Chapter 1682
Ida arrived at Central Hospital twenty minutes later.
As soon as she got out of the car, she rushed to the elevator in the underground parking lot.
Unexpectedly, she ran into a familiar face as soon as she stepped inside
Sophia, the woman who had given her boss a hard time.
Sophia had just left a beauty salon, so the strong scent of beauty products was still clinging to her.
It was so overpowering that it filled the entire elevator
As Ida got on the elevator, she noticed that Sophia was engrossed in her phone, allowing her to
enter undetected.
McNeil agreed. âAlright, I'll wait over there and leave this space to you.â
With that, he slowly got up from the bed.
Byran felt a little guilty about his request. If his brother were here, he'd definitely give him a
thrashing.
But if he got a separate room and left his dad alone here, he wouldn't feel comfortable. This was the
only solution.
He reached out to help his father, guiding him to the couch before dashing back to the bed. He
quickly removed his shoes, got under the covers, and feigned a weak facade.
Not long after Byran had settled down, Ida walked in.
She seemed somewhat rushed. She adjusted the slightly askew gold-rimmed glasses on her face
and looked down at Byran's grimacing face. âHow are you feeling?â
Byran groaned. âIda, you're here...â
Ida's brow furrowed slightly. He didnât sound too good. She asked again, âWhy do you look so
weakened? Where's the injury? Let me see.â
Byran pursed his lips, lifting his arm like a wronged child. He rolled up his sleeve to reveal his
wound. âRight here...â
Upon seeing the bloody bandage, Ida frowned. âDidnt the doctor already treat the wound? Why is
it bleeding again?â
