Chapter 1700
Ellinor sneezed several times on her walk, making her feel as if someone was talking about her.
She naturally thought it was her three little ones at home, or perhaps Veronica was wondering why
she hadn't returned yet. The thought didnât occupy her mind for long.
She waved goodbye to Balfour at the entrance of the Blanchet Villa, then swiftly turned and headed
inside.
Inside the villa, Veronica was entertaining the three children with the Mechanical Hero Kite she had
recently bought online. After noticing that Ellinor had returned, she called out to the youngsters.
âHey, you three little rascals! Your mom's back. Let her take over and play with you guys now. The
sun's practically roasting me out here.â
âI'm sorry; I didn't see the calls. Now that I'm back, you can get ready for your date.â
Although Veronica was eager to meet Moran, who had been waiting for her for a while, she couldn't
help but tease the three little traitors. âHumph! All of you forgot about your auntie the moment
your mom showed up. You even tattled about me to your mom, huh?â
Adrian looked innocent. âAuntie, my brother and I didnât say anything. It was our little sister who
talked. She's the one with the big mouth.â,
Upon hearing that her brother called her big-mouthed, Layla immediately felt a surge of anger. She
put her hands on her hips and retorted, âWho are you calling big-mouthed? Don't forget that you
and I look very alike. If I have a big mouth, yours is no smaller!â
Adrian rolled his eyes at his sister. âWhatever! I wasn't talking about the size of your mouth, but
your lack of secrecy.â
This made Layla even angrier. âYou're the one who can't keep a secret! If I want to keep something
to myself, I can. I won't tell anyone!â
Adrian challenged her. âLike what?â
Annoyed, Layla huffed. âLike how I prefer the brother I had a few days ago when you weren't
around. I don't like you! You always bully me!â
âIf you like him so much, go find him! I don't like you either. You're always chattering away and
making noise. It was so peaceful when I was staying with Dad a few days ago. If it weren't for the
fact that I missed Mom, I wouldn't have come back!â
Layla shouted, âYou... you... you... you stinky brother! I'm not talking to you anymore!â
