Jake POV:
Kate and I swam for sometime and played games in the water. It wasn't that bad. I felt like I was playing with my own sister,Jessica. All I had to do was to touch her in the right places and be careful not to hurt her. That was the same thing I did with Kate. I am currently drying myself up and Kate is slipping into her clothes.
"I had so much fun" Kate says with a small smile and I return it. In case Nikki doesn't come back for me, she is my only hope to get out of here.
"It's almost sunset! Gotta go" She says and pecks my cheek before leaving. I sigh and ruffle my hair.
"I can see you had fun" I hear Tigress say and I don't even turn to look at her. She giggles and walks towards me. She stops right in front of me with her eyes raking down my body like a scanner.
"I never knew you were so hot!" She compliments
"No wonder Nikki and Kate are obviously drooling over you"
"Thanks for the compliment" I reply in a sassy tone and leave.
"Navy looks good on you" she hollers after me and laughs wildly.
Damian also said the same thing earlier. I'm not going to wear navy again. Should I wear it? Well Nikki loves navy and black so maybe I'll consider wearing it.
I slipped on the clothes Damian gave me and headed for his bedroom. As soon as I enter, he greets me with a huge grin. His laptop is still in front of him and it has a picture of the poolside on it. He was spying on Kate and I.
"I am proud of you! You really made someone's day" he teases and I chuckle.
"And I guess you also enjoyed too?" Damian says raising an eyebrow at me.
"Well, I will say its better than being chained in a cell that smells like rusted metal" I scoff and he chuckles
"Actually, you wouldn't sleep there anymore!"
"Great! Maybe I'll be heading to the sewers now" I state and Damian laughs.
"No no....." He trails off holding his tummy as he continues to laugh wildly. He coughs and clears his throat before speaking.
"On the contrary, you are going to have your own bedroom"
I huff. "I thought you were about to say I'm free to go back to my apartment"
Damian sniggers.
"Remember you are still a prisoner! Tigress doesn't give her prisoners bedrooms! They sleep in that cell that smells like rusted metal as you claim! So consider yourself lucky"
"What made her change her mind? What made her decide to give me a bedroom?"
"Maybe Kate told her or I think she has a crush on you already" he says with a chuckle and my heart leaps.
"Bad joke Damian!" I scold and try to erase the thought of Tigress falling in love with me.
"I just saw it bro! The way she looked at you, it was different! She was drawn to you"
"Now you sound creepy Damian! Do you want me to have a heart attack?"
Damian laughs at my outburst.
"After that look, she decided to give you a bedroom! Funny right? Just stick the pieces together! She is starting to like you! I know what I'm talking about"
"Enough Damian! I don't care if she falls in love with me! My heart belongs to someone else"
"Ooh! Can I know this special someone?" Damian asks with a slight snigger.
"The girl who called you a body guard"
Damian laughs.
"Nicole?" He asks through laughs
"Yes" I confirm.
"I'll admit she is gorgeous!"
I smile.
"So she is the reason why you do not want to give Kate a chance?"
"Yes! I cannot live without her! I miss her already"
"Awwwm" Damian coos.
"What about you Damian? Do you have a girlfriend?"
"No" he replies frowning slightly. I was about to ask why but he read my thoughts and answered.
"I don't have one because of my revenge plan! I need concentration"
"So after your revenge, would you get one?"
"I don't know! I'm not a romantic guy" Damian says and I chuckle a bit.
"Damian! You are a good looking guy! Any girl would fall for you! All you need is a few touches here and there! And you need to stop being rigid all the time"
Damian smiles.
"Thanks" he says.
Talking about girls has got me thinking about Nikki again. She has got me perturbed! Will she come back? I push it to the back of my mind and look at Damian who was typing on his laptop.
"You didn't tell me how your parents died" I remind him and he instantly stops typing with his eyes on the computer screen for hours before he faces me with tears evident in his eyes. I regret asking him but I want to hear his story.
"I....I can't tell you" Damian says and sniffs.
"I understand but what are you planning to do to your boss?"
"The same thing he did to my parents"
I just nod and drop the subject. He would do anything to get back at his boss for murdering his parents. I pick up a magazine from a nearby table and just look through it to let the time pass.
"Why didn't you report him to the police?" I ask
"Its a long story! It all started from when he killed my parents"
I remain quiet and continue to look through the magazine.
Later, I heard my name and I think Damian called me. His laptop was blank now and he was looking straight at me.
"What is it Damian?"
He hesitates before saying," Let's go to your bedroom"
I believe he wanted to tell me something else but he dropped it.
"Okay" I say with a shrug and follow him out of the room.
We take another flight of wooden stairs to another floor. This floor had a gym, a spa and a movie theatre. Wow! This house is really competing with my father's house! How much did Tigress buy it?
"This is your room" Damian says and opens the door for me. It was a simple but nice room with a king sized bed, a desk, a cabinet and a small door that led to the bathroom.
"Not bad" I tell him "but I still want my apartment"
He chuckles.
"How many rooms are in this house?"
"Six I think" he replies ruffling his hair a bit.
"Do you by any chance know how much Tigress bought this house?"
"No"
I sit in a couch in the room and just look out of the window watching the snow.
"Damian! I know you want to tell me something! Go on! Just tell me"
He sighs and paces back and forth in the room before stopping.
"Can I trust you? I haven't really shared this with anyone before" He says
"Sure!"
"Myâ" he gets cut off by Tigress appearing at the doorway and I roll my eyes.
"I can see you've already settled in your new room! How do you find it?" Tigress mocks and I just give her a fake smile.
"It's okay! But I like my apartment better than this hell hole"
She laughs wildly.
"I can see you have a great sense of humour" Tigress compliments and I see Damian wink at me from behind her.
"I'm just being plain!" I scoff.
"I saw Nikki" she says and I jolt out of the couch.
"Where is she? What did you do with her?"
"Damian! I really appreciate your service but can you leave us alone?" Tigress spits and I watch him exit the room. My room actually.
"She was brave enough to escape with my car! But she wouldn't get away with it! We are going to track her down"
"Do not lay your filthy finger on her!" I threaten grabbing her neck and she laughs.
"Are you going to kill me?"
I tighten my grasp around her neck and she chokes.
"Damian! Damian!!" She calls weakly and he enters stopping me from squeezing the life out of her.
"You will pay for this! I don't care if Kate intercedes on your behalf"
Tigress gives me one last glare before departing my room.
"Were you trying to murder her?" Damian asks and I nod
"I really wanted to squeeze that life out of her"
"If you did, the boss wouldn't have spared you"
"I need to get out of here! Damian! Let's leave!"
"I can't! Have you forgotten I have a revenge pending?"
I sigh and run my hand down my face.
"Just leave it and let's go"
"It matters to me! I swore on my parents grave that I would make sure that man doesn't rest until I see him dead"
"You can go Jake! I'll just tell Tigress you escaped"
"I'm not leaving without you"
He flashes me a small smile and sits the stool in front of a masculine dresser.
"You were about to tell me something before Tigress came in to interrupt"
Waiting for him wouldn't be so bad! Besides, today is 18th December and I have four days more to 22nd. The day of the trip.
"I have a dark past Jake! It was bright at the beginning but the monster ruined it"
I shift in my seat and listen to him intently.
"I'm not Damian! That is not the name my parents gave me" he says and that was the first bombshell he threw.
"Okay? So what is your real name? And why did you change it to Damian?"
He sighs and he closes his eyes in deep thoughts. Then he opens them and tears run down his cheeks.
"My ....real name, the name my parents gave me is...." He pauses as his voice breaks and wipes the tears on his cheeks. He looks broken. I thought he was a tough guy but he has a soft spot. A spot that is delicate to touch! A spot that has haunted him all his life! It's a scar in his heart that cannot be removed.
"Breathe in D...." I stop about to call him Damian again. He smiles and obliges.
"Okay so tell me your real name"
"My real name is Harry Wilson but you can still call me Damian"
"Oh" I say about to ask him why he changed it but then he continued.
"I changed it because I didn't want the boss to recognize me! Apart from that, I changed a lot of things about myself"
"What things did you change about yourself apart from your name?" I ask curious to know.
"They are not a lot! Just a few. I got a new haircut and dyed my brown hair raven black. Then I got a few tattoos! That's all"
"And the boss didn't recognize you?"
"No he didn't" Damian err I mean Harry says proudly. It's gonna take a lot of time to get used to his old name.
"So did you have siblings?" I ask Harry(Damian)
"Two brothers but he killed them"
"How?"
"They were twins in my mother's womb" he clarifies and I'm horrified.
"I'm so sorry"
"He tried to brainwash me so that I would go mad and will never report him to the police and he succeeded! He partnered with one of his psychiatrists and they gave me shocks in the brain and all manner of drugs to take so that I'll go nuts"
"So you went nuts?" I ask chuckling a bit at my statement.
"For a while! He left me on the streets"
"I wonder why he never tried to kill you" I state and Harry (Damian) smiles.
"That's because he was the number one suspect in the murder of my parents and so he was afraid to do something that would expose him as the culprit"
"So how did you end up in his quarters?"
"After receiving treatment from the psychiatric hospital for 5 years, I began having nightmares and they were all based on him killing my parents. I regained my memory and then IÂ decided to take revenge. And that's when everything started!"
"Your story is really devastating" I tell him honestly.
Damian sniffs.
"I'm close to taking revenge on him even though it is risky but I don't care if I go to jail for murdering him"
"But what if he finds out you are Harry Wilson and he decides to kill you first?"
Damian snickers
"I've got it all covered. He would never know"
"But what if he finds out? What would you do?"
"I'll kill him before he kills me"
I laugh. This guy is really strong willed. I want to meet this boss already.
"I have an advantage you know? Because I am his most trusted spy, I know all his weaknesses and strengths"
"That is good to know" I reply
"So now you know the story and I hope you don't betray me or else you will be the first to die"He threatens and I smile
" I'm not that kind of person"
He sighs. "I'll tell you how my parents died when I have the strength to do so"
I nod in agreement.
"You said your dad was competing with your boss. In terms of what?"
"In terms of business" He says with a small smile.
"What business?"
"This business" he says and my jaw nearly hits the floor. His dad was also a drug dealer?
"My dad was a drug smuggler too" Harry ( or Damian)admits.
My mouth still hangs open.
"That is why I'm not afraid of being arrested or stuff like that! I know the dangers and I'll find a way to escape." He says proudly.
"Your mother supported it too?" I ask astonished
"She was always against it but my dad never listened! And its his fault she died! She got her into the hands of that beast and it was so gory! The memory still hovers in my brain and I can't stop having nightmares"
He gets up and walks back and forth ruffling his hair. I just look on with sympathy.
"I lost my twin brothers that night" he says with tears running down his cheeks and his voice breaks frequently.
"He took everything away from me! All my happiness"Harry says wiping his tears.
" Be strong bro"I tell him and walk towards him. I hug him and pat his back. Losing your parents can be really painful.
"Thanks Jake" he says as we break apart.
"Thanks for listening"
"It's okay! I'm here for you"
He smiles in appreciation.
"Damian!!!" I hear Tigress call on top of her voice. Harry rolls his eyes and looks at me. I just chuckle.
"Duty calls" he says simply with a shrug.
"Why do you allow her to command you all the time?"
"I just feel pity for her. That's why"
I chuckle.
"See you tomorrow morning!" He says and exits my room.
Thinking about it, Harry who is now Damian has gone through a lot in his past. If only he could turn back time and change everything but that is impossible. The only thing he can do to change something is to take revenge and kill the beast himself!
