Chapter 1352
When he saw that necklace, the silver-haired manâs eyes instantly filled with rage. He slammed his
hand on the interrogation table and, unable to control his fury, stood up and roared, âGive me back
my necklace!â
He had risked it all to return to the ruins just to recover that necklace. It was a keepsake from his
mother and the only photo he had with her.
Hearing the commotion, the cops outside rushed in to restrain the riled-up silver-haired man. âCool
it"
He ground his teeth in anger as he glared at Theo. âGive me back my necklace!â
Theo just toyed with the necklace nonchalantly. âSo, are you ready to reveal the identity of the
person who's pulling your strings?â
The silver-haired man spat out through clenched teeth. âNo oneâs pulling my strings! I just want you
dead!â
Theo believed that the man really wanted to kill him.
This manâs name was Samuel Blanchet, a child born from his irresponsible father's fling, his half-
brother.
Samuel only had a few years of education and was a street hoodlum since he was young, always
causing some minor trouble.
In the past two years, he somehow found resources, got his hands on illegal weapons, recruited a
bunch of goons, and gained some influence locally.
It was impossible that there wasnât someone backing him and supplying him with resources.
Theo wasn't in a rush. He pocketed the necklace and stood up. âSeems like you don't really want
this necklace, so forget it.â
With a nonchalant tone, he turned to leave the interrogation room
Now that he was about to leave, Samuel's emotions escalated. âHold on! Give me back my necklace!
Theo, you bastard! Give me
back my
necklace!â
Theo didn't stop. âWhen you're ready to come clean, come find me for the necklace.â
âTheo! Don't leave! Give me back my necklace...â
Outside the police station, Collin was waiting. He walked up to Theo. âMr. Blanchet, you haven't
rested in days; let's head home.â Theo looked tired. He rubbed his forehead as he looked up at the
moon. âCollin, is her favorite BBQ stand still open?â
Coffin knew exactly who âsheâ was.
âThe BBQ stand usually stays open till late, so it should still be open.â
Theo walked towards his car. âTake me there.â
Collin followed. âYes, Mr. Blanchet.â
The Howard family household was bustling with activity.
Since McNeil Howard took Dean Howard and Alyssa Howard abroad, and Xenia and Patricia Howard
were punished and left home, the Howard familyâs home hadn't been this lively for a while.
Chase, Ida, and Belinda also came over to the Howard familyâs house.
Everyone gathered around the living room couch, munching on fruit and chatting while asking
about the details of Ellinor's kidnapping.
Ellinor briefly explained the situation, then sipped the milk Balfour had handed her thoughtfully.
It was already past three in the morning; it was time to rest. But after the stimulating event they'd all
been through, no one felt sleepy.
Her phone buzzed. After checking it, Ellinor saw a message from Theo.
"Are you asleep?â
Ellinor hesitated and then replied, âNo. What's up?â
He replied immediately, âI'm outside; I got you some late-night snacks. Can you come get it?â
Ellinor was moved, but she turned him down.
âThanks, but I don't need it. I've already eaten. You can take it back for your grandparents.â
