Chapter 2419
Most of Ivy's fans didnât show up on the internet, but deep down they knew that on the vast
expanse of the internet, disliking Ivy had become the prevailing trend.
These devoted fans, who genuinely admired her, were now being labeled as crazed and delusional.
One fan declared defiantly: [I know who Ivy really is, and I won't start hating her just because there's
a mob out there trying to drag her through the mud.]
In their fan club chat rooms, they sought solace among themselves.
[I've met Ivy. I know sheâs a genuinely good girl through and through. It breaks my heart to see her
being slandered like this, to see all this filth being flung at her! Ivy hasn't done anything to deserve
this hatred. Why must she endure such vile insults? Wasn't the drama on the set resolved? Why isn't
anyone standing up to clear Ivy's name now?]
[Don't you see why? Ivy doesn't have a powerhouse agency behind her; sheâs just a newbie actress
fresh on the scene. These days, I've heard that the production is on its final legs, racing against the
clock. Chances are, they're oblivious to the storm brewing online! Oh, how I wish those rumors
about Ivy having a strong backer were true-at least then she'd have a fighting chance to clear her
name. Are we supposed to just accept this smear campaign against her? It really hurts to see her
like this.]
Indeed, Ivy hadn't anticipated that even amid such dire straits, she'd still have a cohort of fans
steadfast in their belief in her.
She also noticed how some fans fell silent and drifted away from the fan groups after the
controversy. Worse yet, a few switched sides, becoming her detractors and joining the chorus of
online bashing.
She didn't blame them; after all, they were strangers, and she had no right to demand their
belief.
Yet, when she saw those who truly cared for her, she couldn't help but feel a stinging sensation
behind her eyes.
Silently, she made a promise to those fans. âJust give me a few more days, I won't let you
down.â
For the sake of her supporters, Ivy knew she had to pick herself up.
Just like some fans had pointed out, the film was nearing its conclusion, demanding more of Ivy's
energy to bring the character of Valor to life.
With Alyssa in her corner, Ivy felt reassured, entrusting the matter to her-a level of trust she hadn't
even afforded her own parents.
Meanwhile, over at the Dunhillsâ, Clara had returned home seething with rage, fresh from

her release.
Ignoring the servant's gentle reminder to change into slippers, she flung her purse onto the couch
and crashed into it with a huff.
In the kitchen, Tessa was rustling up a homely dinner when she noticed Clara's fury. Quickly handing
her apron to a nearby servant, Tessa went to greet her with a smile.
"What's the matter, Clara? Who's gone and ruffled our little lady's feathers?â she asked, her tone
dripping with maternal warmth.
Clara let out a scornful laugh, âWho else but Ivy, that wretch, to make my blood boil.â
Tessa's smile stiffened, âIvy moved out ages ago, and we've cut ties; how could she possibly affect
you now?â
Clara's expression instantly turned woeful as she clung to Tessa's arm. âHaven't you seen. the news?
Everyone's saying Ivy's a bully, the whole internet is against her.â
