Chapter 1562

Ellinor playfully pinched Marcus's handsome chin, rubbing it a bit. “You're so pitiful right now that

anyone who sees you might want to tease you until you weep.”

Marcus paused, observing the mischievous glint in the eyes of the innocent-faced Ellinor. “So, you

want to take this opportunity to retaliate?”

Ellinor's eyebrows furrowed, and she released his face from her grip. “You wish! I'm here to see my

son!”

Marcus knew she was just joking with him. “He's in the living room. Sophia's not around, so you can

go see him.”

Ellinor shrugged. “I knew she'd be out, that's why I came.”

Marcus figured as much. This sly girl must have heard Sophia would be out and seized the chance

to visit.

"Alright, then go see your kid. I need to practice a bit more; I won't accompany you.”

Ellinor glanced at him with disapproval. “You almost fell over just now, and you still want to practice

here?”

Marcus replied, “It's the best place for it. Don't worry about me; I'll take care of myself.”

Ellinor frowned and huffed, and although she wanted to say more, she held her tongue. She turned

and entered his bedroom, then exited through another door to find Adrian.

In the suite’s living room, Adrian was joyfully playing with his favorite Mechanical Hero toy.

He definitely loved it here: He felt relaxed and free to play with his toys. At home, although he was

happy, his mom would always limit his playtime with his brother. Once the allotted time was up, she

would have someone take his toys away.

But here, he didn't have to worry about any of that.

He was immersed in his play when he heard a faint cough behind him.

Adrian, paused reflexively, then immediately turned around. After seeing his mom standing behind

him with crossed arms, he thought he was dreaming.

Was it an illusion because he missed his mom so much?

Adrian rubbed his eyes hard, realizing it wasn't an illusion or a trick of the eye. His mom was really

standing there.

He immediately dropped his toy, got up, and ran towards Ellinor.

“Mommy!”

He hugged Ellinor's leg, bouncing around like a playful kitten. A sight that could melt even the

coldest heart.

Ellinor didn't immediately respond to her son. She continued to stand with her arms crossed,

looking sternly at her little rascal.

"You still remember your mommy? Weren't you having a good time here?”

Adrian pouted. “Mommy, I missed you and wanted to come home, but because... because of certain

reasons, I couldn't.”

After noticing the almost-tearful expression on his face, Ellinor finally reached out and pinched his

little cheek. “So you do remember your way home? I thought you might prefer another woman as

your mommy and don't want me anymore.”

Adrian shook his head vigorously. “No, no, Mommy; I've never called that woman mommy. I don't

like her! I've only been staying with handsome Dad, not with that Sophia! Really, if you don't believe

me, you can ask handsome Dad!"

Handsome Dad?

Ellinor paused. Realizing her son was referring to the man in the other room.

The word “handsome” wasn't misused. Even though he was confined to a wheelchair, that man was

still one of the most stunningly handsome men in the world.
