Chapter 1546
Belinda crossed her arms. âWhat do you mean âmeâ? If you're as great as you claim, Mr. Dominic,
then why are you on a blind date?â
Dominic erupted. He slapped the table and stood up. âIf it weren't for our parentsâ friendship, do
you think I'd bother meeting an old maid like you?â
"Who are you calling an old maid? I'm younger than you! If anything, you're the one who's getting
old, and you're still single!â Belinda shot back.
Dominic, unable to retort, let his temper flare and reached for his glass of lemonade, ready to splash
it at her. Suddenly, a hand shot out and grabbed his
wrist.
Belinda was already bracing for the splash, but it never came. She looked up in surprise, only to see
Chase.
Chase stopped Dominic's hand, took the lemonade, and smoothly poured it into a nearby trash bin.
Dominic looked at the newcomer, then at his empty glass. Irritated, he asked, âWho are you to be
wasting my drink?â
Chase placed the empty glass back on the table, smirking. âI just hate seeing a grown man trying to
splash a lady with a drink.â
Dominic, several inches shorter than Chase, who was six-foot-two, felt a sting to his ego. He
retorted. âI'm arguing with my woman. It's none of your
business! Mind your own!â
Chase chuckled. âYour woman? You mean the beautiful lady sitting across from you?â
Dominic puffed out his chest. âYes! Now scram, this isn't your business! Or I'll have the restaurant's
security toss you out!â
Chase merely smirked and pulled up a chair next to Belinda. âGo ahead and call them. Let's see if
they'll throw out me or the trash who's ready to assault a lady.â
Dominic was further agitated by Chase's actions. âWho told you to sit down? Get away from my
woman!â
Ignoring him, Chase turned to Belinda, asking, âBelinda, is it true? Are you his woman?â
Belinda, still shocked by Chase's sudden appearance, shook her head. âNo, I just met this gentleman
for the first time today.
After hearing her response, Chase looked back at Dominic. âDid you hear that? Belinda says she
barely knows you
Dominic pointed at them. âYou... you two know each other?â
Chase smiled. âYes, I've been pursuing Ms. Wesley for three years now, but she hasn't accepted my
advances.â
Dominic, feeling defeated, sneered. âYou're chasing her? Why would you want an old maid who
nearly married another man? She's clearly not a virgin. Brother, your taste is questionable.â
