Nicole POV
Jake ruffles his hair as I follow him into the hall. Its clean as usual. How could he be so clean all the time? I sit in a couch and face him
"Are you hungry? Do you want something to eat?" Jake asks me
"No! I'm full" I tell him and he smiles back.
"Okay" he replies and stands right in front of me.
"So what do we do now?"I ask him taking in ragged breaths. He standing close to me has got my heart beating so fast as if I have just ran a marathon. I could feel his body heat exude off him with his cologne which smells like rose petals and mint in a way.
" I have something to tell you"he says and I scrunch my eyebrows in confusion. He squats and rests his arms on my thighs making my breathing accelerate.
"What?"I ask wondering at the same time battling with my raging hormones.
" Christmas would be here soon and my dad and I have decided to go to England. "He tells me with a small smile and my eyes grow wide.
" Really?"I ask
"Yes. We would be going with my stepmother and stepbrothers. I can't wait to see Jessica and mom again"he says whiles drawing lazy circles on my left thigh making my skin tingle and IÂ gulp. He notices this and smirks. Jerk!
"How would your mom take it if she finds out your dad married another woman?" I ask him and he sighs.
"I don't really know! But am sure my dad will explain everything to her"
"I hope so too! But you guys are going to become one big family again"
He nods with a charming smile.
"Yes! And I want to invite you! Would your parents agree?"
I am appalled. Jake wants me to come with him?
"You want me to come with you?"
He grins meaning yes
"I thought you wanted to meet my mom and Jessica soon"
"Yes I know but its surprising. But I would love to go" I say
"What about your parents?"
"I'm sure they'll agree."
"Well then! I'll take that as a yes"
Jake pecks my cheek and I'm so overjoyed.
"What happened to your knee?" Jake says pointing to the scar on my knee. The one I obtained when Alec and I were running away from the brown bear. Shit! I should have worn leggings instead.
"Errr..." I trail off. I can't lie to him again or else he will go mad.
"Alec and I went to a forest and we got chased by a bear. Whiles running, I fell and got this injury. Alec treated it for me" I say and Jake's expression darkens.
"My good old brother treated it for you? So romantic!" Jake taunts
"Anyways, enough with Alec okay?" I scold
Jake chuckles
"He is a nice guy but you were too busy hating him that's why you couldn't notice it"
"I hated him because I thought he took you away from me"
I giggle.
"You are so pathetic" I tease him and poke his cheek.
"I promise to reconcile with him later. I know my dad will be really proud."
"Yeah of course" I tell him. He gets up and sits beside me.
His phone rings.
"Who is it?" I ask whiles he looks at the caller ID
"Kate" he snorts in a bored tone
"Don't pick up" I tell him
"Do I look like I'm gonna pick up?" He taunts and I giggle.
The phone stops ringing and I smile satisfied. Then it begins to ring again and Jake groans.
"Hello" he said lowly into the phone
Why should she call this moment?
"What? You are here?" Jake blurts and my heart jumps into my throat.
"Okay. I'll be at the door" Jake says and hangs up.
"Kate is here" Jake whispers to me and I become bug eyed
"What do we do?" I whisper back panicking.
"Come with me" Jake says and I follow him into his room.
"Stay here until Kate leaves. As soon as she leaves, I will come for you" Jake whispers
I nod and he pecks my forehead before closing the door.
I grunt. That witch always spoils everything. I sit on Jake's bed and it's quite comfy.
"What took you so long?" I hear Kate scold loudly.
"Sorry! I had a couple of things to do" Jake apologises.
"And those things couldn't wait?"
Kate yells
"I had to do them" Jake says with a shrug in his voice. There was a tint of annoyance in it.
I look around Jake's room. It was red and white. His sheets were white and the walls were red. Even the carpet on the floor was red. But his bedroom wasn't as elegant and glamorous like Alec's own. It was simple.
I decide to check his bathroom. The tiles were all white and there was a golden and white medium sized bathtub for two. There was a small sink with a cute faucet on top. There was a cabinet and I bet all the supplies were in there.
I close the bathroom and get back into Jake's room. I see something under his pillow and decide to pull it out. It was a picture of that Helen girl. His first love. She was alone.
Her brown hair was tied in a high ponytail and she is grinning widely showing her deep dimples. Her green irises twinkle. She was the definition of beauty. No wonder Jake loved her. But why does he have her picture under his pillow? Does he still love her? He cannot forget her I think. But he said he loves me! Or is he just saying it? Questions flood my mind and I tuck the picture under the pillow again.
"I heard you helped that bitch find her sister!" Kate yells on top of her voice.
I feel like maybe Jake is playing with all of us. Maybe he still loves Helen.
"Who told you?" Jake retaliates
Is he doing this on purpose? To get back at me? After all, he used Kate to make me jealous! Maybe he is doing this to break my heart at the end. But he looked sincere. I'm so confused and I do not know what to believe anymore! I just have to be careful so that I do not get heart broken in the end if he is doing it to get back at me for what I did.
"Cody! He told me!" Kate yells. Why is she so upset if Jake helped me find Trina.
"Yes its true! Why are you so mad?" Jake yells at her
"Cause she is our enemy! You are not supposed to help her!" Kate spits
"She couldn't find her sister Kate! She was restless! "
"Are you beginning to feel pity for that piece of trash? Have you forgotten what she did to you so soon Jake?"
"I haven't but I will tell you the truth" Jake spits and I hold my breath waiting to hear.
"I love Nicole,Kate! I know it will be painful for you but my heart chooses her"Jake spits and I wish I was there to see Kate's horrid face.
There is silence
" you don't mean it right? I am your girlfriend Jake! Are you trying to end our relationship? "Kate says. Her tone shaky and I stifle a giggle.
" I'm sorry Kate. This relationship cannot work! My heart belongs to Nicole only"Jake tells her and I hear her scream.
"So....so you are breaking up with me Jake? After we have come this far together? No! No!"
"Kate, I know you wouldn't accept this but please believe me"
"I can't believe this! You can't do this to me"
Jake is quiet
"I will just go home! If you recover, call me! I think you are not well" Kate says.
"It's the truth Kate!" Jake says and I hear Kate slam the front door.
Did he really mean all that he said? Maybe. I feel on top. What about Helen? I sigh.
Jake opens the door to his room with a guilty expression on his face.
"Kate is gone"he says
" I know! I heard her slam the front door "
"Did you hear our argument?" Jake asks lazily picking a small red ball on the table.
"Yes I did" I say
He chuckles and bounces the ball on the tiled floor.
"She didn't take it well" he says and slumps on his bed.
"Do you think am awful?" He adds staring at the ceiling with thoughtful expression.
"Sometimes! According to what happened to us like some weeks ago" I tell him and he smirks
"I feel bad breaking up with Kate like that. She looked hurt"
"But you had to tell her the truth!I'm still thinking of how I'll break the news to Aaron too"
"I know he wouldn't take it lightly. I feel like she was deeply in love with me" Jake says and sits up on his bed.
"What matters now is she knows! I'm sure she will find someone else and soon she will forget about you"
"You think?"
"Come on! We all know Kate is a pest!" I snarl. Jake smiles.
"Come sit here" he says patting to the spot beside him. I oblige and sit down gazing at the tattoos on his neck. Then I saw the one on his arm. Helen's name. Why is it that whenever I look at him, I see her.
"Penny for your thoughts" Jake tells me and I snap out of it.
"I never knew you had tattoos Nikki" he says tracing them on my neck and arms. This sends shivers through me. I regret for not wearing a round neck blouse.
"Yeah" I say awkwardly.
"Look good on you! Makes you look hot! At what age did you get them?" He says and I swallow hard.
"When I was fifteen" I say but now I'm eighteen so three years ago.
Jake chuckles.
"I got mine when I was fourteen" he says with a smirk and traces it with his index finger.
"Wanna touch it?" He asks. Like seriously?
I shake my head.
"Come on! I wouldn't bite you!"he says and grabs my hand. I trace them with my index finger then I quickly recoil when I hear him moan. Did he just moan?
He realises it and blushes making me giggle
" What do you do to these hands?"he asks me holding both in his.
"Nothing" I say confused
"They are so soft" he says and I blush making him chuckle.
"Well thank you for the compliment" I say sarcastically making him laugh.
"So what do we do now that Kate is gone?" I ask
"Something fun?" Jake says with a shrug. I glance at the time and its fifty nine minutes past four. I have 2 hours more to Aaron's date. My parents might be back home by now and Trina would have finished her therapy
"What do you mean by something fun?" I ask him and he smirks
"Nikki! Don't tell me you do not understand what I said" he spits and I'm confused the more.
"Okay! Lemme give you a clue! We can do anything right now" He spits and I shrug.
"So what do we suggest we should do?" I ask him becoming frustrated. He wasn't going straight to the point.
"I don't know! anything?" Jake says with an evil smile and bites his lips.
I couldn't think of anything than watching movies together or playing games
"Okay let's play games" I say casually and stand up
"Which game?" He asks.
I huff
"Any virtual game! " I tell him
"You don't want any real games?" He ask raising a brow
"Which real games?" I ask.
He chuckles and stands up.
"Never mind" he waves it off with a huge smile.
"Pervert!" I scold and he laughs.
"I have another idea. Why don't we play 'catch with your mouth'?" Jake says and I'm confused
"What's that?"
He chuckles slightly.
"You will know soon. Let's go to the hall" he says and exits his bedroom. I glance at the time again and it five minutes past the hour five.
I need to leave this place at exactly thirty minutes past five.

"I did it!" I yell as I finally got to catch a red ball of M'n'M in my mouth. Jake chuckles beside me.
"See? Its not that bad" he says and throws two blue balls in the air and catches it with his mouth.
I was totally taken aback because I could only catch one ball at a time.
"How did you do that?" I ask him and his infamous smile appears.
"I don't know but I guess practice makes perfect" he says and I just gape at him
"I have been doing this for a long time Nikki! Even my sister couldn't beat me when it comes to this game" he brags and I snort picking up a yellow ball from the packet.
"What about a challenge?" I muse
"Sure!" Jake says with a smirk and I know I'm going to lose but all the same, I'm willing to take it.
"Go!" I spit and throw the yellow ball in the air. Jake does the same and opens his mouth.
The yellow ball enters into my mouth and glides on my tongue. I close my mouth and look at Jake. He has his mouth closed too.
"I guess we don't have a winner" he says curtly and I groan.
"Two balls" he says holding up one blue ball and red ball.
I pick up two too. A yellow ball and a blue ball. I know I'll lose this but I'm gonna give it a shot still.
"Go!" Jake yells and we throw the balls into the air simultaneously
The blue one enters my mouth and the yellow one lands on the counter making Jake chuckle.
"You lost Anderson" he taunts.
I scowl and pick up the yellow ball. I throw it into my mouth frustratedly.
I watch Jake throw three green balls in the air and he catches all of them in his mouth.
He looks at me with a proud grin.
"That was a sight to see" I drone sarcastically and his grin widens.
The packet is almost empty. I look into it and its left with four balls. Two red balls, one yellow ball and a green ball.
I pick up one red ball and shove it into my mouth. My alarm goes off and I flinch in surprise. Then I remembered I set the alarm five thirty so that I can prepare for Aaron's date.
"What's that?" Jake asks as I put off the alarm on my phone.
"Its signalling me to go home and get prepared for the date" I say and Jake's face falls.
"So soon? We were having a great time" he says and throws a red and yellow ball in the air. Then he catches it with his mouth again.
"Yeah! I gotta go!" I say getting up and stuffing my phone into my pocket.
"Here" he says and hands me the last green ball in the packet making me laugh
"Thanks" I say and shove it into my dry mouth.
"Can I walk you back home?" Jake asks and I'm astonished but I shrug and say yes.
