all because of you, isn’t it?)."

Aadish smiled to himself, feeling the depth of her gratitude and love, knowing that she had become the heart of his world, just as she had done for his family.

As they gazed into each other’s eyes, the world around them faded into a blur of warmth and intimacy.

He smirked, a playful glint in his eyes, tilting his head slightly.

"Magar humne aapko nahi, aapne hume dhunda tha ji"

(But we didn’t find you, you found us).

His words danced between them, light yet charged with an unspoken depth.

Her eyelids felt heavy, the gentle pull of sleep threatening to take over, but a soft smile broke through her drowsiness.

"Are baba, thik hai, aap jitte mai Hari"

(Oh dear, alright, you win),

she teased, her voice a mix of resignation and affection.

Minutes melted away, filled with their easy banter, each laugh a thread weaving them closer.

He shifted, finally settling on her bed, his back pressing against the headboard.

She nestled into his embrace, feeling the safety and warmth of his arms envelop her like a cozy blanket.

In that intimate moment, the air thickened with unspoken feelings.

Time seemed to stand still; nothing mattered but the connection they shared.

He held her firmly, unwilling to let go, as if cherishing this fragile moment that felt both eternal and fleeting.

Her heart raced, caught in the thrill of their closeness, and she breathed in the scent of him, anchoring herself to the reality of this night—a moment of tenderness she wished would never end.

Avantika's pov

I don’t remember when I fell asleep in his arms, but I do remember the overwhelming sense of safety I felt wrapped in his embrace.

His warmth is a soothing balm that quiets the chaos in my mind and heart.

Today, just like so many other times, he came to my rescue, instinctively knowing when I needed him the most. After our morning chat, a wave of trust washed over me, and I felt like I could lean into the vulnerability of my feelings for him.

His eyes, deep and expressive, seem to hold a universe of unspoken words.

Sometimes, it feels as if they’re trying to convey something profound, something that transcends the limits of language.

In those moments, I find myself lost in their depths, feeling understood in a way that words could never capture.

It’s in his gaze that I discover solace, a sense of belonging that pulls me closer to him.

With every heartbeat, I realize how desperately I need this connection, how his presence alone has the power to lift the weight of my worries and soothe my restless soul.

His words never filled me; they felt more like gestures of his heart laid bare before me.

Each phrase, though simple, carried the weight of something profound, as if he were offering me a glimpse into his soul.

From the very beginning, I understood his world—the pressures of his work and the power he held.

I remember the day of the gunshots in the office, the day that felt like my dear life was shattering.

But even then, amidst the chaos, I knew he was my safe harbor.

When he looked at me, his eyes whispered promises of safety and happiness, even when his lips remained sealed.

Being with him sometimes feels like walking a tightrope, teetering between love and the shadows of our pasts.

The connection we share is too strong, too vital.

I realize now that he is the king—not just of his realm, but of my heart.

In his presence, I feel both the thrill of danger and the comfort of home, a paradox I’m willing to embrace.

But my heart whispers that I can’t imagine a future without him by my side.

It’s not just the feelings I have for him; it’s the sincerity in his actions, the way he cares for me that draws me in.

I’ve never known love like this, never experienced such genuine affection and support.

It’s as if he’s offering me a glimpse of what true companionship feels like.

And even though his world is fraught with enemies—born out of greed and power struggles—I can’t bring myself to abandon him or his family.

They are caught in circumstances beyond their control, and I see the humanity in them, the love they share.

Leaving them would mean turning my back on the very essence of what he represents: loyalty, honor, and a fierce desire to protect those he loves.

I won’t let the shadows of the past dictate my choices.

I choose him, I choose them, because their love has become an integral part of my life, and I refuse to walk away from that bond.

I can’t help but feel a profound happiness in his house.

It’s as if everything I’ve longed for since childhood is right here, wrapped in the warmth of his presence.

It feels like home in a way I never expected.

As I rest against him, feeling the steady rhythm of his heartbeat and the way his arms cradle me, I drift into a peaceful sleep without even realizing it.

In those moments, I know I’m exactly where I belong—safe, cherished, and utterly at peace.

This is my sanctuary, the place where my heart feels free and whole.

"Vo unhe minate karne ko taiyar the

Magr vo unki nilli aankho meh uhh dubhe

Ki khudko kho baithe

Ha krne ki bhi ijjat na di unke dil me unhe bss aadish kahete gye or unki vani karti gayi "

("They were ready to erase them,

But they drowned in their blue eyes,

Losing themselves completely.

Their hearts didn’t even grant respect to a ‘yes’;

They only kept calling them Aadish and lost themselves in their words.")
