Chapter 1632
âMy name's Lea. About four years ago, my parents got into a fight. In her fury, my mom took me
and left home. But we got into a car accident on the way and ended up in the hospital, in desperate
need of a blood transfusion.
My mom's blood type is quite rare, and the hospital didnât have enough in stock. They urgently
needed a donor.
That's when you showed up. You were just in time to donate blood and save my mom's life.
We later found out that you were pregnant at the time, but you still donated blood to my mom.â
After Lea finished her story, everyone turned to look at Ellinor with a mix of respect, love, and
concern.
Ellinor recalled the incident. At that time, she was low on blood, and when the nurse found out she
was pregnant, she refused to draw any more. So, she had to ask Balfour for help, and he ended
up/donating some.
If no one had mentioned it, she would have forgotten all about it. But today, by some coincidence,
this young girl was dining at the same restaurant.
âSo it's you! Yes, I remember now. How's your mom doing?â She asked politely.
âThanks to you, my mom's been doing great these past few years.â Lea continued. âBut sheâs always
regretted not being able to find and thank the person who saved her life. But now, I've finally found
you. She'll be so happy when she sees you.â
Ellinor had no intention of meeting this girl's parents. She had merely done what she could at the
time without expecting any recognition. She especially did not
need it now.
âThat's good to hear. But I won't be going to meet your mom.â
"Why not? My parents are dining in this restaurant right now. Please meet them so they can
properly thank you. It would also put their minds at ease.â Lea pleaded
with her.
Ellinor shook her head and said softly, âNo need. Let them enjoy their meal. I won't disturb them.â
But Lea was adamant. âIt won't be a disturbance. Just wait here. I'll go tell my parents that the
person who saved their lives is here.â
As she finished speaking, she turned to leave.
But Ellinor caught her by the arm. âWait!â
âI know you like to do good deeds without leaving your name, but my mom has always wanted to
find you. I have to fulfill her wish. Please understand.â
Ellinor narrowed her eyes. âThat's not why I stopped you.â
âThen why?â Asked a puzzled Lea.
Ellinor looked at her thoughtfully. âDidn't you just tell the waitress that you got lost? Now you
suddenly know where your parents are?â
Lea looked guilty. âUh... I... I forgot earlier, but now I remember.â
Ellinor clearly didnât buy her story. âAre you lying?â
How could Lea tell the truth?
Just then, the same waitress knocked on the door again.
Chase told the waiter to come in, and the waiter hurried in.
"Sorry for the interruption. We've found this young lady's family. They're not in any upstairs private
room but in the main dining hall downstairs. She got confused and ended up upstairs. I'll take her
to her family now.â
With that, the waiter reached for Lea's hand. âCome with me, miss. I'll take you to your family.â
