I Scoffed " Well the Sodium bicarbonate present inside this oily ball of flour will definitely gives you constipation one day "
" Well either a way We will die then why refrain yourself of pleasureable stuffs " He stated with a grin.
I just gave him a blank stare already knowing well by pleasure what he actually mean.
"You- " I was interuppted in the middle by a shout coming from Innayat directing our attention turn towards stairs.
She was decending the stairs, exclaiming to her Mother " Mumma Shiva is here!!!! "

She reached the living room and ran straight to the entrance door ignoring everyone else, followed by her Mother and father who had a smile on their faces. I glanced at Ekaksh who has also stopped eating and was looking at me in anticipation.
I gestured him indicating let,s go to see that bastard. Ekaksh nodded his head, wiped his hand with napkin and both of us stroded towards the entrance with curiosity. As everyone came to oour view, we saw Innayat hugging a girl taller than her whose face we are unable to see since her back was facing us.
Okay she must be hugging some of her relative but where is her best friend? I made my eyes scan behind them to spot him but there was no guy present. I was confused but as Innayat broke the hug, addressed the girl with a name which left me dumbfounded and shocked.
" Shiva Thank God you were able to come. There is lot to tell you, I am soo excited " Innayat chirped while holding her hands and squealing.
Wait- What??! Hold on!! what's happening??? Her Best friend, that Shiva guy, who was the reason of my anger and jealousy all these days is a mere...girl??!!
I cannot believe what I am hearing and seeing. I, Divyansh Suryavanshi could be that stupid to be jealous because of a girl not a guy? I feels ashamed of even saying this and moreover I misinterpreted the gender?!
"WTF dude you were jealous of a girl !!!! Don't tell me You are still thinking of beating her " I was in Ocean of thoughts when Ekaksh,s range voice made me sober, I saw him who has fisted my collar angrily.
What the hell now?!why he is getting furious. And for what? Did he lost his brain somewhere due to shock?!!
I jerked his hand from my collar and murmured in irritation " Are you fucking serious?? I am not some girl abuser and I didn't know it's a girl and Who the heck name their daughter with boy name?! "
" Somehow I was able to wrap up the things before your wedding and wanted to surprise you so I phoned Aunty " Both of us heard that Shiva girl saying.
" What? Mumma you knew about it?" Innayat looked at her mother being astonished.
" Yeah I also informed your Dad to pick her up from Airport so she could come directly here, and we received her call that she has reached banglore airport around the time you went to remove haldi " Innayat,s Mother revealed with a smile.
"What the hell? You had been hidden here from me for so long. That's not fair you arrived in the afternoon but informed in just now " Innayat complained with a puffed cheeks. Aww my Sugar.
"Â So Innayat finally met her friend " Came from my mother, walking from entrance. So Even she knew about her arrival.
" You are Shiva right? " My father, who was also with my mother, asked
" No Uncle it's Shivangi. Actually This idiot is the only one who calls me Shiva " That girl Shivangi elucidated. Oh, it was only a moniker, and it deceived me for weeks. I mentally sighed thinking about weeks frustration.
" That's a nickname " Innayat retorted pouting but then showed her bare teeth smile.
"Yeah Yeah I got it. That's a perfect nickname beta " Dad said while laughing and Mom pinching Innayat,s cheek. Everyone began chatting to Shivangi, and I saw my Sugar ball approaching me with jumpy, excited steps.
I am not found of sweet but One day I will eat her because of craving.
Innayat walked over here and announced " Ansh lemme introduce to you one of my special person. Ekaksh bhai, you should also come and meet my Shiva," she urged, grasping my hand.
" Sugar Is she your that friend, whom you were calling flirt and got holy thread " I asked her to conformed
" Yes She is Shiva, my sister more than best friend I told you about in car. Why? What happen? " She asked innocently.
I merely shooked my head saying " Nothing let's meet her "
She smiled and we went to Shivangi who chirped excitingly after seeing me "Oh Is it Ansh jiju? Wow Jiju is more handsome in personal. My beautiful sister and her handsome husband Hayee what a perfect match made in heaven"
A sudden pride surged in me after hearing her. Of course we are perfect match, this friend of her really have good eye. I have already started liking her behavior , She is indeed sister of my Sugar therefore I've to treat he nicely.
" You are very Smart Miss Shivangi to state facts " I praised being impressed. Hmm my Sugar does have good folks around her.
" I am born smart. Even Doctors also got astonished by my brain size " She flipped her hairs dramatically and Innayat let out a giggle.
" Everyone let,s rest now. Also Divyansh you are not supposed to see Innayat before Wedding " My Mom remaked suddenly, making me confused.
" Mom who follows such rules? Such a old orthodox ways in modernization " I rolled my eyes. I am sure at this point, My mother is just trying to satisfy her grudges against me. The rituals are just an excuse.
" I do believe them and just because you are going to marry in short period doesn't mean I will let you abide the rules " Putting her arms folded, she spoke. As if I will listen to her and adhere this unreasonable ritual.
I stood there firmly , without moving from my position.
"All right, if you do not want to go. Innayat Beta~ Please go to your room. I will serve you food there. Mom turned to Innayat and implored sweetly to Innayat
Innayat nodded her head obediently " Goodnight Ansh " She Waved her hand and turned, climbing the stairs going to her room.
" What the hell Mom!! " I exclaimed in frustration but she ignored me paying attention to Shivangi. My nostril flared in irritation.
" Ekaksh- " I turned my head behind me but Ekaksh was not there. He was next to me a few time ago?
Then my sight shifted to Ekaksh, who was standing alongside Jaanki aunty. What is he doing between ladies? and He is talking without any grin or smirk. for once he is looking trivialize which I would've mistake for his normalcy if I wasn't aware of his nature.
I raised my eyebrow at him, but even after noticing my gaze, he royally ignored me. Such a Bastard!!!
I left them there and went in kitchen crossing the living room to fetch some food since I was hungry before. Atleast Now I know there is no leech existing or getting behind my Sugar.

WEEDING DAY
The whole farmhouse was dwelled into brightness as there was no place which left in darkness. The LED lights were rounded every piller and iron railings. I was seated on Mandap before the sacred fire and pandit ji was pouring something in fire which is to keep the flames I guess.
My mother and Jannki aunty is with Innayat who is still inside the bridal room and waiting to be summouned out by pandit ji. The Mandap was in the heart of the living room and red carpet was placed on staircase, with red and pink rose petals spreaded throughly on carpet for the grand entry of bride.
The ceiling is decorated with creamy rose shade curtains having Dahila and Daises Garlands pinned on them. It is in a circle shape the upper part filled with flowers and pairs of drapes hanging below.
My father and Mr Bedi were standing few meters away. All the guests and close relatives were present today are quite close to us even some relatives were not able to attend, Still There is large amout of people than I thought. Well what can I say? it's Indian family so it will be quite normal.
" Please Call bride " Pandit ji motioned with hands, looking at Mr Bedi
Mr Bedi went away to call Innayat while I stood from my place from mandaap to wait for my bride in mandap premises. My eyes were glaring the flames of scared fire where pandit ji was pouring oil and some black seeds.
I heard the small sounds of Anklet making my eyebrows frowned and I turned my head towards the stairs.
Here she was standing before me in Red bridal outfit and looking the most etheral thing I've ever seen. The red choli tugged inside of her skirt making its way from her back to front with few drapes and hanging from her right shoulder. The heavy Woven lehanga was spreaded, having silver and dark green designing of lace.
Her slender neck is adored with diamond neckpiece and a simple golden nath attached to behind her ear, hidden beneath hair strands in the end. She was wearing golden earrings and her henna stain wrist were having red Chooda which was red Bangles with golden karah between them.
She has dark red lipstick coated on her lips and her cheeks has mild peachy blush. Forehead had kundan pearl Mangtika hanging followed by micro red bindi. The Almond brown eyes were having dark black khol in them with curled eyelashes.
And Golden glittering eyeshadow Shimmered with hint of Orange pigmentation is wholesome combination.
The most beautiful part is she has opened hair, hidden in translucent dupatta making me forget everything around me. Her deliberately loosened curls on side of face, provoking an urging in me to touch them.
I dislikes the color red my whole life but not now, because " It's a color of my Goddess, her symbol of tying to me in pious bond , it is a color which would be symbol of our marital life , it's a color she is wearing while taking little steps and entering into my life, it's a color she is pouring on me and smearing me from head to toe in her shade, it's color of my love and I won't be able to dislike it again "
Mr Bedi placed her hand in mine and I was awestruck on my place. The delicacy of her henna stained hand against my big one did something to me, making the same electric surge rush which it did on that rainy day.

AUTHOR,S POV
" For someone who hated marriage, this kind of staring on his soon-to-be wife seems to tell whole different story than their prior words " Rahima whispered to Divyansh who was still frozen on his place with Innayat,s hand in his.
" Hmm " Divyansh didn't ponder on her words since he was bewitched by Innayat,s presence and the girl was peering around in timidness.
" Divyansh she will be yours after marriage you can stare as much as you want but at home. Now she will creep out if you stare longer. pandit ji is waiting to get you married, hurry up and finish your admiring session " Rahima teased her son
He snapped out of the daze and composed himself while Innayat casted her eyes down in shyness with a tiny smile. Both of them took their respective seats on Mandap.
Pandit ji began reciting mantras, followed by pheras in next line. As Shivangi had promised she was standing near the mandap while throwing flowers on couple along with guests, her eyes were filled with admiration.
After doing pheras, comes the turn of Sindoor and the nuptial chain. Divyansh tied nuptial chain around her neck and filled her hair partion with red sindoor.
And pandit ji stated that they were married and bound to one other for the next seven lives, which caused Divyansh's lips to curve into a smile. A bond for seven lives with his wife, guess what? he is willing to close the deal with any conditions.
When he turned around to get his shoes from edge, only to find the place empty. Innayat was wearing her heels but where is his shoes?? He wondered but a voice made him look in front.
" Jiju ?? Are you searching for these??" Came from Shivangi who was holding Divyansh,s shoes.
" Yes, So you were carrying my footwear, but why? Foget it, give it to me we've to move for dinner " Divyansh told her, why does she has his shoes instead of his Mom or Ekaksh, he started wondering.
Well even if he doesn't say but Ekaksh is his groomsman, some unsaid thing. He was also near Divyansh when he was waiting for Innayat to come down in mandap.

DIVYANSH,S POV
Shivangi gave a mischief smile to me? Huh? What does it mean? I saw Mom and Dad laughing a bit. What's going on?? She was still holding my footwear instead of giving back.
"Oh our innocent Jija ji, If you want shoes then you have to fulfill some of our demands " She exclaimed while crossing her hands, passing my shoes to Innayat,s little cousin brother whom I noticed now standing with Shivangi.
" And why would I? I don't think I,m obligated in anyways to do such stuff, Sali Sahiba " I raised an eyebrow asking her in same manner. What is happening? I am not getting.
" Yes you are obligated, It's a ritual if your shoes are stolen, you must pay us " She announced
Oh now I remembered this Jhoota chupai ritual was also there in weeding but I forgot about it. It is not my fault because I do not married every day to remember every other ceremony; an Indian wedding involves several regulations and customs, including many minor rites.
" But Groom side was supposed to hide the shoes as much as I know? " I told her and moved my questioning gaze at my mother. Isn't it weird they got my shoes so easily? Did not someone bothered to hide my shoes?
" Don't look at me. It is groom,s brother who is supposed to oversee this thing, means Ekaksh was the one who had this responsibility and also I told him to hide them " My Mom shrugged off.
I knitted my brows at Ekaksh who was standing there in his own world but snapped out it, when everyone,s attention went towards his direction.
" What? She stole it " He answered simply. But It's suspicious for me that he lost, there is something wrong in statement. Ekaksh Singh Rathore would not lose such a little game unless it was on purpose. But Why would he lost it intentionally??
" You can keep them. I am ordering new pair. Pankaj give my phone " I ordered Pankaj who had my phone but my mom stopped him, snatching my phone away.
" Divyansh You must comply with their demands now that you have lost your shoes. It's their right to get whatever they want" Mom concluded and folded her arms giving me glare.
" Shivangi Didi, They are branded shoes we can sell them to purchase your sports bike and VR game for me " yelled that teenager boy Subh , who is apparently Innayat,s cousin.
" Oye We are not the thieves that will sell stolen items in the underground market!!! We will get our joote chupai rasam amount. That,s all !!!" Shivangi hissed
" Are you sure Miss Shiva? Your are not some thief? " Commented Ekaksh in-between the negotiations, absurd of him to do something so out of character.
Shivangi ignored the comment and said " Don,t be stingy jiju and Hear our demands now- "
Before she could say anything further, I interrupted " Pankaj Order latest VR game set and sports bike on my name. Send the bill on my phone "
Shivangi got that shocked expression and said " Jiju What are you doing!!! Subh was balbering. We just wanted 10k, not some gift worth of lakh. It,s too expensive"
" Divyansh Suryavanshi doesn,t back off from his words. Since I am obligated to comply your demands. Why should not you get what you desire? These are also only little presents. I replied, it's truth these are such small gifts. Why are they becoming so concerned about their cost.
" Yes!!! Juju you are the best!!! " Subh jumped in excitement.
" But it's too much- " She attempted again, but was stopped off in the middle by my mother.
" Shivangi beta, accept the gift. it's not everyday Divyansh gifting someone. That also, you are his one and only sister-in-law, and it is your right to shoe rasam, which you cannot refuse. My mother interjected authoritatively.
" How can I?... " Shivangi was still contemplating.
" Shiva you were the one who wanted to buy Sports bike badly and now you are behaving shy even though it's my wedding and I should be shy " Interjected my beautiful, gorgeous and not less than Goddess wife with her more sweeter than honey voice. I can hear her chirping for whole day.
Okay, Divayash, you are acting out of character a little more these days.
" Ha Beta accept it " My mother and father-in-law persuaded her this time.
" Okay, everyone, I apologize for being so fussy at first. I am accepting it and thank you soo much jiju. Really you are the best " She told me with a polite smile.
Then came the moment where we walked on stage to take photographs with the guests, following which we proceeded to dine.
The dinner location features a dome of baby pink roses whose branches curved from one side to another making a beautiful bridge enveloped with yellow LED light like a small stars.
Under the bridge there was a long table , white candles blowing, covered from hollow glass which was opened from top and bottom for oxygen, candles orchestrated in a line with pots of flowers near them enamating pleasant fragrance.
White crockery plates were already placed with single napkins underneath each of them.
Everyone took the seats on hardwood chairs and waiters served the food to each of them. Some of them silently conversed while others busied themselves reveling in food.
My bodyguard served my plate.I took little bit of caprese salad and some roasted paneer with sauteed spinach. I am also having almond and walnut Banana smoothie. I especially order my bodyguard beforehand to get this food from resort since I can't sit here with an empty plate and I don't like what cuisine they are serving for dinner.
I didn,t instructed wedding planner to arrange separate meal for me because it was more convenient to ask my bodyguard.
After finishing smoothie and main dish, I was eating salad with fork when a slander henna hand moved, grabbed my plate, sliding it away and replacing it with Naan and spicy dal makhani.
I looked at her face being confused and astonished at the same time but she bited her cherry lower lips saying " this raw and bland food might be your favorite but you should eat real meal also, don't ignore your health in the name of dieting "
I care for my health that's why I am not eating this oil dripping Naan and chillies soaked dal makhani. But hold on.. did she just got worried about my health? She observed me And thought to serve me food from her own hands. That's soo sweet of her, I would rather eat her than food-
I cleared my throat wandering away train of thoughts and politely stated " I am done eating. I've no appetite "
Innayat blinked her eyes lashes, then gave me a death glare and with a tight lipped smile said " Chup Chap kha lo, varna ghar pohanch kar apki dal makhani bna dungi "
( Eat silently otherwise I will make your dal makhani after reaching home )
I gulped, nodded my head vigorously and she changed her expression, gave me her usual endearing smile praising " Good Mr Tyrant. See, how easy it was to say Yes. "
I don't know why she sometimes scares me. C'mon Divyansh what can this 5'2 petite girl could do to me? I can tie her easily to nearby if she is being persistent. But I don, get it...why I feel...kinda... intimidated by her in some way.
She focused back on her plate while
Reluctantly I ate a bit of spicy food and as I chew... damn I knew my spice tolerance is low and I can't eat it. But for my wife I have to.
I felt someone's gaze boring, making me stop in my track and looked up just to see mom gaping at me with wide eyes and hung mouth as if she saw a ghost.
She moved her eyeballs once on food serve on my plate before returning it on me blinking her eyes frantically. Goshhh this is so embarrassing, C'mon it's just a godamn food mom!!!
Dad shoved food in her mouth causing her attention shifted to him. My mom threw a side eye glare to him but he just grinned and kissed her cheek making her flush, they went to feeding each other. I rolled my eyes " The Wedding is mine yet Dad is the one, having more fun than me "
My eyes started to go red as soon as I finished the dish. I saw the one gulab jamun served to me and thought to have it for soothing my taste buds. But I saw Innayat eating one gulab jamun making my eyes narrowed.
I don't think it's enough for her. And I was right when I saw her sulking seeing now empty cup of gulab jamun. They should've served her more, How will she fill her heart with only single piece of gulab jamun.
" You want more? lemme me call waiter " I told her
" No don't!! That would be embarrassing and I am the bride so... don't. Everyone will say bride eats alot " She hissed looking around seeing everyone eating their food. she is having glint of hesitance along an urge to have more sweet, in her eyes. I took my gulab jamun placed it in her cup.
"It is alright, you can have mine," but damn, my mouth and eyes are burning from the spices. I took glass of water and gulped it in one go, but it didn't helped, not even abit.
" I don't like to share my food when only tiny amount is left, but take it as privileges of being my husband "
She remarked and I could see her henna hand gripped plastic spoon, red chooda tingling while she cutting the sweet piece into half, putting one of the slice in my empty paper cup.
I mentally chuckled seeing the girl who ate whole bowl of sweets all by herself on our official meeting. And today she is willing to share one gulab jamun so that's how your life is going to be Divyansh... a little bit sour....a little bit crunchy and more of all full of sweetness.
"Hey?! Where you lost? Shouldn't you say thanks atleast? And be grateful for having such a good wife " She uttered dramatically
I leaned to her side making her move back subtly this time with naive face " I am indebted I guess....for my entire life "
I whispered and gave a quick sheepish smile, moving back on my seat.
I focused on my slice of gulab jamun, but could see from my peripheral vision how a cute pout immediately formed on my wife,s face and how it is pulled there this time just to restrict any shy smile from escaping.
