Chapter 67 Borrowing a Car from the Rival The girl was over the moon. A female racer, and one who can win first place at that!
She said, âWait here. Iâll go get my brother to hand you the car keys!â
Before Olivia could respond, the girl hopped away to find her brother.
Finished Lucas thought Olivia would go to any lengths to fool the girl. First place? What a joke! Moreover, both Benjamin and Hudson were racing today!
Just as Lucas was about to mock Oliviaâs recklessness, the girl had returned, accompanied by a tall teenager. âLook, this is her! I want to lend my car to this lady!â
Lucas was silently waiting for the girlâs family to scold them for deceiving her, but when he looked up and saw her brother, he was stunned. âHudson?â
The girl turned out to be Hudsonâs sister, Alice Sullivan, Dragged over by his sister, Hudson saw the two people in front of her car. A hint of surprise appeared on the teenagerâs gentle face. âLucas?â
Coming from the same circle, Hudson and Lucas knew each other very well. Hudson and Benjamin were both topâtier racers and rivals to Lucas, meaning their relationship with one another was always a bit touchy.
âYou want to borrow my sisterâs car and claim youâll win first place?â Hudson raised an eyebrow. His rosy face let out an amused look, giving him a sunny aura and making him the opposite of Benjamin.
Lucas was speechless. They had ended up borrowing a car from their rivalâs family member. Well, this is awkward!
âHudson, Iâm not lending to him, but the lady next to him, Alice said, blinking and pointing at Olivia.
Only then did Hudson notice Olivia beside Lucas. This plainly dressed girl was completely different from all the scantily clad, flirtatious women around him looking to hook up with rich men. She wore glasses and seemed quiet and wellâbehaved.
âIs she your girlfriend?â Hudson asked Lucas.
Lucas shook his head vigorously like a rattle drum. âDonât talk nonsense! Oliviaâs my classmate!â
If Benjamin found out, would he still have his life?
Hudson smiled and looked at Olivia. âI modified this car for my sister. Since she wants to lend it to you, donât mind you driving it.â
I Hudson agreed so quickly that Lucas suspected he had some ulterior motive. No one should be fooled by Hudsonâs harmless appearance, for he always had lofty ambitions.
Hudson added, âBut this car is for Alice to win first place in the future. If you donât win this time, youâll have to figure out another way to make her happy.â
His sunny gaze, paired with a rosy face, was an absolutely lethal combination.
âAlright,â Olivia said.
1/2 Chapter 67 Borrowing a Car from the Rival Finished Hudson widened his smile. âFor safety reasons, may I have your number? If you drive off with my sisterâs car after the race, I wonât be able to explain to her.â
Olivia understood and gave Hudson her number.
Lucas stood in bewilderment. His intuition told him Hudson was definitely trying to flirt with Olivia! He felt very uncomfortable. Olivia wasnât exactly stunning, even with her glasses, yet Benjamin and now Hudson were both smitten by her.
Whatâs going on? Has Beauty standards changed?
Hudson smirked after saving Oliviaâs phone number. âOlivia, would you consider a song as payment for lending our car to you?â
Olivia was slightly taken aback.
Hudson explained, âAsher Vaughnâs my uncle. He showed me the video of you performing The Radiance and the Darkness.
