Chapter 2085

Colton nodded affirmatively, “We could fix it in post-production, but it might end up looking a bit

stiff. That's why I called you back. How did it go, by the way? Did you manage to grab a bite?”

He asked with a smile, and Ivy nodded, her voice full of determination, “Stuffed like a Thanksgiving

turkey, I'm aiming for a clean take!”

“That's the spirit!”

Colton looked at Ivy with eyes brimming with pride, much like a father would gaze upon his

daughter.

Some actors would give an arm and a leg to star in his films but couldn't handle his relentless script

revisions. Behind his back, they'd quietly dub him “Old Stickler.”

He was well aware of their whispers, but it didn’t faze him. He firmly believed that whether it was the

script, the shot, or the actors, nothing was set in stone until the final cut was presented.

Everyone's ideas are perfect in their mind, but the execution might end up as different as chalk and

cheese.

He wasn't superstitious, not even in himself. His faith lay solely in the finished film. His standards for

the craft were clear-if you wanted to be in one of his pictures, you had to meet his expectations.

But Ivy was different; she was like a kindred spirit he had found.

Actors who could instantly click with him were rare, and so Colton was deeply grateful to Balfour for

discovering such a promising talent.

Once Ivy immersed herself in her role, she became the female lead, forgetting every bit of lunchtime

unpleasantness.

Her performance was so vivid and compelling that no one in the film industry could resist being

captivated by her state of art.

“You lucky old dog, finding such a gem at your age!” said a veteran from the neighboring set, a

good friend of Colton’s for many

years.

Watching the magic unfold on the monitor, he couldn't help but pat Colton’s shoulder, “Incredible!

Where did you find this girl? I knew she had something special when I saw the behind-the-scenes

footage.”

Live on the set, Ivy's acting was more than impressive-it was a knockout!

“A natural-born non-academic talent. Just be envious of me, haha.”

Colton was only halfway through his cigarette when Ivy finished all her reshoots.

“Director, is there anything else you need from me?” Ivy approached to ask.

Colton waved his hand dismissively, “That's it for today. You can go rest. Come back in the morning,

and I'll have the latest script for you.”

This meant her work for the day was done. Ivy made sure all her scenes were complete before

heading back to her trailer to relax.

But upon opening the door, she was surprised to find Balfour sitting calmly on her sofa.

"Ah...what are you doing here? Didn't you... didn't you take Giselle to the hospital?”

The trip to the hospital from the studio was at least an hour round trip. How did Balfour manage

that?

He stood up, looming over Ivy, casting a shadow that enveloped her.

Ivy looked up at him timidly, “Why are you so quiet? You didn't just leave Giselle there, did you? She

was really unwell; she should be at the hospital!”
