Chapter 1867

Caught off guard by his brother's sudden question, Bryan froze, and his gaze shifted uncertainly.

"Uh? Bro, why are you suddenly asking about my sister?” Balfour knew his younger brother like the

back of his hand. Whenever Bryan lied, his eyes would dart around uncontrollably. Seeing this,

Balfour's brow furrowed, and his voice deepened. “Spill it! Have you seen her or not?”

"..I haven't...” Bryan avoided Balfour's probing gaze.

Balfour seized Bryan's collar. “Baber’s gone missing. It's possible Patricia took him. As you can see,

Ellinor is beside herself! If you've seen Patricia, tell us where she is right now!”

Baber is missing?

Bryan's eyes widened. “What?! How can my sister...”

Balfour pulled him closer. “You have seen her, haven't you? Where is she?”

Hearing this, Ellinor rushed over from Theo's side. “You've seen Patricia? Quick, tell me where she

ist”

Bryan promised Patricia he wouldn't tell, but facing the frantic questioning from Balfour and Ellinor

and knowing it concerned Baber's safety, he struggled before finally confessing.

“Yes, I did see her..."

Ellinor shoved Balfour aside and clutched Bryan's shirt. “Where did you see her? When? Where is

she now?!"

“A few days ago, Ida told me that Veronica had seen my sister. So, I had someone track her down to

a fast-food joint where she was working.

Ellinor, I'm sorry. I know my sister hurt you in the past, but she’s still my sister. After hearing about

her struggles, I couldn't help but go and see her.”

Ellinor didn't care about these details; she needed to know where Patricia was.

“Where is she?! Take me to her! Now!"

“I don't know where she is now myself. The first time I found her, she was cleaning the fast-food

joint. She even gave me a free meal deal when she saw me. Later, she asked me for two hundred

thousand dollars. Since she was struggling, I gave her the money.

Then, I passed by the same place and wanted to see her again, but the owner told me she had quit.

I have no idea where she is now.

Baber's disappearance might not have anything to do with my sister, right? She seemed different

when I saw her last time. She seemed more down-to-earth, like she'd turned over a new leaf.”

Only Bryan would believe Patricia had turned over a new leaf.

Ellinor clutched Bryan's shirt. “Take me to that fast-food joint. Now!”

Bryan blinked. “Uh? It's quite late; aren't they closed?”

“I don't care! Take me there now!”

Bryan quickly nodded. “Okay, let me change my clothes first!”

Before Ellinor could respond, Balfour grabbed Bryan. “Change what clothes?! It's not like you're

going on a date; just go like this!”

Bryan sighed. “Alright.”

And so they all hopped into Theo's car, heading swiftly towards the fast-food joint where Patricia

had once worked.
