I was in the kitchen of Blakeâs house in a pink tutu and a plastic crown which Blake and Allie forced me to wear. Not only that, I was soaking wet. Water was dripping on the tips of my hair and I made squishy noise whenever I moved.
Before I confuse you, letâs rewind to:
Six hours ago:
I was at home, bathing Bruce in the bathtub. I had already bathed and dried Skittles and heâs on my bed, asleep. Bruce was covered bubbles as I styled his hair to a Mohawk, then part it all to one side, then switch it up again.
Reaching for the shower head, I was about to turn it on to wash the suds off him when somebody spoke up from behind me, scaring the daylights out of me.
âWow.â He spoke.
I squeezed the shower head in surprise making it slip up from my hand and hit my chin. âOw.â
âIf this is how you look like bathing your dogs, you should inform me every time you do so.â Blake was smirking at me.
I looked down on myself with one hand rubbing on my chin in an attempt to soothe the throbbing. I was only in a loose shirt and in my underwear. The blush caught up on my cheeks in embarrassment as I hurled the empty dog shampoo at him which he dodged.
âGo away Blake!â I yelled. âHow did you even get in? I swear I locked the door to both my house and bedroom.â
âYou gave me a copy of your house key.â He answered as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
âThat doesnât explain how you got in my bedroom and in my bathroom.â I narrowed my eyes at him.
He smiled at me sheepishly. âI used my driverâs license to unlock it.â
âWhereâd you learn to do that?â I started. âYou know what? I donât want to know as of the moment. I want you to leave the bathroom right now and close the door. Please.â
âNow why would I do that? Iâm loving what Iâm seeing.â He teased.
âBlake!â
Four hours ago:
I was ready to curl up and sleep when Skittles had brought something over.
âWhat do you have there, boy?â I asked, sitting up to inspect what he had brought. âA sacrifice to the gods?â
He released the item on my lap before curling on my pillow.
With my index finger and thumb, I picked up the item. It was a brown leather jacket. Odd. It wasnât mine for sure because I did not own menâs jacket.
It clicked.
It was Blakeâs, duh.
He probably left it on Sunday when I invited him over which lead him to stay the night because we both fell asleep on my bed beside Bruce and Skittles.
Iâll return it soon. I was too lazy to leave my bed.
Apparently, Skittles had other plans for me. It was either he wanted me out of the house or he wanted me out of the house. He was unsatisfied with me setting the jacket aside so he stood up, took the clothing in his mouth and dropped it on my face.
It smelled like Blakeâs cologne instantly making me remember him and our odd first date. I had to shampoo and to condition my hair twice the next day to rid of the dried up lake water in my hair.
I decided not to remove his jacket off my face and just to continue inhaling his scent. Skittles started nudging me with his nose on my face, as if to tell me to get my ass off my bed and return the jacket to Blake so that he could take up my entire king size bed.
I followed orders from a dog. A dog.
Well he really didnât say that since dogs canât talk, but we all know what he meant.
And I used that as an excuse to go and see Blake, though I really need one since he was my boyfriend.
I pulled off the shirt that smelled like my dogâs shampoo and shrugged on a shirt and pulled on some pants after removing my pajamas.
I was on his porch now, his jacket on my hand, waiting for someone to answer the door. I heard some voices inside, someone squealing and the other laughing. A few seconds later the door opened revealing Blake in aâ¦. in aâ¦.
What on earth is he supposed to be?
He was wearing a pair of wings and a multicolored tutu skirt with a matching magic wand in his hand. My jaw dropped at the sight of him. I wasnât sure on what to do.
âBethany!â he seemed as equally surprised as me but Iâm pretty sure we were on different levels. âWhatâre are you doing here?â
âWhat are you doing?â I asked in response. My natural reaction had to play catch up a bit as I burst out laughing at him.
âDaddy the evil weetch is kidnapping my bears!â Allie appeared by his side and clung on to her fatherâs leg. âSheâs killing them- Beth!â
âHello Allie.â I smiled at her, trying to contain my laughter in.
âThe weetch is inside!â she said, pointing to the living room where numerous stuffed toys were scattered. âHelp us!â
I swear I saw Blakeâs face light up in total evil. âThatâs a terrific idea Allie!â
âCome on!â Allie jumped as she took my hand dragged me in the house.
Before we could move forward, Blake stopped us. âAllie, Bethany canât help us if sheâs not in her costume.â
âBethany?â Allie stopped jumping and looked at her father confused. âWhoâs Bethany?â
âBeth is short for Bethany.â I answered her.
She nodded. âYou should wear this so that the evil weetch canât hurt you. Itâs protection.â
In her hand was a pink tutu and she was handing it to me.
âAnd she must wear this too, right Allie?â Blake smirked, raising up a plastic crown with a pink feather trim.
âYes!â Allie jumped up and down. âHurry! The weetch is killing the bears!â
âOh no!â Blake hauled up little Allie on his shoulder and dashed through the living room leaving me behind. âHurry up Bethany or the witch is going to get you next!â
Letting out a huge breath, I started running towards where they were, standing on the couch.
âShe almost got you!â Allie cried and held my hand. âDonât worry. I will protect you.â
âBut whoâs going to protect you?â I asked and held on to her.
âDaddy will.â She responded with a huge smile. âLetâs go!â
We jumped off the couch and she led us to the stairs where numerous Barbie dolls were scattered.
âGet in here Allie.â Blake told his daughter, gesturing to the large army toy car on the bottom of the staircase. She hopped in the car and Blake immediately pushed her around the house. âSheâs catching up to us Allie! What do we do now?â
I was running beside Blake, a smile that I couldnât help on my face seeing Blake with Allie and how much he adored her.
âIs it safe outside?â I asked Allie and her face lights up instantly.
âYes!â She jumped on her seat. âLetâs go out!â
Blake sent me a wicked grin, grabbing my hand as he pushed the car outside. It wasnât sunny outside but it wasnât about to rain too. I like that kind of weather.
âSheâs catching up!â Allie cried out, flinging her wand all over the place. âNo!â
Quickly, I closed the door of the house. âThere, sheâs locked inside!â
Horror struck Allieâs face. âNo! Mr. Fluffypants is inside!â
âMr. what?â I echoed.
âFluffypants.â Blake stated firmly. âIt originally had fluffy pants before she ripped it out when she was two.â
âShould I get her Allie?â
She shook her head in reply. âDonut! The weetch is inside!â
âDonut?â I asked confused. âYou have donuts in your kitch- Holy schnitzels! Itâs cold!â
The sprinkler which I didnât know was there, were turned on. And the water was cold. Allie had ran away before she could get wet. I started sprinting away from the sprinkler and when I thought I was safe under a tree, another one which was beside me started spraying water.
âWhy are your sprinklers out to get me?!â I screamed at no one in particular as I darted to a safe place.
I could hear Blake laughing. I turned around to find him and when I did, I saw he was by the water valve, completely dry. So he was the one who turned everything on. That bastard.
âBlake!â I shrieked and ran for him.
That my dear friends is how I ended up in his kitchen ten minutes later soaked in a pink tutu and a plastic crown.
âI should stay away from you.â I muttered, rubbing my arms for warmth.
We had tired Allie out and now she was fast asleep in her room. I thought kids had unlimited energy. Guess I thought wrong.
âAnd why is that so?â Blake asked with a smirk, handing me a towel to dry off. âWhat did I do wrong?â
âEvery time Iâm near you I get wet!â I exclaimed causing Blake to double over in laughter. When I heard my own words, my eyes widened and my face heated up.
âI didnât know I had that much of an effect to you Bethany.â He laughed, wiping the tears away from his eyes. âIâll try my best to stay away and try your best to stay dry unless needed to.â
âBlake!â I cried. âThatâs not what I meant!â
âSo much innuendos Bethany.â He shook his index finger at me. âKeep this going and Iâll think youâd want to get in my pantsâ
âBlake!â I squirmed at the current embarrassment Blake was holding me hostage in. âThatâs not what I meant!â
âDonât worry my Bethany.â He smirked. âWeâll get to that part later.â
