Keira was perplexed but quickly rushed to untie the
person.
Lewis watched her, a smile lurking in his eyes. âKeera may have kept a low profile from a young age,but indeed, she never learned martial arts. Keira, youâve given yourself away.â
Keira untied the tie from the manâs hand, her eyes teasing as she looked at him. âMr. Horton, I donâtunderstand what youâre talking about.â
âIs that so?â
Lewis moved his wrist and walked over to sit on the
sofa in the master bedroom, his gaze still fixed on her
Keira felt somewhat uncomfortable under his scrutiny
and lowered her head, continuing. âMr. Horton, isnât it inappropriate for you to come here so late?â
Lewisâs eyes drooped, yet a smile crept into them. âMiss South resembles my late wife, and I miss herterribly, so I came for a visit. I hope you donât mind.â
Keira said, âDo as you please!â
She ignored Lewis and started searching the master bedroom, eager to find the diary Mary mentioned.
However, having lived in this master bedroom for a month, she had never seen it. How could shepossibly
find it now?
Keira stood in front of the desk, staring pensively.â
Where would Keera hide a diary?
She had already looked through the wardrobe, and nothing was there.
The desk and various drawers were also empty.
This past month, she hadnât only been caring for Howardâs mother and diligently cleaning the houseevery day, but she had also been searching for any information about Keera.
She wanted to uncover her secrets.
But she had already cleaned and cleared out everything in the house, looked through Keeraâs moremundane diaries, and found nothing out of the ordinary!
If it hadnât been for Mary mentioning today that Keera had a locked diary that she never showed toanyone.
â
she wouldnât even know such a thing existed.
She felt around on the bed and checked under it⦠still

While she was pondering, the deep voice of Lewis
suddenly filled the room. âWhen I was a child and wanted to hide something, I would usually bury it inthe ground.â
Bury it in the groundâ¦
Keira abruptly turned her head, her gaze landing on the small garden of the villa.
The villa had its own small yard, and Keera liked to plant flowers, so in a corner of the yard, she keptsom different varieties of flowers and a treeâ¦
Keira abruptly stood up and strode outside.
Amy and the maid had already gone to bed, as for Mary, she hadnât come out from the guest room.
Keira took the garden shears and went to the tree, stepped around arbitrarily, and suddenly noticedthat the soil in some area wasnât as soft, feeling rather hard!
She immediately started digging with a small shovel.
After just a few digs, she saw a metal box.
The box wasnât large, just the size of a book, and there was no lock on the box.
Keira dropped the shovel, took out the metal box,
dusted it off, and then opened the box to find a notebook with a floral cover, the kind readily available instationery stores, lying quietly inside.
The notebook had a small lock on it, but the key wasnât
inside the box.
Keira fell silent for a moment, reburied the box, then went back upstairs to the bedroom. She was aboutto close the door when she realized Lewis was right
behind her.
Keira almost forgot about that damn man.
She rolled her eyes and went inside.
Lewis then said, âThe key might be quite difficult to findâ¦â
Keira couldnât help but glance at him. âWho said Iâm looking for the key?â
Lewis was taken aback.
Then he saw Keira take scissors from the side and with a âsnip, snip,â cut the notebook free from thelocked
part.
Lewis was speechless.
After Keira did all of this, she opened the notebook and found everything was intact, finally letting out asigh of relief.
But she didnât look at the things her sister had left behind right away; instead, she turned to Lewis. âMr.Horton, arenât you planning to leave? Breaking and entering is a crime, you know.â
âIs that so?â
Lewis took a step forward, coming up to her.
Suddenly, he bent down, lowered his head, and
embraced her into his arms.
Keira wanted to struggle, but Lewis said, âIf you push me away, that will prove youâre Keira, not Keerabecause Keera wouldnât have the guts.â
Keira was perplexed.
She stopped moving.
Indeed, if Keera were in her shoes, given the mismatch in their status with Lewis, she would only try toplease him, fear himâ¦
As she was thinking, the man suddenly lowered his head and buried it in the nape of her neck, hisbreath spraying on her skin, making her itch. She felt as though ants were crawling all over her body, stirring her heart into chaos.
She pushed at Lewis, pretending to be like Keera. âMr. Horton, donât do thisâ¦â
But Lewis spoke again. âDonât do what? Last time at the Oceanion Hotel, you didnât reject me likethisâ¦â
Keira stiffened.
Then Lewis reached out and caressed her cheek. âKeira, last time, this is how I undid your clothesâ¦â
With a tug at her waist, the robe instantly fell to the
floor.
Keiraâs pupils contracted, and she instinctively covered her body, but Lewis grabbed her arm. âYoudidnât
refuse me last time eitherâ¦â

After saying that, he bent down, pressing Keira back, step by step, they reached the bed, and helooked down at her. âYou were very cooperativeâ¦â
Keira said nothing.
The man lowered his head, coming closer, his hot breath making Keiraâs heartbeat speed up.
However, he made no further move and stopped at her neck. âKeira, are you that cruel? Wonât you talkto
O
His voice was filled with grievance, bewilderment, and incomprehension.
It was heart-wrenching.
Keira knew she couldnât hide it anymore.
She slowly lowered her gaze
After a long while, she chuckled softly, pushing Lew away, and put her robe back on. âEven if I do that,wh
then?â
When Lewis heard that, he saw her finally admitting it, and he was stunned in place.
He chuckled softly, but his eyes reddened again.
He was certain the person before him was his beloved, but as long as Keira refused to admit it, he wasfilled with dread, afraid that he had mistaken someone else
for her.
That was why he kept coming to look for her.
This past month, he had also watched her from afar countless times.
Watching her play Keera with flawless precision, there were moments when he wondered if he reallyhad mistaken her identity.
Until this very moment.
The heart that had been hanging in suspense finally
settled down.
It was herâ¦
It truly was herâ¦
He was about to say something when he saw Keiraâs back turned to him; her gaze was filled withstrands of complexity and reluctance. âYou couldnât bear to watch your old flame die, and I couldnâtpossibly tolerate you being with other women like some might. Since thatâs the case, why are you sopersistent about
who I really am? Weâre still getting a divorce, arenât
we?â
Upon hearing this, Lewis took out the ring from his
pocketâ¦
