Natalie was stunned by his words.

She kept her eyes glued to him for a moment as if she wanted to see right through him.

Samuel couldn’t tell that I was lying, and he, a person who dislikes heavy-flavored food, had almost no reaction when he ate the pickled fish. There’s only one possibility... He has lost his sense of taste. He can’t taste anything at all!
