âWhat is happening here?â I asked one of the soldiers in front of the schoolâs gate.
He looked at me like he was analysing me and then answered âThatâs classified information. Are you one of the teachers?â
I nodded âCan I at least know-â
The soldier interrupted me âI canât tell you anything and Itâs better if you stay away from this zone. We donât what may happen.â
A girlâs scream coming from the school interrupted him and after hearing that, my body started moving on its own and tried to surpass the gate, another soldier stopped me with a hand on my shoulder.
âWhat are trying to do? This area is off limits-â
I looked at him, I felt feeling like I could sense his blood circulating in his body and started controlling it, as I did this his hand slowly got off of me and I surpassed the gate. Another soldier tried to stop me but the one I was controlling hit him in the face with the back of his rifle; while I was running towards the entrance of the school I could hear the soldiers arguing and took advantage of that moment to go inside, where the situations were even worse than outside. It was full of frozen students and as I tried to gently touch one of them, it shattered immediately. I immediately looked away and thought âI have to find the culpritâ¦â I closed my eyes and concentrated, I was trying to sense the enemyâs aura and shortly after I found it, the person was on the third floor butâ¦
âA black aura.â I thought.
Nysilia explained to me that this happens when a person canât control his powers because they didnât do any training, becomes unstable and when in this state, they are unpredictable and far too dangerous.
âNysilia isnât with meâ¦I have to fight alone this time.â I continued thinking while I walked up the stairs, the first floor was in the same state as the ground floor and I tried to not touch any of the students.
The ice was clear and you could see their terrorized faces while some were trying to run away, others were on the ground, scared for their lives and some other was staying still because of the fear.
âMaybe if I stop however did it the ice will meltâ¦â
As I went to the second floor I started feeling tremendous pressure coming from the third one, my heart started beating faster and I thought
âThis will be my first time fighting aloneâ¦I have to kill that-â With that last sentence my heart sank again, I was only now considering that the culprit could be a student and the idea of killing one had me feeling bad, meanwhile I continued going up with the floors while I tried to think of something, a better way to stop all of thisâ¦but when I reached the third floor, every thought stopped.
In the middle of that corridor, Misato(First name of Ahuja-San) was there, surrounded by a black aura and keeping one of the remaining students by the neck
âP-Pleaseâ¦Donâtâ¦â the students tried to say in tears âI wonât bother you anymoreâ¦please..!â she was one of the bullies that bothered Misato and behind her, there were the others. Misato's eyes were open wide and bloody, with a smile forming when she started slowly freezing the studentâs body.
âStop Misato!â I shouted and she quickly looked in my direction with her smile quickly fading âTeacherâ¦?â she was looking at me with the gaze of someone who knew was guilty.
âWhy are you here?â
âIâm here to stop you. You were the kindest student in your class, and everyone loved you, apart from those bulliesâ¦did they bother you again?â
She shook her head vigorously âNoâ¦I donât know why Iâm doing this eitherâ¦A voice simply told me to do itâ¦to get my revengeâ¦to consume my enemiesâ¦â she said as she slowly tightened her grip around the girl's neck and the aura around Misatoâs body was thick, pullulating with a malicious power.
âListen, everything will be ok if you listen to me. I know someone who has a solution to your problem!â
âR-Really..?â she looked at me and her gaze became enlightened by hope.
âYes, there is still hope. Now, leave the girl alone and come near me.â I said calmly and she followed my directions, leaving the girl and slowly coming towards me, as she did that I smiled to reassure her more that everything will be all right.
But the truth came up to me as something Nysilia told me some days ago:
âMh? The guy I killed the other day looked sorry, you say? And so what? He had a black aura. There is no cure for that.â
No cure.
No cure.
Misato was close to me and I knew what to do and without noticing my smile faded away.
âWhy did you stop smiling?â she asked worried, now that she was close enough I could see her eyes, there was just a tiny bit of light of hope and that broke my heart. I hugged her, like she was a little sister and said âIâm sorryâ, shortly after I took control of her blood and crushed her brain and heart, in a quick and, hopefully, painless way and gently put her body on the ground. Her eyes were
The few students remaining were there looking at me, scared, they understood what happened but not how and now they didnât want the same to happen to them. At first, I didnât even think about it but other thoughts slowly were emerging together.
âWhy did you kill her?â
âWere there no other solutions?â
âShe was just scared, you could have helped her in one way or another.â

My thoughts were interrupted suddenly by a voice from behind yelling âYOU! TURN AROUND SLOWLY!â
It was the voice of the soldier I controlled before, he can move now because I can control just one body at a time. I turned around, six soldiers surrounded me while two went to the students and one checked Misatoâs body, just to say shortly after that she was dead and students behind yelled
âIt was him! Heâs a monster just like Misato!â
I remained silent, while the remaining soldier joined the others in surrounding me and now a total of 9 of them were keeping their rifles pointed at me, plus a little red light flashed into my eye for a brief second, that came from a window
âMonster huh?â I thought and started remembering another thing that the demon said to me. It was the first time I met her.
âYou are the worst human to ever exist!â
Suddenly, one of the soldiers ordered âPut your hand behind your head now!â
I continued to remain silent while slowly raising my hands and closing my eyes
âI canât use this power to save anyone. I canât be a hero. I canât change the fact I was and still am a monster. Iâmâ¦tired.â
I started to concentrate on one of the closest soldiers to the window and controlled his blood to move it out of his body through the mouth and it splattered all over the window, meanwhile, the body fell on the ground and the other soldiers could only watch as the same thing happened to another one and another window was covered, to finish the same thing happened to a third soldier and it stopped there.
The students were screaming at that scene and the six remaining soldiers were looking at my calm face, probably they didnât want to believe what just happened or how I could have done it.
The soldier I controlled before simply couldnât keep his cool and shot at me every munition he had in the mag while yelling I had to die. Fortunately, in that state, his aim was terrible but I still felt a tickle for every bullet I took in my body, that made me realise how my body changed and now it was from a human. The soldier looked at me scared as the holes caused by the projectile slowly closed and bulges were forming and moving towards my left hand, I could feel every bullet travelling in my body while I slowly moved closer to the soldier. The others were far too scared to do something.
I put my left hand, full of projectiles, on his helmet and shot at a high speed by using my blood as a boost and the soldierâs head was scattered in pieces on the ground. I looked at another soldier, as I went towards him he started screaming for help and I quickly shut him off with one hand on his mouth and the other went through his chest. His skin slowly became pale, I grabbed something and when I removed my hand, I had my grip tight on a katana made from his blood, right after this I looked at the 4 soldiers and the 3 students remaining.
â7â I said and from one of the studentâs mouth blood came out and covered the closest window, his body fell to the ground.
â6â¦Time to end this.â Hearing that, one of the soldiers took courage and ordered the others to shoot at me. Before they could do that, I ran at him, faster than his eye could perceive and cut his head in half vertically, then I ran to the students, took one for the hair and threw her at 2 soldiers before they could shoot. While those 2 soldiers were on the ground, the only one standing up tried to shoot me but I used the other student as a shield, quickly went towards the soldier and passed the katana through the studentâs body to pierce the soldier in the chest.
After that, I immediately left the studentâs corpse and went towards the remaining two soldiers who were getting up; as soon as I was close, one of them tried to punch but I quickly went down to dodge it and cut both of his legs, when on the ground, I crushed his balls under my feet, this was unnecessary but hearing him screaming wasâ¦a good feeling. After this moment, I cut the soldierâs head and sliced both the last soldier and student in half vertically before they could escape.
âFinallyâ¦â My heart was racing and ecstasy was running through my body, I never felt like that before. I put a hand on the ground and blood from the corpses flew towards it and I absorbed it through the pores of the skin. When I got up, not even a moment to relax, a projectile smashed the window and hit me in the head, which made me almost fall. I quickly removed the bullet and looked outside, I saw the red light again and before another bullet could be shot I quickly wrapped my aura around my arm and the bullet and threw it in the light direction. After that, the light disappeared but from the window, I saw other soldiers coming closer to the schoolâs gate.
âShit.â I turned around to go towards the stairs but I remained still when I saw Nysilia.
âWhen did she appear?â I asked myself but I moved aside the question âIt doesnât matter I have other things to ask herâ¦and she can read my thoughts.â
âExactly.â Nysilia answered with a little smile, then looked around âI see you had fun here.â
âIt doesnât matter now, where have you been?â I asked.
âA place, nothing important. I think you should care more about this shitty situation you are in-â
I interrupted her. âOk. As usual, you donât want to answer a questionâ¦then tell me, this one thing. Why should I listen to you?â
âAre you pissed off?â she asked instead with such a calm, it was annoying.
âHow can you tell?â I said sarcastically.
She remained silent for a moment. âI would say, the painful training you had, plus this situation are the reason you are like this.â
âAnswer. Me.â I said in a way it almost seemed an order.
âBecause you have to. We made pact.â
âFuck that pact! Give me an actual reason for this one time!â I shouted. It was the first time I felt like that. I just wanted to know.
But this time, she remained silent and didnât say anything
âAs I thought.â I said while looking through the window. The soldiers were grouping up right in front of the entrance. I walked past Nysilia, intent to go there and kill all of them
âYouâll go down there to kill them all, then what?â
â...I accepted the fact Iâm a monster. Iâll behave like that until Iâll be killed.â Said that I continued walking, going closer to the stairs and-
âNylicts donât exist.â
I stopped immediately at that phrase. âWhat did you just said?â
âThey donât exist. I just invented everything.â
â...why?â I didnât turn around.
âIt was a way to convince you to accept that pact-â
âWhy should I believe you?â
âItâs not like you have many options. You can either go down, start behaving like a beast and destroy everything on your way before someone will eventually stopâ¦and that someone could be me.â
I turned around to check her expression and it was clear she wasnât just joking around. She was already in front of me, I couldnât hear her footsteps at all, and the seriousness in her eyes was concerning to me, she seemed ready to attack immediately.â
âOr you can come with me and actually do something to find the truth about everything, even the reason why I canât tell you every single thing I know. The truth will come sooner than you expectâ After saying that, a red portal appeared at her side.
I thought for a moment and then looked her in the eyes
âPromise me you wonât lie againâ
She simply nodded.
âI want to hear it.â I said.
She sighed âWhat a child you areâ¦I promise I wonât lie to you again.â
While going through the red portal I gave her a doubtful side-eye and shortly after, she followed me.
When we appeared at my house I asked her âDid you feel that too?â
âYes, someone was watching us.â Nysilia said.
âDo you know who?â I asked.
âOur targetâ
