Chapter 2237
The nurse finished adjusting the blinds by the window and turned around with a smile upon
noticing Ivy stirring.
âMs. Dunhill, you're awake! I'm Elara, the nurse responsible for your care during your stay here. I was
just about to draw the curtains a bit to let you sleep in longer. Did I wake you with the noise?â
Ivy, just coming out of a nightmare, was still a bit dazed.
"Where's my husband? Where did he go?â
Elaraâs smile remained gentle and reassuring. âOh, you mean Mr. Howard? He went back home to
grab some things for you. He said he'd be back within the hour, so he should be on his way now.â
Upon hearing that Balfour had gone to fetch some items, Ivy's eyelashes fluttered downward
Unwilling to admit it, she found herself in need of Balfour, especially now. She wished he would stay
by her side, not leaving even for a moment.
âAre you thirsty, dear? Your lips look a bit chapped. Would you like some water?â
Elara, ever so empathetic, brought over a glass of water and a cotton swab, ready to moisten Ivy's
lips if she still felt uncomfortable.
Ivy nodded. Being unconscious had left her dehydrated, and her lips felt parched and
uncomfortable.
Seeing Ivy's nod, Elara beamed. âAre you still feeling sleepy, or would you like some company to
chat? It's been a while since I've seen a young couple as affectionate as you and Mr. Howard.â
Mentioning Balfour immediately piqued Ivy's interest. âOur relationship... does it really seem
good?â
Elara raised an eyebrow playfully.
Was this lady fishing for compliments? Her husband had been so anxious while she was
unconscious, and from the moment she woke, their hands hadn't parted even for a second. His gaze
hadn't left her for a moment!
With Elaraâs words, Ivy couldn't help but smile.
âBased on your words, it seems our relationship is indeed in a good place. Thank you.â
âGreat is an understatement. You two are the epitome of a match made in heaven. Both of you are
attractive and well-matched in stature, truly a golden couple.â
Elara genuinely felt this way.
When Balfour and Ivy appeared in the hospital, they had turned heads throughout the building.
Now that Ivy had woken up from her coma, her usual vibrancy was shaded with a touch of
vulnerability that only made her seem more delicate and precious. If the bystanders felt this way,
Balfour's feelings were undoubtedly even stronger.
Ivy hadn't expected that her hospitalization would cause such a stir.
âYou wouldn't believe it, but there are many fans of yours in this hospital. When they saw you being
rushed to the ER, some were in tears! Everyone's been quite concerned.â
Ivy's eyes widened in surprise.
Fans in the hospital?
The idea of them witnessing her in such a disheveled state concerned her. Despite not carrying
herself with the aloofness of a celebrity, she feared disappointing those who supported her.
Today had been too much of a mess.
