Joslyn's pov
Wedding planning is hectic. It might look simple to you but let me tell you, it's a workout. In a week would be Mr and soon to be Mrs Kayes wedding.
Almost everything was done. We just had the bride and bridesmaids dresses left. Mrs Kayes/ Ms Rain wanted to pick her dress with her bridesmaids therefore it was pushed back a lot.
We were currently at Sydney's boutique, Syd and Thread's. Kinda good and fresh. The vibes was by the sea since they planned the wedding on her beach.
A blue/teal color would most likely be the color for the bridesmaid's. After much deliberation, they settled on an off the shoulder burgundy dress with spaghetti straps.
For Ms Rain, it took awhile to figure out what she wanted but ultimately this dress won everyone's hearts.
It was a super pretty pink/white color with floral detailing on it. The dress hugged her curves and safe to say everyone said yes to the dress.
"Now everything is all set! Any final changes or ideas you want to implement for the wedding?" I enquired, hoping for a no. Some clients have either atrocious ideas or last minute ideas which are not feasible. Thank the lord she said no.
It was about 2pm when I finally reached my office. Dress shopping was tiring but fun at the same time. For all the dude's suits, two of my employees are helping them. They were back awhile ago.
What's for lunch? As that thought popped up in mind, my stomach couldn't help but let out a rumble. The last time I ate was 8am. 6 hours of nothing being consumed in my body. I couldn't help but rest my eyes for awhile. Totally not sleeping. Pshh.
"Lunch?" A familiar and husky voice brought me back to reality. Opening my eyes, I saw a tree. Just kidding. It's my sexy and hot ass of a boyfriend. Damm he's hot, I thought to myself. Or so I thought...
"Thanks babe. I know I am" He teased. "Dammit I said that out loud" I cursed myself for speaking too much sometimes.
"Yup you should" He continued with his teasing like there was no tomorrow. I just pouted and stared at him.
"So lunch?" He prompted again, waving a bag of food from my favorite Thai place. I know I'm basic but I love me some pad thai and prawn cakes.
"Wait a minute... How do you know what I get?" I began questioning. To be honest, I knew he probably asked from my brother or Sydney
but why not?
"Erm... your brother" He replied, a little stunt with my question. After that we munched on the delicious food, Jerome bid me goodbye and he left to return back to his work but not before giving me goodbye kiss.
The next few hours I didn't have much to do so I instead packed my office. It wasn't the neatest to say the least. I had clothes strewn over the floor, files were poorly organized on the shelfs, you get it, it's basically a pigsty.
And I felt so much better after that, I had felt more refreshed than ever with how clean my office looked, but me on the other hand now looked like a pigsty in human form.
Thank the lords it was around 5pm when I finished. I had to get ready for your little dinner date or whatever you want to call it.
Skimping through my newly organized wardrobe, I found a piece that stood out to me. A floor length sleeves black dress.
I was waiting for Jerome since we were heading for our dinner date. All he told me was to wear something fancy so I just changed into this.
Seeing the text from Jerome, I made my way down to the entrance and saw his car. Off we went to whatever destination we are heading to.
We finally arrived at another new fancy restaurant, Hush and eat. Such a cute name! He brought us to this cute Japanese restaurant where there was seats with belts to get the sushi by yourself. I freaking love this sh!t. Amazeballs!!
"OMG!! I love this so much!" I couldn't help but act like a kid who came here for the first time. He just chuckled at my child like behavior as we were brought to a seat where the belt was just in front of us. Even better!!
This was my first time here and I definitely will be coming back. Definitely would have to bring my family back here.
We just decided to eat just sushi only since its rice which keeps us full. It was amazing! "Let's have dessert?" Jerome suggested as I nodded. We decided to head to an ice cream parlor nearby for ice cream, duh!
"How is it?" He asked as he continued savoring the flavors of the ice cream. "Remember when I came to your place to see you eating like a pig. Snort snort" He teased, making a pig like face.
My cheeks grew slight pink as he mentioned what happened the other time. Mortification filled my face as I remembered what happened.
"Ya... about that. Let's just forget about it okay? Look at the sky, there are some clouds up there..." I trailed off but I found myself getting stupider and stupider. It was night time already so there were no 'clouds' around.
Damm, I suck at this, I thought. We begin chatting mindless things as we ate ice cream. However, I was still contemplating to tell him about my actual family background.
He roughly knows but it's not a lot. I want to be truthful but it's hard. Though I trust him a lot, like a lot, it is still kind of hard to tell him. After all, who knows? He would probably be disgusted and hate me for being related to such vile creatures for all I know.
It could be my mind playing tricks on me, but who knows?
Only time will tell.
