about his past deeds and tell her, do you think Ellinor can peacefully carry a baby? It's clear as day

that she’s worried sick about Theo. So, for her peace of mind, keep it under wraps, even if you find

out anything. The more she knows, the more she'll worry.”

Chase squinted and chuckled. “Never thought you'd be so concerned about her, Mr. Howard. I

remember in the past how you always had a beef with her because of your half-sister. Compared to

now, you were like a totally different person.”.

Balfour felt a bit ashamed when it came to his past; he could tell that Chase was taking a jab at him.

But he wasn't mad; he remembered his past mistakes.

It didn’t matter if he was being ribbed or even insulted. He deserved it.

Ellinor still hadn't forgiven him or accepted him as her brother.

Chase nodded. “I hope you can be a good brother, Mr. Howard.”

Just as they stepped outside, they heard the sound of hurried footsteps coming from the stairs.

Without looking up, Balfour knew it was his brother coming down.

"Why are you running down now? They've already left.”
