"You wanna know something?" I sigh. I wrap my legs under his as I take a sip of the fresh lemonade he made. "When I first met you, I was terrified. I had no idea how much of an impact you would have on my life."

He gives my ankle a gentle squeeze. "Me too."

"I was so scared of what people thought of me before and you helped me realise that it was okay to be me." I turn and look at into those eyes that always made me melt. "I'm so grateful for you, for us."
