should come back another day.”

“Bertha, you can go back with Lea; I'll wait here for Arnold. I need to clear some things up today, or I

won't be able to sleep!”

She wanted to ask Arnold why he had lied years ago. Why did he tell her that her daughter was

dead when she was alive and well?!
