I was in the kitchen of Blake’s house in a pink tutu and a plastic crown which Blake and Allie forced me to wear. Not only that, I was soaking wet. Water was dripping on the tips of my hair and I made squishy noise whenever I moved.

Before I confuse you, let’s rewind to:

Six hours ago:

I was at home, bathing Bruce in the bathtub. I had already bathed and dried Skittles and he’s on my bed, asleep. Bruce was covered bubbles as I styled his hair to a Mohawk, then part it all to one side, then switch it up again.

Reaching for the shower head, I was about to turn it on to wash the suds off him when somebody spoke up from behind me, scaring the daylights out of me.

“Wow.” He spoke.

I squeezed the shower head in surprise making it slip up from my hand and hit my chin. “Ow.”

“If this is how you look like bathing your dogs, you should inform me every time you do so.” Blake was smirking at me.

I looked down on myself with one hand rubbing on my chin in an attempt to soothe the throbbing. I was only in a loose shirt and in my underwear. The blush caught up on my cheeks in embarrassment as I hurled the empty dog shampoo at him which he dodged.

“Go away Blake!” I yelled. “How did you even get in? I swear I locked the door to both my house and bedroom.”

“You gave me a copy of your house key.” He answered as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

“That doesn’t explain how you got in my bedroom and in my bathroom.” I narrowed my eyes at him.

He smiled at me sheepishly. “I used my driver’s license to unlock it.”

“Where’d you learn to do that?” I started. “You know what? I don’t want to know as of the moment. I want you to leave the bathroom right now and close the door. Please.”

“Now why would I do that? I’m loving what I’m seeing.” He teased.

“Blake!”

Four hours ago:

I was ready to curl up and sleep when Skittles had brought something over.

“What do you have there, boy?” I asked, sitting up to inspect what he had brought. “A sacrifice to the gods?”

He released the item on my lap before curling on my pillow.

With my index finger and thumb, I picked up the item. It was a brown leather jacket. Odd. It wasn’t mine for sure because I did not own men’s jacket.

It clicked.

It was Blake’s, duh.

He probably left it on Sunday when I invited him over which lead him to stay the night because we both fell asleep on my bed beside Bruce and Skittles.

I’ll return it soon. I was too lazy to leave my bed.

Apparently, Skittles had other plans for me. It was either he wanted me out of the house or he wanted me out of the house. He was unsatisfied with me setting the jacket aside so he stood up, took the clothing in his mouth and dropped it on my face.

It smelled like Blake’s cologne instantly making me remember him and our odd first date. I had to shampoo and to condition my hair twice the next day to rid of the dried up lake water in my hair.

I decided not to remove his jacket off my face and just to continue inhaling his scent. Skittles started nudging me with his nose on my face, as if to tell me to get my ass off my bed and return the jacket to Blake so that he could take up my entire king size bed.

I followed orders from a dog. A dog.

Well he really didn’t say that since dogs can’t talk, but we all know what he meant.

And I used that as an excuse to go and see Blake, though I really need one since he was my boyfriend.

I pulled off the shirt that smelled like my dog’s shampoo and shrugged on a shirt and pulled on some pants after removing my pajamas.

I was on his porch now, his jacket on my hand, waiting for someone to answer the door. I heard some voices inside, someone squealing and the other laughing. A few seconds later the door opened revealing Blake in a…. in a….

What on earth is he supposed to be?

He was wearing a pair of wings and a multicolored tutu skirt with a matching magic wand in his hand. My jaw dropped at the sight of him. I wasn’t sure on what to do.

“Bethany!” he seemed as equally surprised as me but I’m pretty sure we were on different levels. “What’re are you doing here?”

“What are you doing?” I asked in response. My natural reaction had to play catch up a bit as I burst out laughing at him.

“Daddy the evil weetch is kidnapping my bears!” Allie appeared by his side and clung on to her father’s leg. “She’s killing them- Beth!”

“Hello Allie.” I smiled at her, trying to contain my laughter in.

“The weetch is inside!” she said, pointing to the living room where numerous stuffed toys were scattered. “Help us!”

I swear I saw Blake’s face light up in total evil. “That’s a terrific idea Allie!”

“Come on!” Allie jumped as she took my hand dragged me in the house.

Before we could move forward, Blake stopped us. “Allie, Bethany can’t help us if she’s not in her costume.”

“Bethany?” Allie stopped jumping and looked at her father confused. “Who’s Bethany?”

“Beth is short for Bethany.” I answered her.

She nodded. “You should wear this so that the evil weetch can’t hurt you. It’s protection.”

In her hand was a pink tutu and she was handing it to me.

“And she must wear this too, right Allie?” Blake smirked, raising up a plastic crown with a pink feather trim.

“Yes!” Allie jumped up and down. “Hurry! The weetch is killing the bears!”

“Oh no!” Blake hauled up little Allie on his shoulder and dashed through the living room leaving me behind. “Hurry up Bethany or the witch is going to get you next!”

Letting out a huge breath, I started running towards where they were, standing on the couch.

“She almost got you!” Allie cried and held my hand. “Don’t worry. I will protect you.”

“But who’s going to protect you?” I asked and held on to her.

“Daddy will.” She responded with a huge smile. “Let’s go!”

We jumped off the couch and she led us to the stairs where numerous Barbie dolls were scattered.

“Get in here Allie.” Blake told his daughter, gesturing to the large army toy car on the bottom of the staircase. She hopped in the car and Blake immediately pushed her around the house. “She’s catching up to us Allie! What do we do now?”

I was running beside Blake, a smile that I couldn’t help on my face seeing Blake with Allie and how much he adored her.

“Is it safe outside?” I asked Allie and her face lights up instantly.

“Yes!” She jumped on her seat. “Let’s go out!”

Blake sent me a wicked grin, grabbing my hand as he pushed the car outside. It wasn’t sunny outside but it wasn’t about to rain too. I like that kind of weather.

“She’s catching up!” Allie cried out, flinging her wand all over the place. “No!”

Quickly, I closed the door of the house. “There, she’s locked inside!”

Horror struck Allie’s face. “No! Mr. Fluffypants is inside!”

“Mr. what?” I echoed.

“Fluffypants.” Blake stated firmly. “It originally had fluffy pants before she ripped it out when she was two.”

“Should I get her Allie?”

She shook her head in reply. “Donut! The weetch is inside!”

“Donut?” I asked confused. “You have donuts in your kitch- Holy schnitzels! It’s cold!”

The sprinkler which I didn’t know was there, were turned on. And the water was cold. Allie had ran away before she could get wet. I started sprinting away from the sprinkler and when I thought I was safe under a tree, another one which was beside me started spraying water.

“Why are your sprinklers out to get me?!” I screamed at no one in particular as I darted to a safe place.

I could hear Blake laughing. I turned around to find him and when I did, I saw he was by the water valve, completely dry. So he was the one who turned everything on. That bastard.

“Blake!” I shrieked and ran for him.

That my dear friends is how I ended up in his kitchen ten minutes later soaked in a pink tutu and a plastic crown.

“I should stay away from you.” I muttered, rubbing my arms for warmth.

We had tired Allie out and now she was fast asleep in her room. I thought kids had unlimited energy. Guess I thought wrong.

“And why is that so?” Blake asked with a smirk, handing me a towel to dry off. “What did I do wrong?”

“Every time I’m near you I get wet!” I exclaimed causing Blake to double over in laughter. When I heard my own words, my eyes widened and my face heated up.

“I didn’t know I had that much of an effect to you Bethany.” He laughed, wiping the tears away from his eyes. “I’ll try my best to stay away and try your best to stay dry unless needed to.”

“Blake!” I cried. “That’s not what I meant!”

“So much innuendos Bethany.” He shook his index finger at me. “Keep this going and I’ll think you’d want to get in my pants”

“Blake!” I squirmed at the current embarrassment Blake was holding me hostage in. “That’s not what I meant!”

“Don’t worry my Bethany.” He smirked. “We’ll get to that part later.”
