Giselle scurried over to her tote bag with brisk steps.
Without her assistant around, searching for a pack of tissues in such a large bag was like looking for
a needle in a haystack.
Balfour watched her rummage and decided to join in, prompting a bright and reassuring smile from
Giselle.
âBalfour, just hold on a sec, will you? My assistant usually organizes this thing, and I don't have a
clue where she's put the tissues. It's a bit of a challenge to find them, but don't worry, I'm sure
there's a pack in here somewhere. I'll find them in a jiffy.â
As Giselle was focused on her task, Balfour playfully nudged her from behind just as she bent over.
The bag, hefty as it was, slipped from Giselle's grip and crashed to the floor.
"Ah"
Her belongings scattered across the ground, Giselle gasped in shock!
She was about to kneel and gather her things. But suddenly, a murmur of surprise rippled through
the bystanders.
âShh- Did you see that? The outfit that just fell from Giselleâs bag, isn't that the same one Ivy wore
the other day, caught on camera?â
An eagle-eyed onlooker had spotted an ensemble tumbling out of Giselleâs tote.
A smug smile curled at the edge of Balfour's lips. This was precisely the spectacle he had
anticipated.
"Yeah, I'll be darned. The color and style are an exact match! If memory serves, Giselle never used to
don such attire, right? Why..."
The crowd exchanged knowing looks, their skepticism palpable. Giselle was known for her vibrant
fashion sense, never for such understated simplicity.
So how did this outfit end up in her bag?
"Could it be that the person in the surveillance video that day wasn't Ivy after all? She's been
adamant she didn't do it..."
Doubt began to take root among some.
After all, that day's footage had clearly captured the outfit, but not the face of the person wearing
it!
The mysterious figure had meticulously avoided any camera angle that might reveal their

Overhearing the surrounding gossip, Giselleâs panic mounted.
She had no idea how the dress had ended up in her bag. She was certain she'd left it at home in the
wardrobe!
Her greater fear was that Balfour would start to suspect her too.
She quickly knelt down, clumsily trying to shove everything back into her bag.
While doing so, she offered Balfour a flustered explanation, âAh, Balfour! Hold on a minute, the
tissues might be all gone! I'll go find some for you elsewhere.
Oh no! My things are all over the place, and where did this dress come from? It looks so familiar!
This is just bizarre. How did this dress fall out of my bag? It's not mine, I swear!â
Giselle clutched the garment tightly and held it up for all to see, âCould this belong to one of you?
My tote bag was wide open. Maybe someone accidentally dropped their dress in my bag?â
