Jake POV:

I wake up to the aroma of bacon and omelette. I rub my face tiredly and shade my eyes from the rays of the sun in the room.

"You finally woke up sleepy head" Kate's voice booms from behind me. She was in my shirt and her purple hair was wet.

"I took a shower and wanted something to wear so I found this in your closet and decided to put it on cause  my clothes are rumpled. I hope its okay" she says as if reading my thoughts.

"No problem Kate! On the contrary you look hot in my shirt" I say with my stubborn eyes checking out her curves.

She giggles. I could smell my shampoo from a distance together with the scent of my soap. I guess she used my stuff.

"I cooked breakfast! So go take a shower and start digging in" Kate tells me.

"Thanks love" I tell her and she blushes. I smile and go to my room to take a shower.

I come back in a simple blue tee shirt and grey shorts. My hair still had some moisture in it.

Kate was waiting in the dining hall for me.

"Did I take long babe?" I ask her.

"No!" She replies

"You look so handsome! I would like to stare at your beautiful grey eyes all day" She adds and I melt in a way.

I just chuckle nervously.

"So do I! Your azure eyes are so electrifying! It looks like...." I trail off. I was about to say it looks like Nicole's own.

"It looks like?" Kate asks with a chuckle.

"I meant its beautiful babe"I lie.

She giggles.

I dig into my omelette and toast.

" so what's your real hair colour Kate?"

"Its ginger red"

"Ginger red? Wow! Why don't you like it? I like that hair colour"

"You do?"

"Yes really" I reply and fill my mouth with food.

"Well I like it but I just wanted a new look that's why I continuously dye it" she replies honestly.

"But Ginger red will really match with those azure irises of yours" I tell her honestly and she blushes.

"Okay! I'll go back to my original hair colour" she promises.

"Maybe I can do it today!" She quickly says when we are done eating and goes to my room.

I wash the plates and I wait in the hall. Kate walks in and I'm stunned.

"I washed the dye out! Its back to the original" she says proudly and I just stare at her hair. It was so beautiful. I wanted to touch it.

"Errr.... Jake! What do you think?" She asks me whiles twirling a strand around her index finger. It was kind of in afro style.

"I love it" I tell her honestly and she smiles.

I go and hug her touching her hair.

I kiss her hand when we break apart.

"I'm glad you like it" she says. I'm lost in her azure eyes.

"Its really beautiful! Any girl would kill to have that type of hair colour" I state honestly and she giggles.

"Let's do something!" She suggests.

"What?" I ask her.

"Go somewhere and have fun maybe" she states with a shrug.

"And are you going in my shirt?" I ask raising an eyebrow at her with a  husky voice.

She giggles and flips her ginger red hair and it fascinates me.

"I wish but everyone would look at me as if I'm a mad woman or something so I would have to change" she says with a pout.

"Just stay here! I'll get you a dress!" I say and pick up my car keys.

"Are you going to the boutique?" She asks me.

"Seems like it!" I tell her.

"But don't go anywhere! Just stay here! I'll be right back" I reply and peck her cheek before leaving my apartment.

I drove steadily down the road in search of a women's boutique. I know its kind of weird for a guy to be entering the women's boutique. I spot Nikki's  glossy Honda  Civic behind me. Is she following me? If she wants us to talk, I'm not ready.

I switch lanes and allow her to pass. She passes me in a flash and heads down the highway.

I follow her with the same speed still looking for a boutique.

I see Nikki's Honda Civic  enter a....oh its the boutique am looking for but I don't want to be in the same shop with her and I don't want her to think I was following her! I contemplate whether to go there or find another boutique. I decide to enter.

I park my car far away from Nikki's own and get down. I stride into the boutique and the first person who caught my eye was Nikki. She looked stunning in a simple purple blouse and black flare skirt over black boots. Her hair was in a kind of afro form and run down her back to her waist in curls. It was so beautiful. I wanted to look at her azure eyes so badly but she was busy looking at a few dresses.

I spot Alec's rose diamond necklace around her neck and that alone upsets me. I came here for Kate! And not to admire this liar!

I looked through the long line of clothes. There were nice dresses here with different styles. I look through. Which colour would she want? I decide on a magenta v--neck sleek fitting dress. I took  it and looked at the prize.

It was 85 dollars and it was just the perfect size for Kate.

I walk to the cashier and Nikki is already there holding a voucher. The voucher Melissa gave her yesterday as a birthday present. I suddenly feel guilty for not giving her a present.

She was holding three dresses in her hand. One was black and white and was sleeveless, the second one was maroon and was v neck and the last one was a navy dress which was round neck.

She hands the voucher to the cashier, takes something from the cashier and the cashier hands her a plastic bag. She dumps her clothes in it and  then turns around to face me. She's surprised to see me and her azure eyes trail to the magenta dress in my hand.

A frown becomes apparent on her face and my face is in the same way. She huffs and walks away.

I smile in satisfaction.

I pay for Kate's dress and leave the boutique with the dress in a plastic bag. Nikki's Honda Civic is gone.

I hop into my car and drive out of the boutique.

"Jake! This is beautiful! How did you know my colour is magenta?" Kate says the moment I hand the bag to her.

"I just guessed" I say with a shrug.

"I'm gonna try it and I'll take it to the party tonight" she says with enthusiasm and dashes into my room.

My mind drifts off to Nikki. No! I need to stop thinking about her! Like seriously, I need to! For my own good!

"How do I look?" I hear Kate say and I turn to see her. I was dumbfounded.

I walk towards her. She raises her eyebrows in question.

"You look stunning" I say and she blushes.

"Thanks! I can't wait to take this to the party" she says giddily.

"What about we going out? I had a perfect place in mind for the two of us alone" I reply emphasizing the alone.

"Oh I'm so sorry about that! Let's just stay here! Then we will go for the party when its getting to eight. Okay?"

"Okay" I reply with a small smile and she dashes into my room to change

Nicole POV:

"What's wrong Nicole? Why are you so upset and moody? Are you in your period? Do you need a tampon?" Trina rattles and I groan.

"Cut the crap Trina! I'm not in my period! And I do not need a tampon okay? Just leave me alone"

Trina sighs. Seeing Jake at that boutique with that magenta dress has got me going nuts. I know he bought it for Kate! Its obvious! Who else apart from her! Its not like I'm jealous or something or am I? But I feel sad because he couldn't even give me a birthday gift. I know I got loads of birthday gifts but it kind of hurts.

"You were in such a cheerful mood when you left but you came back and you sound like you want to kill someone so bad" Trina states

I chuckle slightly.

"I don't sound like that!" I reply

"Yes you do! And you better tell me what happened"

"Don't you get tired of sticking your nose where it doesn't belong?" I spit amused.

"No! Especially when it comes to you dear sister"

I huff.

"You are unbearable!" I yell at her and she laughs.

"Okay so tell me!" She urges.

"Trina I think am turning into a jealous bitch"I state and she chuckles.

" Who are you jealous of?"Trina asks.

"Its a feeling I cannot decipher! I don't know if its jealousy or anger or bitterness or whatever!" I rattle.

Trina furrows  her eyebrows

"Okay calm down Nicole and talk"

I take a deep breath.

"I don't like seeing Jake and Kate together. It makes me sick! I don't know why but I have that possessive feeling." I tell her and her eyes grow wide.

"I know I'm being kind of selfish because I have Aaron and Alec but I don't know why I feel disturbed when I see them together" I explain to her whiles packing my new dresses in my closet.

"I think you are in love with Jake" Trina reasons and I choke on my spit.

I snatch a glass of water on my cabinet and take it.

"What? That's outrageous Trina!" I scold.

"That's what I think because its obvious"

"No no no! You are crazy! That's not it! I'm not in love! Or am I? This is stupid"

Then why did I get so jealous when I saw him buying that magenta dress for Kate

"Nicole is in love" Trina taunts me.

"Silly girl" I tell her and roll my eyes concentrating on my dresses.

"So are we going to the party tonight you lovesick freak?" Trina  asks and I groan exaggeratedly.

"No" I say quickly. It is obvious Jake bought the dress for her for tonight's party and she will be with him.

"Why not?" Trina whines.

"I'm ......" I pause thinking of a reason why I can't go.

"I need to complete a project before Monday" I say. I had a project to do but it wasn't due until next week Wednesday.

"Can't you do it tomorrow?" Trina asks me.

"It will take a lot of time to do it so I need to start today" I reply

Trina groans.

"You still need to go" she grumbles

"Sorry sweetheart! But next week please"

Trina whines and I'm glad.

"I'll come up with something! We will have to go" Trina spits.

"Do whatever you want! I'm not going today"I repeat

Trina takes my iPhone 8. I already  warned her not to go through my fucking phone.

"What are you doing?" I ask annoyed.

"Texting Jake" she says with a shrug and I feel like exploding right now.

"What? You can't....." I trail off trying to snatch the phone from her.

"If you try to snatch it, I'll send the message" Trina threatens and I huff.

"What do you want? You know Jake and I aren't on good terms" I ask her.

"I know! I'm just doing this for a reason"Trina spits and my stomach does a double flip

" what reason?"I bark at her.

She giggles.

"If you agree to go to the party with me, I wouldn't send the message but if you don't agree, the message will shoops"she says emphasizing the shoops or whatever it was. Was that a word? No its not.

"Are you blackmailing me Trina?" I ask in annoyance.

Trina feigns hurt.

"Oh sister! That's so harsh to say! This isn't blackmailing, its let's say convincing" she spits and I huff.

"So choose an option. You going or not?" She adds and I just look at her. If I don't go, she's sending that damn message to Jake. I don't know what the subject is but am sure Trina wrote something about love to him.

"Okay fine! I'll go but you better help me with my project when we come back" I spit defeated.

"Sure" Trina says

"Its thirty minutes past six. Start preparing sweetie" Trina spits and leaves my phone on the bed. Then she exits my room. As soon as she was gone, I took the phone to read what she typed but my smart sister erased it or more so, she didn't type anything! I growl. She's gonna pay!

"Why do you like travelling like the speed of light Nicole? Its scary" Trina grumbles beside me at the passenger seat. I did that to make her pay for what she did to me.

I just smirk and increase the speed making her gulp. We were on our way to the party. I wore my round neck navy dress which I bought earlier today at the boutique together with the rose diamond necklace Alec gave me and golden bracelet Aaron gave me. Trina told me I look extremely gorgeous. I smile at the thought. My hair was curled and  it flowed down my back

I pulled up in front of the clubhouse and the place is already lit. Trina and I alight from my car. I spot Jake's car a few metres away from mine. He was already here with her!  I clear my thoughts about him and walk Trina into the house.

"Nikki!" I hear someone call and turn around to find Aaron.

"You look great" he adds shocked.

"Thank you Aaron" I reply grateful

Trina coughs exaggeratedly behind me

"Oh hello Trina!"Aaron says to her and she waves back.

" you look stunning "he tells Trina and she smiles.

" let's go and sit down"Aaron says and leads us to a table.

"Hey cupcake!" Alec greets first.

I giggle.

"Nikki" Troy yells

"Hey sugar" Kimberly adds.

Where was Danny? I spot him standing at the DJ area.

Trina and I sit down. Aaron winks at me and I wink back with a smile

I cannot deny I wanted to see Jake

I looked around frantically for him but I couldn't see him.

"Would you like to dance buttercup?" Alec's voice interrupts me. He was so polite.

"Sure" I reply and look at Aaron for an approval. He nods

Alec walks me to the dancefloor

"You look ravishing buttercup" Alec says softly as we dance.

I smile feeling butterflies in my stomach.
