Chapter 3: Chapter 3 Teleportation Talent

‘Did he just use Teleportation?’

‘What? Teleportation? Isn’t that one of the rarest abilities that humans awaken?’

Aidan and other watchers observed Leo’s sudden disappearance, making them shocked.

‘Teleportation ability?’

Zac and his uncle Seth were also equally shocked because it was rare to see someone with a ‘Teleportation’ talent.

As he spoke, Dominic revealed a slight smile, “Shall we enter the city now?”

“Yes…yes. Let’s go.”

Seth was asked by the head of the family to take good care of these members. So, he didn’t bother to ask any questions about Leo’s sudden disappearance as he guided them into the city.

‘Teleportation? Is he thinking of helping her?’

As Leo’s group followed Seth into the city, Zac looked in the direction of Serpent caverns and silently muttered to himself.

‘I doubt he will do it. I heard mercenaries will not bother about anything unless they are paid.’

Zac wiped his tears as he revealed a slight smile and silently thought, ‘Even if he was thinking of saving her, by the time he reaches there, she will be devoured by those snakes.’

In Serpent caverns,-.

‘Am I going to die here today?’

A young woman was cowering in fear in one corner of the cavern as she hid behind a boulder.

She was wearing a long green coloured gown which was completely covered in dust.

‘I still have one more beast deterring serum but will it really save me?’

Looking at the small bottle in her hands, Julia asked herself as she wiped her tears.

Hiss~

Suddenly, a hissing sound came from the distance, making her shiver.

A few hours back, Julia felt like she was living in a dream because she was getting married to the person she loved or thought she loved because of his caring actions.

What’s more, he was a direct descendent of the Ambermane family.

‘But he is….’

However, she was heartbroken when she remembered how Zac pushed her into the serpent caverns.

Nevertheless, she didn’t want to die just because she was heartbroken; instead, she wanted to get out of this place and know why he wanted her dead.

‘Looks like I can’t get my revenge in this life.’

After a few minutes, she used the final ‘Beast deterring serum’ in her hands and waited for a miracle to happen.

She wanted to do something to get out of the Seperent caverns; however, these caverns were filled with thousands of mutated snakes and the moment she makes walks out of her safe place, she would be killed by them.

‘Swoosh’

‘Please be safe, Julia. Just for a few more minutes.’

In the wilderness, Leo headed in the direction that Zac and his team came from.

With a few seconds gap, he would use ‘Teleportation’ and instantly travel nearly a kilometer.

‘Where are these damned caverns?’

After using his talent, Leo would pause to check for the Serpent caverns before teleporting once again.

‘Rumble’

‘Swoosh’

If he didn’t find the serpent caverns, he would leave the cracks on the ground where he was standing.

It showed how anxious he was to find Julia.

‘If something happens to Julia, then I can’t face Joel.’

Leo continuously teleported as he thought about his friend and his promise to him.

In Serpent caverns,

Time continued to pass as the beast’s deterring potion effects started disappearing.

‘It is useless to hide here anymore. Instead of dying here while waiting for any external help, I should take my chances in leaving this place.’

Finally, Julia steeled her heart and slowly stood up from her hiding spot.

Hiss~

As she walked out of her hiding place, the excited hissing sounds resounded in the caverns as all the mutated snakes rushed towards Julia.

‘They are really sensitive to sound.’

Julia clenched her tiny fists as she rushed towards the exit of the serpent caverns.

‘I can do it…I can do it.’

Julia encouraged herself as he increased her speed towards the exit, which was yet to appear in her sight.

‘There it is.’

After running for a bit, Julia finally found the exit as she felt hopeful again.

‘Swoosh’

‘Thud’

However, a giant mutated snake appeared out of nowhere and stood before the exit.

‘A rank 6 mutated beast?’

Looking at the six beads on the head of the enormous snake, Julia guessed the rank of the mutated snake in front of him.

After the appearance of the monsters, almost all the native animals mutated and became mutated beasts. Humans classified the mutated beasts into various ranks, starting from rank 1 to 10.

Rank 1 mutated beasts are the weakest, whereas the rank 10 mutated beasts are equivalent to Supreme heroes and are the strongest.

‘Is this how I am going to die?’

When she saw the rank 6 mutated serpent, Julia lost all her hope as she fell to the ground.

Hiss~

After the mutation, the animals’ intelligence and ferocity increased a lot as they liked to see the despair in the eyes of their prey.

The giant serpent slowly moved its head closer to Julia while sticking its forked tongue out.

‘Sob’

Julia could not handle the pressure anymore as tears unconsciously rushed out of her eyes.

Hiss~

Even though the giant serpent could swallow Julia in one gulp, it didn’t have any intention to do that so soon.

Hiss~

As though the giant serpent enjoyed tormenting Julia, it ordered its minions to enjoy the meal.

For a rank 6 mutated serpent, devouring a newly ascended rank 4 hero would not benefit it. So, it decided to leave Julia for its underlings, who get benefitted from consuming a rank 4 hero like her.

Hiss~

After receiving orders from their leader, all the snakes became excited and jumped at Julia as though they could not wait to devour her.

‘Brother Joel, I can’t wait for you to return any more.’

Surrounded by thousands of snakes, Julia gave up on the thought of getting out of the Serpent caverns alive as she looked at the exit in the distance.

‘Swoosh’

Just as Julia gave up her hopes, she saw a human silhouette at the exit of the caverns, which disappeared and reappeared directly in front of her in a second.

“Who are…”

Julia was surprised by the young man’s sudden appearance; however, before she could realize what was happening, the young man pulled her into his embrace and muttered in a barely audible voice, ‘I am here.’
