I quickly get up and look for Alec. He was trudging towards me with a huge grin on his face. My eyes grow wide when I see what's behind him. AÂ brown bear!
"ALEC! RUN!!!" I warn but he's confused. He hears the bear roar and he takes to his heels.
I run towards the jeep with him close behind. He gets in.
"Hurry!" I yell and he drives as fast as he can whiles the bear chases the car.
"Have we lost it?" He asks me and I spy.
"Yeah!" I say with a heavy sigh.
"That's good" Alec replies but it appears in front of us and smashes the car. The windscreen shatters
I get out of the car with Alec and we run for our lives
"Where the hell did you bring me to?" I yell at him whiles running. The bear is a few feet away.
"I don't know! I always come here" he yells back.
"I think the bear just came here recently" he adds.
We run faster. My heart is beating fast in my chest and adrenaline surges through my veins
We finally come upon a cliff with a huge river below.
"Let's jump!" Alec suggests
"What?" I ask
"That's the only way"
"We can't! What if its deep?"
"We need to! Now take my hands" he says and I hear the bear heading towards us.
I take his hand and we jump before the bear reaches us. I swallow hard as we enter the water. It reminded me of a scene in Jurassic world. I resurfaced with Alec.
"Nikki are you okay?" He hollers
"Yes I am" I reply with the current of the water pushing me backwards a bit. I'm wet.
We swim to the shore. The water wasn't so deep but I don't think the bear would jump too. Alec and I get out of the water and stand at the bank. I squeeze my clothes and the water drains out.
"I'm so sorry about that" Alec says. His brown hair is wet and keeps sticking on his face making me chuckle.
"Its okay! That was fun" I reply and a sympathetic smile graces his beautiful pink lips.
"But how do we go home now? We are in the middle of no where" he spits and I realise he's right.
I check my pocket for my phone but I guess I lost it during the run. Shoot!
"Do you have your phone here?" I ask Alec hopefully.
"Yeah" he says and pulls it out of his pocket.
"Call someone" I urge and he dials feverishly.
"Oh no! No no no!" He yells into the phone.
"What?" I ask worriedly.
"No signal!" He replies.
"What?" I blurt and snatch the phone from him and try calling my mom.
"Yeah no signal" I sigh disappointed
"What do we do now?" I add.
"We need to think! We can't stay here! Its too dangerous especially if there's a bear who wants to eat us" Alec spits.
"What about finding a way back to the jeep. Maybe we can find it before its late." I suggest.
"Its on the hill Nikki! How do we get there if we are way down here?" Alec says frustrated. He was right about that
"There should be a way" I say hopeful.
"What if there's no way? What if we get lost? What if we get attacked by another bear or worse?" Alec drawls out and I shudder.
"You may be right! But we cannot just sit here and do nothing?" I spit and walk further into the forest.
After walking, I stopped to look at Alec. He was still standing by the river.
"You coming or what?" I ask him
He sighs defeated and walks to me.
"Look! Nothing is going to happen to us! We will find a way" I assure him and he smiles. We walk together into the forest. I spot a few insects crawling on the forest floor.

The forest goes on and on and I'm tired of walking. My feet hurts.
"I think we are going too deep and that can lead to something" Alec spits.
"We need to keep going until we find help or something!" I retaliate and walk further.
"Ouch!" I yell and Alec runs up to me.
"Why! what happened?"he asks.
" My toes hurt"I grumble.
He helps me and I sit on a rock. He takes off my shoes and my toes are crimson. My toes are really sensitive!
"Oops! I guess your toes agree with me here! Cos they look tired" Alec taunts.
"We can't stay here!" I spit.
"Yeah!" He says and looks around. There is absolutely nothing here. Only trees.
"I guess we would have to walk a little more" he states.
"I'm not walking!" I state and he smiles.
"Of course not! With these delicate toes of yours?" He says with a chuckle.
He bends down with his back faced towards me.
"Get on my back" he instructs.
"What?" I ask shocked.
"Get on my back. I'll take you" he repeats.
"You can't carry me!" I protest folding my arms.
He gets up and sighs.
"Nikki! I can! Why do I have these then?" He says and points to his muscles making me blush.
"Are you sure?" I ask him
"100%" he replies and bends down again
"Now hop on" he says
"Okay cowboy" I reply
I shrug and hook my legs around his waist. I place my hands on his shoulders for support.
"Whoah! You are heavy" he says before getting up to his full height. It looked like I was on a mountain on top here.
"I told you! But you didn't listen to me" I scold him
"Its alright. I can manage" he replies and begins to walk.
"You okay now?" He asks
"Yeah! Thanks" I reply. He chuckles and he walks farther into the forest. His back was like a soft bed and I felt sleepy all of a sudden. His cologne filled my nose and before I realised it, I was gone.

I woke up later and its morning. I found Alec sleeping on the floor next to me.
"Wake up sleepy head" I shout in his ear and he opens his amber eyes.
He yawns and smiles when he sees me.
"Nikki" he says slowly.
"We have to find a way remember?" I state and he nods whiles rubbing his face.
I grab my shoes and put them on. My toes were better now.
"And oh! Thanks for the ride yesterday!" I say with a giggle.
Alec smiles and walks towards me.
"Its my pleasure" he says with his face a few inches from mine. He encircles my waist with his hands and leans in.
Our lips connect and before I realised it his tongue went deeper and deeper sending shivers down my spine. His lips were so soft and I felt butterflies erupt in my stomach. We break apart for oxygen and he brushes some hair out of my face.
"You are beautiful" he says softly with a smile.
My brain is mushed from what just happened. He chuckles and takes my hand.
"Let's go" he says and I follow him into the forest. I could smell the sweet scented flowers as the air blows and a few butterflies cross my path
"I would have stayed here if the bear hadn't been so mean. I really wish I can talk to it" I tell Alec.
"This place is a wonderful place" he says and looks up. I follow his gaze and see three squirrels climb a tree. Birds sing in the trees and I see a group of bunnies playing.
"Its like a miniature forest." I tell him and he smiles
"And I discovered it" he says proudly and I elbow him.
"Ouch" he moans rubbing his side.
"Oh look! There's the jeep at the top!" I alert him.
He looks up and sees it. I was grateful he didn't park it too far.
"Come on!" He spits and I follow him.
"Almost there!" He says as we run past a few trees getting a better view of the jeep.
Then I heard a roar. Fuck!
"Stop" Alec says and I stop dead in my tracks trying to trace the sound. I hear loud footsteps and the trees rustle in front of us. The beast roars and we realise how close it is. My breath hitches.
A huge brown bear steps up in front of us and roars.
"Holy Shit!" Alec blurts and I swallow hard.
"Let's run" he adds and we run as it chases us.
We were about to get to the jeep! Fuck!
I ran as fast as I can beside Alec but I trip on a rock and fall getting a bruise on my knee. Blood oozes out but I don't care! I run. The bear chases us and I scream at the top of my lungs. We are going to get eaten.
We finally hide behind a huge tree lose the bear but the jeep is out of sight now! Shit! We were so close to going home!
"Are you okay? Oh fuck!" Alec says when he sees the bruise.
"Let's go to the stream and wash it" he suggests.
"But its far away" I reply exhausted.
He takes off his shirt.
"What are you doing?" I ask
"First aid?" He says with a shrug and ties the wound with his shirt.
"There" he says when he is done. It relieves the pain a bit. I can't take my eyes off Alec's chest and muscles.
"Its better now thanks" I quickly say and he smiles. I look at his shirt on my leg and its soaked with blood.
"What do we do now?" I ask
"We are trapped in this forest"
Alec brings out his phone and tries calling again.
"Still no signal"he sighs.
" do your parents know you usually come to this place?"I ask hopeful.
"No! Its personal" he says and I huff
"We need to find a way out of here" I spit
Alec and I run. We didn't know where were going. We were just running.
"What if we meet the bear again?" I say
"We can't stay here any longer! Or we'll die" Alec says out of breath.
"Now let's go" he adds and drags me.
We are going further into the forest. I spot the jeep again and I'm filled with happiness.
"To the jeep!" Alec announces and I ran after him dripping with sweat.
"Fuck! We need to climb the hill to get to it" Alec states and I shudder. I wasn't a good climber. I look around to see if the brown bear was around. It was no where in sight.
"Can you climb?" Alec asks and I look at it. Its rough and it looks slippery! I could fall.
I shake my head.
"Come on Nikki! There's no other way! We can't stay here any longer" Alec convinces.
"I'll try" I reply.
"Thanks! Now you go first! I'll be behind you so that if you slip, I can catch you"
I nod and take a deep breath. I hold it as I get my feet on one rock and place the other on another. I climbed further using my hands and legs. It wasn't so bad.
"Keep going Nikki!" Alec calls from behind.
I continue to climb taking careful steps making sure not to slip
The sharp rocks cut my palm and I grimace.
"Go on! You're almost there!" Alec says from behind and I go further exerting all the energy l have in me to get to the top. I finally make it to the top and sit on the grass. I release a breath.
I help Alec come up and we are back on top.
"We made it! To the jeep!" He reminds and we enter the jeep quickly. Then we drove out of the forest.
"Oh my God! I'm so relieved now" Alec tells me.
I nod in agreement. He sees the wound on my palm
"Shit! You got cut?" He asks
"Yeah." I reply.
"I'm taking you to my house"he says and drives faster.
" I'm so sorry about all that shit! I promise you we wouldn't go to that place again"Alec apologises.
"Don't worry! I actually got the solution to my problem before all that shit happened." I assure him
"You did? I told you so" Alec says.
"But I'm not going there again" I warn.
Alec chuckles and I look at his tanned chest. We finally arrive at his house and he carries me bridal style into his room. I didn't see his mom nor his siblings. I guess they were out.
Alec places me on his black and white bed.
"You'll have to take a shower first! Before I give you the first aid" he says and brings out a first aid box from his drawers.
" and I'll get you something to wear when you are done!"he says
"Okay!" I reply and he smiles.
"I'm glad we made it alive together!" He states.
"I'll leave you to do your stuff" he adds and leaves the room
I get up and undress. Then I made it to the bathroom again. I loved his bathroom so much. I took a long relaxing shower before returning back to the room.
There was a yellow sleek fitting knee length dress on the bed and my old clothes weren't there. I got into the dress and dried my hair.
There is a knock on the door.
"Nikki! Are you done?" Comes Alec's voice
"Yeah" I yell and he enters still topless.
"Took you long enough." He says.
"What were you doing in my bathroom?" He adds and I giggle.
"I was taking a shower of course" I say obviously and he chuckles.
"You smell so much like me! I like it when you use my stuff" he adds.
I scoff under my breath.
"You are so pathetic" I say.
Alec grins
"At least, you used my stuff" he taunts and I roll my eyes
"Where did you get this dress if I may ask?" I ask knowing it may belong to one of his sluts.
"Its my mom's. When she bought it she realised it wasn't her size and she just dumped it somewhere but I had it laundered and I kept it" he explains.
"Why did you keep it? Its not like you can wear it?" I ask.
"I just needed it for emergency situations like these" he says with a smirk.
"So you kept it for your bimbos right?" I ask and he smiles sheepishly
"Kind of but I swear they didn't wear it. You are actually the first to wear it and I like the way you look so hot in it" he compliments and I blush.
"Shut up!" I spit and he chuckles.
"Come on Nikki! I'm being sincere here! You look good in the dress" Alec says and I scoff under my breath.
"Thank you!" I reply in a sarcastic tone and he laughs.
