Mary couldnât believe what she was seeing as she took Victoriaâs phone and saw the document namedafter todayâs date.
She opened the document and saw that it renamed Austin to Mr. G and herself to Miss MD, narratingthe love and hate between the two.
The language was simple and crude, filled with vulgar and obscene words.
Words like âbreasts,â âbuttocks,â and other provocative terms made Maryâs vision go dark.
The document told the story of a hostess, except this hostess was high-class, exclusively entertainingthe members of the five great families of Clance.
This hostess seduced Mr. G repeatedly during the festivities and later found her way to his room, pleading sorrowfully to get Mr. G to agree to a
collaboration between their families.
The indecent jokes written above were almost too
much to bearâ¦
Mary read on, her fingers trembling with anger as she felt as if she had been stripped bare. Althoughshe knew full well she hadnât done such things, the writing was convincingly realistic.
The document even specified the private room number of the hotel where the contract was signed, andwhat was more, there was a comment section below where someone anonymously provided evidenceconfirming that on that day, the Davis family and the Gll family indeed discussed a collaboration there.
Mary and Austin were indeed in that private room that
dayâ¦
And someone came forward to testify, claiming to have seen Mary and Austin get into a car togetherafter the
meal!
Mary felt a rush of frantic breaths and suddenly looked up, wanting to explain something, but thoughshe opened her mouth, she found herself unable to speak.
She instinctively glanced at Ellis.
The others looked at him as well.
James couldnât help but say, âEllis, Mary has been
exposed doing such things. We need to provide an explanation to the public!â
Benjamin immediately nodded. âThis matter canât be left as is. Mary, do you actually have that kind ofrelationship with Austin?â
Mary hurriedly shook her head. âNo.â
Victoria then asked, âIf not, why are there testimonies from the hotel staff? Mary, considering the timing, this child could be Austinâs. Itâs not Ellisâs, right?â
Upon hearing this, James thought about the report of azoospermia and subconsciously looked at Ellis, only to see his elder brother gripping his cup tightly.
He remained silent.
Benjamin immediately turned to Ellis, âEllis, it canât be, can it? This child isnât really Austinâs, is it? Ifthatâs the case, we canât let this child be born! Otherwise, how much more shame would the Olsenfamily suffer?!â
James also nodded in agreement. âRight, we canât keep this child! Ellis, we might as well make it looklike an accident and have her lose the child, that would be
hatter for Quervonola ronutation and quan if we canât
suppress this scandal now, itâll quiet down after some time. But if we keep the child, there will alwaysbe talk of a DNA test in the future, and the child will become a perpetual topic for outsiders.â
Victoria was astonished to hear this.
She looked at James in puzzlement, not understanding why he would say such things.
She couldnât help but frown and look toward Ellis again, only to see his expression cold and seeminglydifferent from the smiling Ellis she knew before.
She couldnât help but furrow her brow.
Could it be⦠Was this child really not Ellisâs?
With this thought, she spoke with irritation, âDonât like that. How could Ellis and Mary not know who thchildâs father is? It should be Ellisâs child, right? If we calculate the timing, Maryâs pregnancy is almostthree months along. Why donât we wait a few more days and run a DNA test? Wouldnât that solve it?â
James opposed. âWe canât do a DNA test!â
If they did, it would reveal that the child was not his
Ellisâs!
His reaction, however, made everyone turn their gaze
toward him.
Ellis seemed to sense something too, and looked
toward him.
James coughed. âI think having it done might actually be worse⦠but as of now, the best solutionindeed seems to be an abortion, after all, the origins of this child are unclearâ¦â
Mary heard their discussion, feeling as if the warmth from her entire body was being slowly drainedaway.
Incredulously, she looked at everyone in the room, her gaze sweeping over each younger member ofthe Olsen family, finally resting on Ellis.
She stared fixedly at Ellis. âI wonât have an abortion.â
Ellisâs expression darkened.
Even now, she was still protecting this bastard child. Perhaps its father wasnât Mr. G, but who could itbe that made her so defensive?
Ellisâs eyes gradually reddened.
He sneered, âItâs not me whoâs telling you to have an
abortion. Itâs because of the mess youâve created. If
you
donât have an abortion, how is the Olsen family supposed to explain this to the outside world?!â
Mary was stunned by his words.
Her jaw tensed, and she clenched her fists tightly. âEllis, this child is yours. What do I have thatâs sohard to explain? When Iâm three months pregnant, canât we just get an amniocentesis done?â
But Ellis suddenly stood up, âWithout resolving this issue, do you want to turn the Olsen family into thelaughingstock of the entire Clance?â
He approached Mary, lowering his voice, and said, âYou know very well whose child this is, why must Ibe the one to reveal it? Mary, Iâve said it, as long as you have the abortion, youâll still be the gooddaughter-in-law the Olsen family!â
Maryâs eyes rimmed with redness.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
She knew she had a bad reputation, but she hadnât expected it to lead to such suspicions.
She lowered her gaze. âThereâs no need for that. If the Olsen family feels shamed, Iâm willing to divorceyou, so I wonât cause the Olsen family any more
reputational trouble!ânovelbin
Leaving those words behind, she turned to leave.
But her wrist was suddenly seized by Ellis with a strong grip. âYou think you can just walk away? Andafter that? The Olsen family will become the biggest joke in all of Clance!â
Mary attempted to break free from his grasp, shouting angrily, âThen what do you want to do?â
Ellis stared at her intently.
His gaze then fell on her abdomenâ¦
Heâd been disgusted with this child for a long time. If Mary wanted the baby, he could have thought ofother solutions, but he couldnât stand Maryâs actions in protecting the child!
All those abject pleas made him feel like the childâs father was very important to her!
Ellis gave a bitter smile.
He knew that after today, Mary might hate him, but he simply couldnât carry on like this, so let it be!
Even if she hated him, she would have to spend her life with him!
Ellis directed his gaze to a servant nearby. âGo brew a
bowl of abortion concoction.â
The servant was startled but immediately nodded and
left.
Mary, incredulous, widened her eyesâ¦
She clenched her fists tightly, looking at Ellis in astonishment. âEllis, donâtâ¦â
âMary, the abortion drug works quickly. After you take it, that evil seed will be gone, and afterward, Iâlltreat you very wellâ¦â
Ellis, however, held her tightly, refusing to let her go.
