The moment we entered our home , I took her in my hands and started swaying .
Alankrita : Ashwineyy .. slow down ... She screamed .
" Do you know how happy I am . " I kissed her beautiful cheeks loudly .
Alankrita : Veetla ellarkum solla vendama ?? Vanga ipove sollalam !!!!
" Wait .. wait .. I have a plan . "
Alankrita : Okay sollunga ..
I said her about the way we're going to inform our parents and waited till the time comes .
Alankrita : Ashwineyy .. I'm hungryyyy ..

She glared at me cutely , while I pulled her nose .

Alankrita : Apo make me some pizza .
" Done darling ".
I went to the kitchen to make her favourite pizza while she was resting on the couch , watching TV .
I prepared the pizza and kept it in the oven and returned back to the living area .
I sat next to her and pulled her towards my embrace and kissed her earlobe .
She was laughing whole heartedly watching a cartoon on the TV .
" How I missed you , Krita ! "
Alankrita : I'm sorry Ashwineyy ... Na ungale roomba kashta paduthiten le ? I didn't know .. my mood swings were fluctuating like anything .
" I can understand baby .. ipo I'm happy because my Azhagi is back to normal ! "
I kissed her eyes , while she grinned widely .
I went back and took out the pizza at the correct time without burning it , this time ð.
I fed her , while she ate like a baby watching cartoons , same as a mother who would feed their children once they're back from school .
It was 11.30pm and I decided to call our parents . I'm damn sure that they are sleeping right now .
On the call

Mom : Enna Achu .. indha nerathuku call pannirka? Anything important ???

Mom : Deii .. you just spoke with me today morning .

Me and Krita were having a good laugh at the bickerings of my mom as she had no clue about what we we're talking .
" Seri ma .. I'm feeling sleepy .. good night".
I cut the call ..

He cut the call .

Alankrita : Seri vidu Ashwineyy .. paavam avan. Modhala elarkum ozhunga sollalam vaanga .
I added everyone in a conference call and began ..
" Maa .. seriously ungaluku paati aagra vayasu vandhuduchu maa . "
Mom : Paati ellam ...
She was about to speak but went silent .
Mom : Achu ??? You mean ???
" Yes ma . Neenga paati aaga poringa .. We're gonna have a baby !!!!! "
She screamed as a response . Their happiness knew no bounds .
We did facetime with them and shared a piece of our happiness to them .
Vijay : Enaku ipove ungale paakanum pole iruku .
Alankrita : Enakum unga ellarum pakanum pole iruku .. Maa please come soon ..
Mom : Naalike vandhudrom Thangam . Don't worry . Ivan kooda epdi unna vidradhu ? Adhum indha time le??

We spoke for a long time and went back to sleep , hugging my fully contented wife , after a long time .
Our parents and my brother came the very next day , as promised . My mom made her everything she wished to eat .
Dad bought her everything , she craved for . While Krita and Vijay were being crime partners , attacking me .
It was high time , when my parents left . Vijay had to leave earlier for his racing .
Now , it was her 3rd month of pregnancy .
Her mood swings and cravings were at its peak !
I was in the living room , reading the daily while her heard a loud noise from our kitchen .
I rushed to the kitchen , only to find Alankrita there . But wait .
She was completely covered with wheat flour from head to toe .
I couldn't help but to laugh out loud by looking at this little duck .
Alankrita : Ashwin .. Sirikadheð
" Maa .. ayoo ðð enna ma idhu ?"
Alankrita : Mela irukra cookies eduka vandhen . Pakathula dho idhu iruku nu pakale ... Thalaila kottiduchu ..
She said pointing the bucket full of wheat flour which was now spread all through the floor .
She shook her head left to right like a small puppy , to dust away the flour from her head and looked at me with the same puppy eyes .
I laughed till my stomach hurts and went near her .
Alankrita : Please help me Ashwineyy ...
She said with her everlasting cutest pout .
The moment I reached near her , she took all the flour and rubbed it all through my body . She rubbed her face with mine and made me drench fully in flour .
I stood there glaring her while it was her turn to laugh out loud . I quickly grabbed her in my arms and lifted her .
Alankrita : You look so cute Ashwineyy ..
I took her to the restroom and helped her to wash herself and I cleaned myself.
I playfully splashed some water over her and that's it . Her bad mood started kicking her . She turned grumpy again .
But she didn't stay silent , instead she pulled my hair and bit me forcefully on my arms and cheeks . She's so wild sometimes .
" Aaaaaahh .. ma valikudhu "
Alankrita : Valikattum .
She went and sat on the bed , still grumpy .
I sighed because she still remained grumpy inspite of all my struggles to make her happy .
And there was only one way left , to make her happy now !
I slowly went away to the store room and went back to our room .
She looked at me sideways and widened her twinkling eyes .
" Naalu varshathukku munnadi paatha Ashwin uh marubadiyum paaka ready uh ??
She had all the excitement on her eyes , but refused to show it . She pretended to be angry .
I took my guitar in my hands , sat next to her . I rested the guitar on my thighs , my one hand adjusted the strings on the fretboard, while the other hand holder the plectrum near the sound hole .
I started playing the strings and started ..

She smiled a little this time . I took this chance and pulled her towards me and made her to sit on my lap . I gently placed the guitar infront of her , without hurting her now little grown up baby bump .
I took her hand in mine and placed over the guitar and started playing again . I could feel the heavy scent of her now . My face was on her shoulders . I gave a small peck on her nape.

Months flew away with bat of an eyelid .
It was her 5th month of pregnancy. Her weird food cravings grew more now .

I bought her as said and she ate like a woman who hasn't tasted food for days ! I couldn't help but smile .

Alankrita : Ada po ashwineyy .. unaku food uh rasichu saapdave therila !
Her cravings just didn't end here . She wanted pizza with jam , dark chocolate with tomato ketchup , dosa with chocolate sauce and many more .
We had to do the baby shower function for her 7th month of pregnancy now .
It was a simple function with our family alone , as she suggested it .
She was supposed to drape a saree , while I insisted in helping instead of mom .
" Maa .. neenga ponga ! I'll help her ."
Mom : Ahem ahem .. ena Achu ? Naanga lam inga irukom le ?
" Adaa ... Ponga maaa na pathukren !!!! "
I made everyone out of the room and closed it .
Alankrita : Ashwineyy.. you're embarassing me !!! Edhuku ipo amma ve veliya poga sonna ?
" Enna ma .. unaku help panlam nu vandhen . Na panna koodatha ? ð𥺠.
I asked with my base voice , which was her weakness obviously .
Alankrita : Ipdiye pesiye mayakkidu !
I grinned widely and helped her draping her saree .
I kneeled in front of her and adjusted the pleats of her saree . I was so busy in adjusting the pleats , while she made me stand up .
" Maa .. inum mudikale na "
She didn't let me complete my sentence and kissed me . It was soft and sweet . I could feel her hot tears flowing through her eyes .
I gently broke the kiss and wiped her tears and kissed her both eyes .
Alankrita : I'm so lucky to have , Ashwineyy !
" I love you , honey bun ! "
She giggled .
" Seri seri .. let me complete my work ".
I completely drapped her saree and took her out .
Everyone were awestruck with her beauty .
Mom : Yaaru kannum pada koodathu . Evlo Azhagu en Thangam !
She was smiling and crying in happiness widely all through the function .
Everyone wore bangles to her , sang songs , took photos .
And the beautiful baby shower ceremony came to an end .
I made her to get back to the room and gave her a parcel .

She quickly grabbed the parcel , changed and came back to the living room , making everyone gasp with her beauty .
It was a sleeveless, white floral mermaid frock . I went near her and kissed her forehead , while my whole family made weird ' 'oohh' sounds making us blush .
I carried her in my arms to our car and made her sit on the passenger's seat .

" Surprise !!! "
I drove at the speed of 20 making her frown .

" Ne indirect uh enna thitra maari iruke ma ".
Alankrita : Indirect uh ila ... Ungale dhan thitren .
I kept smiling and laughing , hearing her sweet complaints and scoldings . More to say , enaku vere vazhi theriyala ! ð¶
We soon reached the place where I have planned everything .
It was under the hilly areas on the grasslands , the same way she loved . Nature was at its best !
" Its our maternity photoshoot , Krita ! "
She hopped and hugged me , while I delicately handled her .
" Paathu ma ... " . I rubbed her baby bump gently .
We did the photoshoot for sometime and every picture was to be framed in the name of memory in our hearts .
We drove back to our home and were lying on the bed , speaking random things .
That was when , the baby kicked her tummy , while she squealed .
Alankrita : Ashwineyy .. your baby is kicking me so hard .
I chuckled and rubbed her tummy softly .
" Baby !! Please don't hurt amma !! Amma paavam le " . I then kissed her belly .
Alankrita : Ipove appa solradhu dhan kekudhu baby ! Apo veliya vandha ??
" Enaku dhan ma kashtam .. Rendu babies uh samaalikanum !"
Alankrita : Aama .. you're my Mom ! Apo nee dhan samaalikanum .
" Mom ??? "
Alankrita : Yes ashwineyy .. neenga enaku amma maari .. enna ungala vida nalla yaaralume paathuka mudiyathu . I swear .
I kissed her for a long time , as she made me emotional .
Days and months scrolled by .
Alankrita got her labour pain and we quickly rushed to the hospital .
She was taken to the labour room .
I saw doctors who were going to enter the labour room .
" Doctor .. I would like to be with her now ! "
Doctor : But Mr . You have to be very strong . You're allowed only if you can withstand to see the pain of her !
My mom , who was sitting came to me and said
Mom : Achu .. enna da ? Ne ulla poren nu solra ?
" Maa .. I can't undergo her pain , atleast I can be with her through this pain . Enaale mudinja andha pain eh na vangipen . I can't do that ! So please let me be with her . She needs me now !"
I went in along with the doctors and stood beside her , holding her hands tightly , assuring that I would be with her .
She was screaming in pain and tears flowed through my eyes to see her in such a state .
" Krita .. don't panic .. listen to me .. it's nothing . I know you can ! You're my brave girl ."
All she could do was to shout and scream in pain .
Then next second , our happiness , our symbol of love , out baby came out of her belly . After the wait of 10 months we saw our baby for the very first time .
Our face had a bright smile , I kissed her teary cheeks and doctor made the baby lie on her chest , as the baby must be given mother's touch for the first time .
Doctor : Congratulations it's a boy !
