Third person's pov
Life's been great for everyone. To sum things up, everyone was living life to the fullest.
As for Lauren and Jimmy, the investigation took a good month to find them again. To make things even better, they were the leaders of the gang police had been wanting to catch for the longest time.
The Snakers were smart and sneaky, knowing the ins and outs of the police. But in the end. the cat and mouse chase ended, all having sentenced to prison.
Once that was announced, everyone heaved the sigh of relief, glad that it was finally over for real. The first time was a mistake on the police part and now increased security measures on them.
Today was the day both families would meet. It has been half a year since they were attached and it was time to officially meet their families.
Joslyn briefly explained to Julie, Gabriel and the twins about their family background and told them to bring it up in front of their siblings.
They complied and than dived into the details for the gathering happening this Friday.
Time seemed to pass fast as it was already Friday. Last night, Joslyn had been making some food for the mini gathering.
She decided to try a new recipe, chicken stir fry noodles but it was a challenge. Not because it was tough but Gavin was here. He kept trying to eat the ingredients, whether it was cooked or uncooked.
It was so bad she almost wanted to lock him in his room.
To go along with it, she made some finger foods like fries and nuggets. Last but not least, she made jelly as a dessert.
She didn't make too much as she knew Julie was also making food and didn't want to make too much.
After that, she fell asleep, not before a face time with Jerome before falling into a deep sleep.

She got up the earliest,
"Alden and Bethany help me grab the food and those gifts!" She yelled as she struggled with the pots of food. The two younger ones were already in the car, fighting over the leg room.
"Put it there" She instructed Alden and Bethany. "Thanks guys" She smiled, receiving a look of appreciation.
She then got into the car, ticked off everything in her mental checklist, making sure she forgot nothing.
Mimicking the sponge bob introduction, she yelled, "Are you ready kids?" Which earned protests from her siblings.
"I'm not a kid Lynnie. I'm an adult!"
"Same here I'm nineteen"
"I'm not a kid too"
"Exactly!!"
Each of them argued in their own ways, trying to prove that they are not a child.
"Okay okay, let's go" She chucked a little before driving off to Jerome's parents place.

Knock knock!
Joslyn knocked on the door to which Mrs Turner opened the door. "Hello Mrs Turner! These are my siblings"
"I'm Alden"
"Hello! I'm Bethany!"
"Hey I am Gavin"
"And I'm the best and the smartest, Gavin"
"Hello. Just call me Julie will do" She said and let out a chuckle. "Come on in guys"
"Wow. It's so beautiful in here" Bethany said, admiring the beauty of the interior.
"I made some food. Not too much but here it is" Joslyn told Julie as she set the noodles and finger food on the table.
"I got you guys a little something. Just some skin care products" She said, hoping Julie would like.
"Oh honey! They are the products I have been finding for the longest time! Thank you so much!!" Julie exclaimed with joy, hugging Joslyn in the process.
"No problem! The owner is good friends with me so just ask me when it runs out" Joslyn explained and glad that Julie liked it.
"Jerome is on the way back along with Gabriel and the twins" Julie explained to Joslyn who had a look of confusion when Jerome was not around.
"You guys can chill at the lounge area, do your thing. We have some movies and games you can play while waiting" She told them who couldn't contain their excitement.
"Let me help you Julie" Joslyn offered her help which she accepted happily. "To be very honest, there's still so much I haven't finished. Thank god for you to be here. Jerome chose the right one"
Upon hearing Julie's words, Joslyn couldn't help but blush at her words. "Thank you! Now, what can I help you with?" With that, they began.
"Please help me peel the potatoes" She instructed Joslyn who complied. They were planning to make some vegetable stew and burgers.
Since Julie had done quite a bit over the past 2 days, cooking was fast and easy. As they cooked, they chatted and bonded.
Just then, the front door opened, signaling everyone's arrival. "Perfect timing!" Julie exclaimed as the rest had arrived.
"FOOD TIME!!" Joslyn yelled to alert her siblings who came tumbling down when they heard the word 'food'.
"Coming!!" Gavin replied back. She then felt a breath on her neck and knew by the familiar scent that it was Jerome. "Hi baby. I miss you" He muttered softly into her ear, causing a smile to break out on her face.
The rest of them slowly left, retreating to the living room to give the couple their privacy and also get acquainted while they were at it.
She whipped around to see Jerome hands out and hugged him, trying to kiss him but his tall height stopped her from doing so.
"A person who would rather live without seeing your public display of affection" Jerome heard his brother's voice who had a mocking tone to it and muttered to himself, "Stupid idiot"
"Get out of the kitchen and come into the living room now! Before we eat all the food!!" Julie yelled as a bait to get everyone to the dining table.
That did the trick as everyone came immediately. "Alright! Let's eat!" Julie said.
As they ate, everyone talked about random things. "The food is amaze ballsss!!!" Bethany exclaimed with joy.
"Hell yeah!" Josh yelled as they both high-fived one another. Everyone chuckled at their enthusiasm
What a family I have, Joslyn thought, looking at everyone at the table.
