"Daddy..." Soft giggles filled my ears. Small soft hands tapped my chest and face. I was tired but the giggles and the chuckles made me slowly open my eyes.
It was my little princess. She was sat on my chest with her pink pyjamas on. Her hair was all over the place and her smiled widened when she saw me open my eyes.
Our little Aurora was almost two years old. Her wavy brown hair was falling down to her shoulders, it was the same as Zaria's hair. But her eyes turned out to be like mine. Light brown that shined on the sun.
She was a very smart and intelligent kid. She loved sparkly things and I loved spoiling her with everything she wanted. All of my money was spent on her. Her toys, her clothes, her art supplies...everything.
Her light brown eyes went from me to Zaria who was sitting next to me.
She looked fucking gorgeous in her crop top and pyjama shorts. Her growing belly was bigger and bigger everyday.
Zaria was pregnant again. Even though she said she wanted to wait and not have babies so soon, we ended up here. She was in her sixth month and she looked better than ever. Her long hair was shiny and her face was glowing and chubby.
She was carrying twins.
Yes, twins.
When the doctor told us we were both shocked and scared. I mean two babies at once? That was going to be a challenge.
We already had experience with Aurora, so we'll make it work. I'll do my best in doing whatever it takes, so Zaria wouldn't feel the difficulties.
She was so excited. Buying matching clothes and accessories. Every time she went out, she would return with bags filled with baby clothes.
For this pregnancy we decided to ask about the gender and she was carrying two little boys. After our little girl, we were going to have two sons.
"Happy anniversary, Leo." Zaria said at me, flashing me her heart warming smile. Today was our two year's anniversary. Aurora stood up on the bed and started jumping.
"Baby stop, you'll fall." Zaria reached for Aurora but I stopped her.
I grabbed Aurora and took her in my arms. "Let's brush our teeth and not make mommy worried. Okay?" She nodded and circled her tiny hands around my neck and buried her face in my chest.
We got off from the bed and I placed a kiss on Zaria's head.
"I'll go and start preparing breakfast."
"Okay, we'll be right after you. I'll help you baby. Don't tire yourself." She shook her head and chuckled.
"Leo, I can do it myself." I shushed her, I didn't like when she worked a lot. She even persisted to work at her store but she saw that she couldn't do it and that her legs hurt if she stood still for too long.
"Okay, okay." She left the room and me and Aurora went to the bathroom. I sat her on the counter and took her toothbrush and squeezed some paste on it and did the same to mine.
She grabbed her brush and while brushing my teeth I helped her as well. Then we washed our face and I styled her hair in a ponytail. She had short hair, but I was still able to style it.
"Let's get you to your mommy till I take a shower. Okay princess?" I lowered her on the floor and took her little hand in mine and we walked towards the kitchen.
I heard Zaria humming to a song and she swayed her hips while flipping the pancakes for Aurora.
Her hair was down and it reached down her lower back. It was clipped half up and the bangs fell over her forehead.
My wife looked fucking gorgeous.
Her eyes lifted and she looked our way. Aurora ran to her and hugged her legs. I slowly walked towards them and stepped behind Zaria, sneaking my arms around her and placing my hands on her belly.
I buried my head in her neck and sighed. I loved her so much. I couldn't get enough of her. My two girls were everything to me.
Days spend together, just us at home were my favourite. Seeing them laughing and smiling made my heart swell with joy and pride.
They were mine. Mine to love and mine to protect. I couldn't wait for our little sons to run in our house as well.
Ever since I was young, I wanted a big family and I was finally having it. With the woman of my dream.
Zaria always felt out of reach for me. She was someone I could only dream about.
But now? She was here, with me. And iI couldn't be happier.
"Try this." She cut a tiny piece of the pancake and held the fork for me to try. I hummed as soon as the flavour hit my taste buds.
"It's amazing."
"A new recipe I saw online and I wanted to try it." I kissed her temple and lifted Aurora on the counter, after placing a kiss on her miniature nose, I went to the bathroom to take a shower.
After I was done, I dressed in black sweatpants and navy t-shirt. I pushed my damp hair back and got out.
The table was already set and Zaria was feeding Aurora. I pulled the chair and sat next to them. "I'll feed her, you eat."
Zaria started eating her food while I helped Aurora finish her plate.
We planned to have a small picnic in our backyard. I had montaged a project screen, we were going to have an outdoor cinema.
When it was dinner time. Me and Zaria prepared Aurora's favourite snacks and drinks and took them outside. I laid the blanket, threw big pillows on the ground, and took the food and placed it on the small wooden table.
We were going to watch our wedding day video, because our little princess loved to watch her mom in a wedding dress.
We sat on the pillows. Zaria was dressed in a casual beige dress that showed her belly and clutched the her breasts and arms. It was knee length and her wavy hair was down.
Our little princess had the same dress and her hair was in a small buns. She was running around and laughing while I fixed the projector.
"Be careful sweetie." Zaria warned Aurora.
When I fixed everything, I ran after Aurora and lifted her in my arms, she giggled and stayed glued to me, afraid of falling. "There you are you little rabbit. You're so fast." I kissed her cheeks and we walked towards Zaria.
We played the video and eat our food. Aurora was always mesmerised of her mom on our wedding day. And so was I.
Nothing compared to Zaria's beauty.
The video was playing, the backyard was decorated with fairy lights, because I knew they loved them. There were a lot of pillows and blankets.
Now it was time to watch Aurora's favourite cartoon. Tom and Jerry.
Not a day has passed that we didn't watch it. It was her favourite and of course we had to listen to every one of her requests.
I scooped her in my arms and laid her on my chest. Zaria was the next one to lay on my other side and I had both my girls in my embrace.
This was happiness for me.
Before them I had everything I wanted. From clothes, cars, houses, vacations, but I was alone.
What use did I had of my millions dollar penthouse when I barely spent my time there. I was always at work, earning that money that I was not even spending properly.
Growing up, I started to love being alone. My parents, my siblings were never there and I got use to it. I thought I love being on my own, but now...
I realise how lonely I was.
Being with Zaria showed me how lonely and pathetic my life was before.
I had so much yet so little.
Having my girls in my arms made me feel like the richest man on earth. And I wouldn't change it for anything.
