Third person's pov
When Josh saw his brother there, he knew he was doomed. There was no point hiding at this time.
He had to either come clean or act dumb. However, he knew otherwise. His brother was the best at forcing the truth out and he couldn't keep a secret.
"Spill the tea" Jerome mocked him as the two brothers settled down into the chairs. Meanwhile, the three girls were out getting to know each other.
"Okay fine yes I got a girlfriend" He admitted, a little embarrassed. "When did you get together?" Jerome asked, trying to pry from him.
"About 2 weeks. We known each other for a year though" He continued, explaining. They had some bro talk, hugged it out before finding their girls.
Meanwhile:
The three of them were chatting and getting to know one another. Turns out, they were more similar than they thought.
All of them loved the color purple, loves dogs, prefers spring over any season and donuts are their favorite dessert.
As time passed, they got more invested, walking around the garden to admire while talking.
To the boy's surprise, each of them had gotten closer than they had expected. They were not expecting such closeness between them since they just met but it did happen.
"Hey yo" Jerome said, ruffling his sister's hair before turning his attention to the potential new member of the family.
"Hello Mair. Nice to meet you. I'm Jerome the best favorite child among everyone here. As those words left his mouth, protests from both of them.
"Nuh uh!! I'm the best sibling and mom and dad's favorite" Joanna shot back, childishly sticking her tongue out though she was the middle child. She was 15 minutes older than Josh.
"I'm their favorite of course. After all I'm the youngest" Josh retorted towards his older siblings.
Mair couldn't help but laugh at her boyfriend. Her boyfriend. Although it had been 2 weeks, she still felt like a dream. She had always had a crush on him and turns out, the feelings were mutual.
Joslyn on the other hand was blatantly admiring her boyfriend. It was nice to see him so happy and relaxed with his family.
The two significant others looked at their family banter in awe. It was a very cute moment for their family.
They decided to snap some pictures of their playful banter, keeping it as a good memory.
"Alright alright! Come on, enough of your banter!" Joslyn chided, breaking off their argument.
They obliged Joslyn's request and decided to help Mr and Mrs Winters with the garden.
The girls were planting a bunch of new flowers and tending to the old ones while the boys were helping the old couple transport some soil.
The soil was too heavy for them to carry due to old age. After that, they helped weed out whatever they could find.
Josh being the prankster, decided to dump some soil on Jerome's perfectly crisp and white shirt. No clue as to why he wore that at a place where clothes get dirty easily.
Slowly and stealthily, he walked over to where Jerome was, who was concentrating when he felt somethings fall from the top and down.
He was stunned by the unexpected action and took a minute to compose himself before trailing off to return the favor back to Josh.
"You little piece of shit! Get back here you stupid fu5k!" Jerome yelled in frustration, alerting the girls who were peacefully planting flowers.
"Boys will be boys" Joanna said, a 'done' tone to it. Although there was a loud commotion, the girls turned a blind eye to them.
The older couple was lounging around the house, drinking some tea and relaxing when they heard noises.
"Sometimes I wonder why we allow them here" Mrs Winters said to her husband who chuckled. "I agree"
Mrs Winters decided to call up their good old friends and spilled the tea on the kids. A little revenge didn't hurt nobody.
Despite this, they still enjoy their company. They didn't have kids and they cherished the times they had with them. With a new person, Joslyn, joy filled their hearts.
"KIDSSSSS!!" The Turner kids heard a familiar voice yelling. Their parents were here and they were unprepared.
First being that their boy's girlfriend were here and they hadn't even let their parents know. Knowing their mother, they would be hearing an earful.
However, the girls obviously had no idea except for Joanna who knew what her brothers were going through in 3, 2, 1:
"JEROME KEY TURNER AND JOSH NATHAN TURNER!!
Why did I hear from Mr and Mrs Winters that you boys have a girlfriend!?" Julie exclaimed. As much as she loved her sons, they could be the death of her at times.
"Come on, let's do this" Jerome muttered to Josh who was silently praying for nothing bad to happen.
"Key huh" Joslyn joked. "Didn't know your middle name was Key" Jerome just nodded sheepishly.
"Mom and Dad this is Joslyn, my girlfriend" Jerome introduced. "And this is my girlfriend Mair" He followed suit.
"Hi Mr and Mrs Turner! It's nice to meet you" Mair expressed her joy. Since Josh and Joanna wanted to start a new company, thats how they met one another.
Gabriel having pop by a few had seen Mair around and could see the *cough cough* sexual tension thus it was not a surprise to him.
"Oh honey just call me Julie and my husband Gabriel" Julie chided her. Despite the first meeting, there was no awkward tension between them.
"Ah and we all know who you are! Same thing!Call us Julie and Gabriel respectively" Joslyn smiled at the warm gesture towards her and already felt like she was part of the family.
"Come on, let's go for lunch!" Gabriel said to which everyone followed suit, into the cottage they go.
It was beautiful inside and out. It was very simple yet had a comfortable feel to it. On the dining was an array of food.
The simplicity of the food made things even better. It tasted like home almost, something Joslyn rarely had.
As the time went by, it was time for them to leave but a promise they would return. Of course the couple held on to the promise before bidding everyone goodbye.
"Bye!!" Everyone said their respective goodbyes to everyone as they got into their separate cars.
"Thank you so much for today. I loved it"Â Joslyn said to Jerome softly, a tint of pink on her cheeks.
"No problem honey. I love you" She couldn't fight back her smile at Jerome's sweet gesture.
"Come on, I have one last surprise for you" To which Joslyn's eyes almost popped out of the sockets.
"Here you go" He dangled the satin cloth again and she groaned. "Please" He used the infamous puppy eyes on her and she couldn't refuse and nodded.
He led her into the car and sat in comfortable silence. It was just a five minutes drive from the garden.
Joslyn was slightly surprised by the speed. She was expecting a 20 minutes drive. "Ready?" He asked, breaking her out of her thoughts. "Yes" And with that, the cloth was removed.
"It's so pretty!" She gushed at the stars surrounding them. She wasn't a big fan in stars but these were so beautiful. It was too hard to not admire them.
"Thank you really" She expressed her gratitude for the umpteenth time. They spent a good ten minutes just looking.
"Come on sweetheart, it's late and time to head home now" Jerome hinted to her and stuck his hand out which Joslyn reciprocated.
Today was awesome, she thought.
