Chapter 21: Chapter 19 | 🍒

The Baby Sitter | MinsungWords: 8914

Sunday

Seeing as their shopping trip was finished sooner than expected, and the later buses home wouldn't be around until well after 6, the three boys chose to take the road back home on foot. For one thing Heijin and Heihyun wanted to show off their brand new outfits to the people passing by, plus Jisung really did not want to carry the pair while standing again.

With Heijin skipping on ahead, nattering on about one thing or another, the blond lagged behind with Heihyun gripping his hand. The young brunette was forever staring down at his clothes, immersed in touching the cosy fabric of the crimson sweater.

"Are you happy with your outfit, Hyun?" Jisung asked, noticing how the younger wasn't paying enough attention to the pavement. Heihyun nodded while still looking at his feet, making the blond chuckle as he was clearly enthralled.

Walking home was a lengthy task but it was pleasant, as well as helping the group work up an appetite for dinner. "So," Jisung addressed the two, "who's ready for dinner?"

"Me me!" Heijin hopped about on the steps outside his front door as the older slipped the key into the lock. Letting themselves, Heijin and Heihyun went to collapse on the sofa. Meanwhile Jisung took himself into the kitchen to begin preparing dinner. In the middle of collecting the ingredients to make whatever would first come to mind, the blond paused. I should make some for Minho too.. even if he's late we can always reheat it.

The meal took a fair time to cook, and so Jisung found Heijin and Heihyun talking to one another and asked them if they would help him set up the dinner table. "Should we put a space for dad?" Heihyun questioned, following the others out of the living room.

"Yep," the blond responded as he went back to the stove, "I don't know what time he'll be back but it wouldn't hurt to set up a place for him." With the kids working behind him Jisung was able to complete the dinner, and sat them down as he served it up.

At that moment, there was a loud blade of noise from the front door. Getting up from the seats that they'd only just taken to, Heijin, Heihyun and Jisung too all ran down the hallway to greet Minho. The older looked exhausted but overjoyed, a giant grin plastered across his face.

"Dad! You're home!" Heijin leapt into his dad's arms, the brunette twirling him around. Heihyun came and pulled at Minho's coat, so the older lifted him from the ground and hugged him as well. From afar Jisung watched the interaction, his heart warming at the family's group hug.

Minho must've seen the younger staring at them, because he looked up with sparkling eyes. Placing the boys back on the floor, the brunette's bright smile returned as he held his arms open for Jisung to hug him. Of course the younger hurried to him just as the kids had done, burying his face into Minho's neck.

"I did it Sungie!"

"Did what?"

"The restraining order, against

Sunhee. She won't be able to come

near us for the next 4 years."

Pulling himself back Jisung's eyes grew in surprise, meeting the older's which were close to overflowing with tears. He was so beyond ecstatic that he suddenly hoisted the blond up and whirled him round, laughing as Jisung yelped and cling to his coat. From below Heijin and Heihyun giggled too. "Dad! Sungie made us dinner!"

"Has he?" Minho replied while still focusing on the boy in his arms, holding himself back from kissing Jisung's blushing cheeks. Nodding the blond leg himself down, gathering everyone into the kitchen so that the food would be eaten hot.

Sitting down, the family began to eat, but not before Minho got their attention. "I have some exciting news!" Everyone turned to gaze at the brunette, hanging onto his words. It was undoubtedly very exciting news; the beam on his face gave it away. "I got the money back that Sunhee owed me as child support, so I have more than enough to send you to school!"

Both kids looked as though they'd just been offered something nonexistent. They looked at one another and back again at their dad, an expression of disbelief emerging on their faces. Shockingly it was Heihyun who gave a squeal of joy, grabbing his brother's shoulders and shaking him back and forth. "Jinnie! We're going to go school!! A real school!"

Heijin was still stunned, his eyes opened so wide and glowing with awe. "We, we are gonna go to school?" Minho nodded as he couldn't contain his cheerfulness. The confirmation set the charcoal haired boy off as well, and soon the two kids were bouncing off the walls of the kitchen in elation.

Jisung could see just how wonderful this news truly was. Finally the boys would receive a proper education, and could go on to prove their intelligence and creativity in school. Although it did feel rather bittersweet, since Jisung would no longer be required as their babysitter, the pros outweighed the cons of that by miles.

~~~
Traditionally the time had arrived for Heihyun and Heijin to go to bed. This task was made much more difficult than usual as the two were giddy about the idea of attending school after the summer, and barely sat still while Minho tucked them in.
Once they were sound asleep however, the brunette was free to join Jisung on the sofa. The pair cuddled up to one another like it was second nature, basking in the peacefulness of the evening. That serenity didn't last long however, as Minho quickly sat up and playfully slapped the younger across the back of the head.
"Owh! What was that for!?"
"For spending your money on the kids!
You're saving up aren't you?"
"Yeah but, I wanted to treat them! They
were so happy with the clothes they
picked out too."
"How much did it cost?"
"No, MinMin, you will not pay me back."
The older rolled his eyes, a smirk dancing on his pretty lips. Jisung could stare at those lips all day long, and if not that then just kiss them. As he did he saw Minho form a frown, and so looked up at his eyes. "That reminds me!" Stepping up, the brunette left the room, to Jisung's confusion, but returned again not a moment later with two envelopes in his hands.
Taking his space back in the sofa, Minho held out one of the two envelopes first. "What's this then?" The blond quirked an eyebrow, opening the letter since Minho was merely staring at him eagerly rather than answering his question. Disclosed inside was a sum of money, tallying up Jisung's payment for being the kids' babysitter.
"Wait," the older said before Jisung could thank him, "that's not all." Bringing back out the second envelope Minho this time properly enclosed the younger's fingers around it, acting as if it was the most fragile thing.
"Okay so, what's this one?"
"Open it."
Doing as he was told Jisung flicked open the top, mind whirring with a million possibilities to what this could be. Taking out what was inside, the blond read over the text. And then he read it again. And again. And again and again and again trying to fully process what it all was saying. It was a cheque for.. "15,000,000 won!?"
It didn't make sense, why was Minho giving such a vast amount of cash to Jisung? The younger searched Minho's face for more answers, and eventually he decided to reveal.
"It's for your university, I think there is enough there for you to easily attend." What could Jisung say in response to that? Overcome with a whirlwind of emotions the blond broke into tears, sobbing out as he stared at the cheque.
Quick to cup the small boys face, Minho brought his own closer, resting their foreheads together as he let Jisung cry out in gratitude. "Gosh don't cry baby, you deserve it." Minho then stopped to get the younger to open his eyes. "Besides, you can only have it under one condition."
"And what's, what's that?" Jisung blubbered, still not over the gift and how thankful he was. Tugged on his hands that were grasping the cheque, Minho pulled the blond up and onto his lips to kiss him. Snapping out of his crying at once the younger responding, blinded by that craving feeling of the brunette's lips that he'd wished to taste again.
Not stopping until Jisung had ceased to shed any more tears, Minho dropped his and the younger's hands back down to their knees, where they lay intertwined with one another's. Uniting them.
"What, what was the.. condition
MinMin?"
"That you become mine Sungie, and I
become yours. Forever and always."
