These kidnappers were so brazen they didn't even bother to blindfold Elton. That alone. was a

chilling sign-they clearly had no intention of letting him walk out alive. Realizing this only deepened

Elton’s worry.

He was thrown into a room with Balfour and Victoria. When he caught sight of hist daughter, safe

and sound, he lunged towards her.

“Victoria!”

At first, Victoria, slumped in despair, thought she was hallucinating her father's voice. She

straightened up, straining to listen.

"Am I going crazy, or did I just hear my dad?” she murmured to herself. Balfour, however, confirmed

her hopes.

"You're not hearing things. Your dad's really here.”

“Victoria.” Elton called again, and this time Victoria's eyes welled up with tears.

“Dad, how did you get here? Are you going to get us out?”

The other kidnappers, overhearing this heartfelt reunion, chuckled at the doorway.

“Feeling shy now, are we? Your dad's just come to keep you company. You both might as well get

comfy in this dump!”

As the door clicked shut, silence fell over the room again.

“Dad, how did you end up here? What's going on?" Victoria asked, her eyes still covered, unable to

pinpoint Elton’s location, her gaze following his voice.

"Sweetheart, tell me how you are first. Did they hurt you?” Elton asked, his voice filled with

concern.

Victoria shook her head. “Balfour took the hits for me whenever they tried to rough me up.”

Elton quickly scanned Victoria, relieved to see her unharmed where her skin was exposed. If she said

she was okay, he trusted she had been spared any serious harm, though clearly frightened.

He hoped his presence would at least bring some comfort to the kids, to alleviate the fear they'd

been drowning in.

“So you must be Balfour,” Elton said. “Thanks for watching over my girl. Your grandparents are

moving heaven and earth to get you out, so don't worry. They'll have you home in no time.”

"We're classmates. If it wasn't for me, she wouldn't be in this mess,” Balfour replied, his
